Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal United Hospitals Bath as a Band 7 Specialist Critical Care Dietitian on a fixed-term maternity cover basis.
As the clinical lead for dietetics within Critical Care, you will provide expert nutritional assessment and management for critically ill patients, working as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. You will manage a complex caseload, supporting patients throughout their critical care journey and ensuring nutrition interventions are evidence-based, individualised and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to combine high quality clinical practice with leadership, education and service improvement. In addition to delivering specialist patient care, you will support the ongoing development of the Critical Care Dietetic Service, contribute to quality improvement and research activities, and provide leadership and line management support within the wider dietetic team. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and adaptable dietitian who is passionate about critical care nutrition and is keen to make a meaningful contribution during this maternity leave cover period. Whether you are an established Band 7 or an experienced Band 6 looking for your next challenge, we would welcome your application.Main duties of the job
You'll be joining a supportive and progressive Adult Therapies team with strong links across Critical Care, Nutrition Support and the wider MDT.
- Lead the delivery of the specialist dietetic service within Critical Care during a period of maternity leave cover.
- Manage a highly specialised caseload of critically ill patients requiring complex nutritional assessment, intervention and monitoring.
- Act as the expert nutrition practitioner within the Critical Care multidisciplinary team, attending ward rounds and contributing to complex clinical decision-making.
- Develop, implement and evaluate individualised nutrition support plans, including oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition.
- Provide expert advice and support to patients, relatives and healthcare professionals on all aspects of nutritional management in Critical Care.
- Lead and contribute to audit, quality improvement, service evaluation and research activities that improve patient outcomes and service effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, pathways and standards to ensure services reflect current best practice.
- Provide education, supervision and mentorship to junior dietetic staff, students and members of the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Support service leadership activities, including workforce development, governance, performance monitoring and service improvement initiatives.

Job summary
This is a great opportunity to join the Retail Catering Team at the Royal United Hospital, Bath working in Atrium and Oasis Coffee Shops as well as our main Lansdown Restaurant.
We provide our patients, staff and visitors with a place to relax and an opportunity to take a break. Our coffee shops provide Lavazza Barista Coffees, as well as other hot drinks, plus a wide range of sandwiches, cakes and pastries like many high street coffee shops.
Our Lansdown restaurant serves three meals each day, together with hot drinks, sandwiches, and snacks.
Our Retail Team are focused on providing great customer service and we are always looking to improve our offering, giving team members the ability to suggest developments to enable us to serve our patients, staff, and customers even better. The successful candidate will be very much involved in building on the services provided and supporting the team in this goal.
As part of the Retail Team, you will also be serving customers with food and drinks, taking customer payments, setting up or clearing down serving areas, clearing customer tables, and helping to maintain a clean, hygienic environment.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the Retail Catering Team.
Providing great customer service in the retail catering outlets - Lansdown Restaurant, Atrium & Oasis Coffee Shops.
Preparing the outlets for service, serving food and beverages to customers, taking customer payments and helping to maintain a clean, hygienic environment.
To ensure the safety of the food services, completing food safety checks, and completing documentation for due diligence and assurance.

We have a purpose built unit designed for our family's and team needs. Family integrated care is our core focus. We are a UNICEF Neonatal Baby Friendly fully accredited unit which we're immensely proud of. We pride ourselves in our open and encouraging culture, for a team approach to quality improvement.
We have an embedded Transitional Care pathway, and an established Outreach service. We are actively involved in the South West Neonatal Network. We have a team of AHPs including a Psychologist who all offer fantastic added support.
Main duties of the job
You will also have excellent management and communication skills and take charge of the unit. Able to demonstrate effective clinical skills of a high quality, looking after special, high dependency and Intensive care babies. Able to demonstrate professional expertise and knowledge acquired through post registration academic study and clinical, leadership and management development. Managerial responsibility and accountability in the absence of the Lead Nurse, for the Neonatal Unit for the twenty four hour care delivery and management of the ward/area of work, including the supervision of staff and students. Expected to maintain a visible presence in the ward/area of work and provide a clear focus for effective clinical leadership to the nursing team . This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified BMS for the role of Expert Scientist Dissector. You will be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist, with extensive experience in Cellular Pathology with a membership or Fellowship with the IBMS. You will have completed or be working towards the IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection.
The role of an Expert Scientist dissector will predominantly be based within cutup, supporting the service, along side our Consultant Histopathologists and Specialist Trainees. Completing dissection of a range of Histopathology sub-specialties and achieving/maintaining competency in the dissection of category A, B and C specimens.
You will develop agreed protocols and policies and co-ordinate their implementation in the specimen reception and dissection area.
You will play a key role in service development for the dissection area, striving for and maintaining best practise. In liaison with the senior BMS team, the post holder will ensure a timely workflow and assist in maintaining high scientific and technical standards.
You will be active in the training of BMS team members learning dissection both at in-house level and DEP level.
To qualify for this role candidates must hold the DEP in dissection. However, candidates will also be considered if they are currently working towards this qualification.
Main duties of the job
- Overseeing the day to day workload and flow within dissection
- Achieve and maintain competency in the dissection of category A-C specimens.
- Completing daily dissection workload.
- Train and develop the competence of BMSs in handling and dissection of histological specimens categories A-C.

