Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen as part of this model for a registered nurse with a keen interest in providing outstanding support within mental health community settings.
This is an exciting new role that builds upon the success of other Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme posts (ARRS) in physical health to create mental health specific roles that work alongside our GPs and other Primary Care colleagues, while receiving clinical support from our multidisciplinary mental health teams in West London Trust.
The role will offer mental health assessments and brief interventions to referred patients and will also work to support the development of mental health expertise within a defined group of GP practices aligned to a specific PCN.
As one of our MHARRS practitioners you will be employed on a permanent NHS contract and will be hosted within a defined PCN. You will work alongside GPs, practice nurses, social prescribers and other primary care based professionals to help deliver an integrated and holistic approach to care.
Throughout your employment in this role you will receive regular supervision from a Senior clinician within MINT and will work within an agreed scope of practice, although we expect this to change and develop as the role develops.
Main duties of the job
The post holders will provide assessments, formulation and delivery of the psychological intervention/s in primary care, as well as supporting access to MINT or other services such as Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP), Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT where needs can be better met by these services.
The post holder would be expected to work closely with experts by experience, local communities and will also be involved in raising the awareness of mental health difficulties in the general population.
o Review and support the practice lists of SMI including completion of annual reviews with the GPs.
o Where appropriate; proactively in conjunction with GPs identify and clarify where people would benefit from mental health input (e.g. IAT or other services such as MINT)
o Facilitate people with long term mental health conditions to access mental health services and transfers of care back to their GP from WLT MINT.
o Screen, Triage and deliver short term interventions based on clients' needs and enable access to therapeutic activities working closely with voluntary, Community and third sector organisations.
o Provide an enhanced level of support to PC clinicians through advice and training to improve skills and capacity in responding to the needs of people with mental health conditions discharged back to them

About us
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provide hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon. The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust. Around 4,100 staff provide services for a population of over 360,000 people who are relatively young with a high level of ethnic diversity.
Our main hospital site, Croydon University Hospital is one of the busiest in London. Our experienced district nursing teams, Allied Health Professionals and community matrons look after people of all ages across Croydon and our Children's Hospital at Home cares for children with long-term conditions without them having to come to hospital.
Across the NHS everyone is working hard to meet growing demand and we're no exception. But with the right people on board, we are rising to this challenge, putting our people in the driving seat, encouraging innovation and transforming our services to give local people the quality of care they deserve. Croydon Health Services puts a great deal of importance on education and training throughout the careers of all of our staff. As well as offering access to a range of core skills training and professional development.

Job summary
Our thriving and dynamic Gastroenterology department is based at Oldham, Fairfield and Rochdale, and is part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA).
This is a unique and exciting time to join an NHS service that is focused on delivering the best healthcare services to our local population, demonstrated by recent investment in an award winning Community Diagnostic Centre in Oldham (CDC), away from the acute site.
This state of the art modular build has PET-CT (to be upgraded to one of the first digital PET CT scanners in the country), MR, CT, Ultrasound and physiological testing. It has been the focus of national attention, visited by the Prime Minister, Professor Sir Mike Richards & the National Clinical Director for Elective care. In Autumn 2024 the CDC will be enhanced further by a co-located 3 room endoscopy unit with clinical rooms and on-site decontamination. Our ambition at the CDC is to transform the way that we traditionally deliver healthcare and to explore new and innovative delivery models that reflect the needs of both our staff and our patients. There cannot be a better time to join our team.
We have an award winning Tertiary Inflammatory Bowel Disease Centre, led by Professor J.K.Limdi, recognised nationally and internationally for clinical services and research.
Team members have the opportunity to influence the development of services.
