Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated Waste Operative to join the Facilities team at University Hospital Llandough. This is a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection, segregation, and transportation of clinical, hazardous, and domestic waste across the hospital site. You will play a key part in maintaining infection control standards, supporting patient safety, and ensuring compliance with waste legislation and Health Board policies.The successful candidate will work as part of a team providing an essential service to clinical and non-clinical areas, contributing to a clean, safe, and sustainable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
- Collect, transport, and safely dispose of clinical, hazardous, and domestic waste from designated areas within University Hospital of Wales.
- Ensure correct segregation of waste streams in line with Health Board policies, infection control standards, and statutory waste legislation.
- Operate waste handling equipment (e.g., trolleys, compactors) safely and report any faults promptly.
- Drive Health Board vehicles, including vans and electric tug vehicles, to transport waste between collection points and disposal areas.
- Maintain accurate records of waste movements and report any incidents or non-compliance.
- Adhere to Health & Safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE at all times.
- Provide a responsive service to clinical areas to ensure timely waste removal and prevent accumulation.
- Support sustainability initiatives by promoting correct waste segregation and recycling practices.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and clinical staff to maintain service standards.
- Undertake mandatory training and refresher courses relevant to waste handling, vehicle operation, and infection prevention.

Main duties of the job
Our Patient Services Team is often the first point of contact for our patients, so you'll play a really important role in making sure they feel welcomed, listened to and supported. Whether you're helping someone at reception, speaking to them on the phone or dealing with an online request, you will help patients find the right support and make their experience with the practice as smooth as possible.
No two days are quite the same. You will be involved in a wide variety of tasks, including:
- Helping patients with enquiries face-to-face, over the phone and online
- Booking appointments and helping patients access the most appropriate service for their needs
- Processing home visit requests and communicating test results
- Supporting new patient registrations and online access requests
- Processing referrals and keeping patient information accurate and up to date
- Monitoring practice communications and online systems to make sure important messages and updates are actioned
- Supporting our Online Triage service, including processing Anima requests and booking appointments following clinician guidance
- Managing tasks and waiting lists to help keep patient care moving
- Taking payments and completing routine daily administration
- Following practice procedures around confidentiality, safeguarding, health and safety and emergency situations
You will work closely with patients, clinicians and colleagues across the practice, so great communication and teamwork are really important.

As a member of our Patient Services Team, you will be at the heart of the patient experience. You will work closely with patients, clinicians and colleagues to make sure enquiries are handled professionally, information is accurate and patients are supported to access the right care.
Patient Support & Communication
- Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional and approachable manner, ensuring all enquiries are handled efficiently and confidentially.

- Regularly monitor Anima throughout the working day, ensuring requests are processed accurately and promptly.
- Process administrative requests received through Anima and respond to patients as appropriate.
- Action requests from GPs and NPs, including arranging appointments and following instructions or clinical comments.
- Support patients who contact us by telephone or face-to-face by creating an online triage request on their behalf where appropriate.

Job summary
We are excited to recruit Radiographers to join our Plain Film imaging team. In this role, Radiographers will be working throughout the Plain Film department rotating through a range of specialties including the emergency department, orthopaedics, pain and endoscopy unit, outpatients and mobiles, surgical theatres, and also our spoke sites in Henley and Bracknell.
As a progressive teaching department for radiographers we have established links to universities and actively encourage CPD and role extension, with support available to pursue academic courses and develop your career within a supportive and friendly environment. Our department offers excellent training and development opportunities with funding available for a variety of courses, study days, and post graduate training.
This Plain Film/General Band 6 Senior Radiographer post requires:
- HCPC registration
- Minimum of 18 months' post qualification clinical experience and demonstrable knowledge at interview.
- Prior NHS experience either through clinical placement training or previous employment
- Face-to-face interviews will be held in Reading. We are unable to offer remote interviews.

Main duties of the job
Applicants must demonstrate clinical skills competence and robust knowledge of radiographic anatomy and relevant pathology, alongside excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. They must be able to work both autonomously and within multi-disciplinary teams, show flexibility to work at satellite spoke sites, actively mentor radiography students and apprentices, and participate in the out-of-hours rota as part of our seven-day service delivery which includes evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
Senior Radiographers additionally must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions, assess clinical situations and act appropriately, display leadership behaviours, and provide mentorship to junior Radiographers.
This is a Plain Film rolewithout CT rotation. However if a future service need arises there may be an opportunity to rotate through CT or Interventional Radiology.
Applicants must hold HCPC registration and have prior NHS experience either through clinical placement training or previous employment. Applicants must have a minimum of 18 months' post qualification clinical experience.

The post holder will be a strategic leader, active clinician, fully visible and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop an informed and effective workforce for Dietetics, ensuring Registered and Non-registered Dietitians have the necessary competencies and skills to provide the best quality care by

This specialist post offers a 1-year opportunity to further develop your highly advanced clinical and leadership skills within the Shoulder and Elbow Unit at RNOH. Main duties of the job
The role encompasses assessing and treating patients in both an outpatient setting and those undertaking intensive, complex inpatient rehabilitation.
Whilst the role is predominantly clinical in nature it also includes a significant leadership role; supporting the evaluation of patient and service outcomes, active participation in quality improvement and service development and the training and development of other staff.
The Shoulder & Elbow Unit has a strong research foundation and the opportunity to actively participate in clinical research may be available during the year.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 3 Community Support Worker within the Brent Urgent Community Response Team, you will:

- Support patients with a range of nursing and therapy needs, helping them to maintain their independence and remain safely at home wherever possible.
- Carry out delegated clinical activities and interventions under the direction of a registered healthcare professional and within your agreed level of competence.
- Provide holistic, person-centred support, recognising changes in a patient's needs or condition and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Support the team with relevant clinical and administrative duties to ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care.
- Communicate effectively and sensitively with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and confidently use the relevant IT systems required for the role.
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider community team to deliver a responsive and effective service.

- Coaching and supporting managers through investigations and formal processes.

This will include but not restricted to day-to-day care of all aspects of patient care along with the inpatient MDT which to include nurses, AHP, Psychology and other professionals involved in day to day and overall care of the inpatients.
The consultant or/and senior member of the medical team will be expected to at least formally undertake a ward reviews twice a week along with the MDT.