You will receive a tailored induction programme, including visits to adjacent areas within the department, followed by completion of the SACT Competency Passport within six months. They will have close liaison and communication with colorectal cancer nurses working in the surgical division, ensuring a seamless and integrated approach across the colorectal cancer pathway.
Main duties of the job
- To act as a key worker; delivering evidence based, personalised care through holistic assessment, care planning and evaluation of care through the running of nurse-led clinics for patients from diagnosis, through treatment and follow up. This might be via a clinic, inpatient or remote follow up setting.
- To work at an enhanced level to plan and provide clinical care and psychological support to patients with a cancer diagnosis who have complex needs.
- To use holistic assessment to deliver and maintain high standards of care within a multi-disciplinary team. (MDT)

The JCF will participate in the morning daily review of patients and multidisciplinary meetings with nursing and therapies. There are ample opportunities to perform lumbar punctures, skin biopsies.
There is a joint out of hours rota covering both hyperacute stroke and neurology.
The JCF will also participate in clinical governance and other audits on the unit. In addition, the JCF will be encouraged to participate in ongoing research on the unit and provide undergraduate teaching as appropriate. Kings College Hospital has an active educational programme, which the JCF will be expected to attend. These include weekly grand rounds, stroke and neurology specific teaching, neuroradiology meetings and various other teaching and training programmes within the Trust including MRCP teaching.

The JCF will take part in the day-to-day running of the neurology unit including patient assessment, physiological monitoring and initiation of acute interventions, liaison with Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery and Neurophysiology. The JCF will participate in the morning daily review of patients and multidisciplinary meetings with nursing and therapies. There are ample opportunities to perform lumbar punctures, skin biopsies.
There is a joint out of hours rota covering both hyperacute stroke and neurology.
The JCF will also participate in clinical governance and other audits on the unit. In addition, the JCF will be encouraged to participate in ongoing research on the unit and provide undergraduate teaching as appropriate. Kings College Hospital has an active educational programme, which the JCF will be expected to attend. These include weekly grand rounds, stroke and neurology specific teaching, neuroradiology meetings and various other teaching and training programmes within the Trust including MRCP teaching.
Applicants are expected to participate fully in the departmental neuroscience training programs. This post is not recognised for training purposes but our Trust grade doctors have the same educational and training opportunities as training grade doctors.
This post will provide experience to those considering a career in acute medicine, neurology, or related disciplines. Job summary
The postholder will provide clinical care to patients within a clearly defined scope of practice and under the overall direction and supervision of a named GP. You will assist with imaging examinations, manage and prepare equipment, support the effective use of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and help maintain smooth day-to-day department operations.
You will be confident working independently within established protocols, using your judgement and initiative to prioritise tasks and respond to patient and service needs. Your knowledge of imaging examinations and procedures will enable you to answer patient queries, support colleagues and contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, patient-centred service.

Undertake initial patient identification and screening checks, escalating any concerns.
Assist with patient transfers, positioning and manual handling.
Support vulnerable patients and those with additional needs.

We are looking for a kind, compassionate and motivated nurse to join our passionate, highly skilled multi-professional team. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in developing or enhancing their competency in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
Within the Medlock Unit, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skills and knowledge while supporting patients receiving SACT and other supportive treatments in an acute cancer setting. You will receive a tailored induction programme, including visits to adjacent areas within the department, followed by completion of the SACT Competency Passport within six months.

This role will play a key role in delivering anticipatory, personalised care for patients living with long-term conditions and frailty across community and care home settings. With a clinical background in managing conditions such as diabetes, COPD, heart failure, and multimorbidity, the postholder will reduce avoidable deterioration, support independent living, and improve quality of life through holistic assessment, care coordination, and early intervention. Working within an integrated multidisciplinary team, the nurse will champion continuity, equity, and proactive planning particularly for vulnerable and housebound cohorts.
One of the main aims of the proactive care team is to help reduce unplanned hospital admissions and A&E attendances.
As an autonomous practitioner, the successful candidate will ideally be a non-medical prescriber, able to demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making relating to long term conditions.

Job summary
North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board is seeking a motivated, resilient and highly organised Complaints and Patient Experience Officer to join our Complaints and Patient Experience Team. This is a Band 6 role, working on a hybrid basis across ICB locations, supporting the effective management of complex complaints and patient experience contacts across the services we commission.

Main duties of the job
In this role, you will manage a caseload of complex complaints and patient experience contacts from receipt through to resolution. You will secure detailed provider responses, prepare high quality written correspondence, maintain accurate records on SIRMS, and ensure cases are progressed within agreed timescales.

The role involves working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including NHS providers, clinical colleagues, contracting teams, advocacy organisations, Healthwatch and the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman where required.

We work closely with a variety of specialist services, including the Seamoor Unit, Acute Hospital at Home (AHAH), Haematology, Rheumatology and Gastroenterology teams, as well as local GP surgeries and the Eden Unit at Derriford. Together, we ensure patients can access specialist treatments closer to home whilst receiving exceptional, individualised care.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate current competence in peripheral venous cannulation and intravenous medication/infusion administration, with recent experience delivering IV therapies in a clinical setting.
