Job summary
We are currently in an exciting period of expansion and development for Adult & Paediatric Ear, Nose & Throat services in East Kent Hospitals. The ENT Department forms part of Specialist Surgery (along with Ophthalmology and Maxillo Facial Services) within East Kent Hospitals. All 3 Departments share a subspecialist Head and Neck Ward at William Harvey Hospital. ENT currently has regular access to both Padua Ward at WHH & Dolphin Ward at K&C.
Attracting 10 PAs, applications are invited for a Paediatric ENT Consultant, with the skills and knowledge to also support General ENT. On call commitment required at William Harvey base site, working alongside 14 Consultants.
We aim for every consultant to excel in both clinical and non-clinical endeavors, including clinical leadership, research, teaching and other allied areas, supported by innovative development programs provided within the trust.
Main duties of the job
This is a 10PA role with additional on-call requirements. The appointee will primarily be based at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford and will deliver general paediatric surgery & clinics, associated admin work, and have proportionate SPA time - there will also be an element of General adult ENT activity. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It's about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We're looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.

Are you a caring and compassionate Healthcare Assistant who is passionate about supporting people through their recovery journey? If so, we would welcome your application to join our team at Wharfedale Recovery Hub.
Supporting a Home First approach is at the heart of our service. Our Recovery Hubs play a vital role in facilitating timely hospital discharge and preventing avoidable admissions.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support patients with their personal care, daily living activities, and rehabilitation programmes, helping them regain independence and achieve their goals. You will work closely with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.
We are committed to supporting your development through a comprehensive induction programme, ongoing training, regular supervision, and a strong team support network.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and make a meaningful difference to patients' recovery, wellbeing, and independence.
For further information please contact Dutu Dumitru, [email protected], 07858 685512
Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant within our Short-Term Care Beds service, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients requiring short-term inpatient rehabilitation. You will assist with implementing care plans and rehabilitation programmes, undertake and record delegated clinical observations, maintain accurate documentation, and promptly report any changes in a patient's condition. You will also contribute to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, whilst supporting safe and timely discharge planning.
A key aspect of the role is motivating and encouraging patients to maximise their independence and actively participate in their recovery. You will work closely with patients, families, and carers to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
This role is part of a 24-hour, 7-day service. The post holder will be required to work a mixture of long day shifts (07:45 to 20:15) and night shifts (19:45 to 08:15), including weekends and bank holidays, on a rotational basis. Flexibility to work both day and night shifts is essential.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust for a Band 6 Deputy Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our brand-new Alcohol Care Team (ACT).
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service being built from scratch. Backed by our Drug and Alcohol Strategy 2030, the ACT will transform how BHT identifies, treats and supports patients affected by alcohol-related harm -- one of the biggest and fastest-growing causes of ill health in our local population. You will play a key role in delivering hands-on specialist care, supporting patients through detoxification, and helping to reduce the harm falling disproportionately on our most deprived communities.
The team will sit within Integrated Medicine and will be led by our newly appointed Matron for Gastroenterology -- a great time to join a service with real backing, ambition and room to grow. You will work closely with colleagues across the acute site and with community and specialist partners including One Recovery Bucks and BeHealthyBucks.
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and developing new specialist skills. A passion for tackling stigma and improving outcomes for vulnerable patients is a must.
Experience in alcohol care, addictions, liver disease or a related specialist field would be strongly desirable.
In return, we offer a flexible working pattern, hands-on development within a new specialist service, and a supportive wider team.

- Supports systematic screening and assessment of patients across the acute site.

- Provides advice, education and support to colleagues, students and patients to build confidence and challenge stigma.
- Contributes to clinical audit and data collection to help demonstrate the impact of the new service.
- Works with the Band 7 lead and Matron to help shape and grow the service.
- Displays excellent communication and team-working skills, always championing person-centred, non-stigmatising care.
