R Health Primary Care Network (PCN) is seeking enthusiastic, compassionate and forward-thinking GPs to join our supportive and innovative team. This opportunity is ideal for a GP seeking additional sessions and an opportunity to develop a portfolio career. The role offers excellent flexibility, with a reduced administrative workload and fewer non-clinical responsibilities, enabling you to focus on patient care and achieve a better worklife balance.
R Health PCN is a progressive and collaborative network of six practices serving a population of over 67,000 patients across Runcorn.
Successful applicants will receive ongoing mentorship and development within your host practice, alongside additional support from GP Health Connect Ltd (GPHC), your employing organisation.
Applicants must meet the current NHS England Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) eligibility requirements. In line with the Network Contract DES, applicants must not have been substantively employed as a General Medical Practitioner in a Core Network Practice within R Health Primary Care Network at any time during the previous 12 months.
Main duties of the job
As an ARRS Salaried GP, you will:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred care within the aligned practices.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, mental health practitioners, first contact physiotherapists and social prescribers, to ensure integrated patient care.
- Conduct consultations, assessments, and follow-ups with patients.
- Contribute to the management of chronic disease, health promotion, and disease prevention in line with best practices and PCN priorities.
- Participate in clinical audits, training, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care within the PCN.
- Support the development and implementation of new care pathways that align with ARRS objectives.
About us
R Health PCN is a progressive and collaborative Primary Care Network (PCN) dedicated to enhancing patient care and supporting healthcare professionals. Our PCN is committed to promoting health and well-being through patient-centred services and integrated care, with a focus on meeting the needs of our community. The PCN consists of 6 practices and covers a population of just over 67,000 patients.
You will be employed by the GP Federation, GP Health Connect Ltd. The Federation employ ARRS staff on behalf of the PCN and deliver services across Runcorn within the practices and community venues.

Job responsibilities
Role Summary
The post-holder will provide general medical services managing a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical Responsibilities
The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. The following outlines the key responsibilities but is not an exhaustive list.
- In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make them-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, video consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, ward rounds, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
- Providing advice and health education
- Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Collecting data for audit purposes
- Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
- Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
Other Responsibilities
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health, and safety
- A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
- Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation
- Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records
- Contributing to the summarising of patient records and coding patient data
- Attending training and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.
- Contributing to teaching where appropriate
- Attending practice team meetings
General Duties
The above responsibilities will be undertaken upholding the following:
To be available to take over the responsibility of patient care from the Out of Hours service at 0800 or where applicable maintain responsibility till the appropriate time when the Out of Hours service takes over care in the evening.
To continue to work until all clinical tasks have been completed. To arrange with others to cover when planning to leave before the end of the session.
At all times to behave in a professional way that encourages quality care and the development of a team spirit. 360-degree feedback is used to assess clinicians and you will be required to participate in this.
Communication and Relationships
- Communicate effectively with patients and carers and recognize peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships will all key stakeholders e.g. Practice team members, PCN colleagues, Federation, Community Nursing Teams, Community Mental Health Care Teams, Social Services, statutory and voluntary services.
Safeguarding
- All members of staff have a responsibility to ensure the Safeguarding of patients
- Ensure knowledge of Safeguarding policies and training is up to date.
- Demonstrate due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Confidentiality:
In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters. They do so in confidence and have the right to expect that staff will respect their privacy and act appropriately.
In the performance of the duties, the post-holder will have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, member practices, staff, and other healthcare workers. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.
Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the organisation may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

The post-holder will strive to maintain quality within the practice, and will:

Health & safety:
The post-holder will ensure the promotion and management of their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the organisations Health & Safety policy and the Infection Control policy and published procedures. This will include (but will not be limited to):
- Ensuring adherence to individual responsibilities for infection control and health and safety, using a system of observation, audit and check, hazard identification, questioning, reporting and risk management.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and infection control statutory and best practice guidelines and ensure implementation of these across all areas.
- Using personal security systems within the workplace according to organisation guidelines
- Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks.
- Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards, and initiation of remedial / corrective action where needed

Willow A is a large general medical ward and Willow B ward is a small friendly ward providing care to renal and haematology patients.

Previous experience as a housekeeper is not essential as in-house training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to meet the demands of this role.
Main duties of the job
Work under supervision of the Ward Manager/Registered Nurse as part of the ward team to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Serve patient meals and hot and cold beverages at the scheduled times, adhering to food hygiene regulations. Assist with feeding patients as deemed appropriate by qualified nursing staff.
Monitor and maintain high standards of cleaning and hygiene standards of ward kitchen (including fridge and microwave) and treatment/stock/staff rooms, ensuring all equipment/utensils and surfaces are clean at all times, eg discarding out of date food, stock rotation.

- We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Lead Research Nurse to join our award-winning research team at Banbury Cross Health Centre, part of the Thames Valley and Hampshire Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC).

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated primary care Ophthalmology Consultant required to cover medical Glaucoma but willing to cover general Ophthalmology, as required by the department to join our dedicated and professional multi-disciplined ophthalmic team.
You will be a highly valued member of the team bringing your expertise and skills to a busy Ophthalmology department. The post will be complementary to the current sub-specialty interests of Medical Retina, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Uveitis, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Cornea.
The service is supported by Specialist Doctors, Specialty Doctors, Orthoptists and Specialist Nurses.
This is a consultant post at 1.0 WTE including ad hoc theatre session(s), outpatient clinics, admin and SPA. Part time positions will also be accepted. This post does have an on-call requirement: First on call one night a week 5-9pm and second on call 1:4 Weekends - 9am to 9pm.
This is a very exciting time to join the Ophthalmology Department at Barnsley Hospital as the department has recently moved to the Alhambra Outpatients Department in the Barnsley town centre. The Trust plans to significantly invest in the redesign of the service over the next three years in order to deliver an efficient, patient-centred, one-stop service in partnership with other local providers.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of the Ophthalmology Department and are expected to provide a high-quality service and ensure excellent patient care.
Main Responsibilities include:
(a) Clinical Services:
The appointed clinician will, together with Consultant colleagues, be responsible for the planning, delivery and improvement of clinical care in Ophthalmology at the Alhambra Outpatients.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary teams to provide a high-quality Ophthalmology service.
Advise clinical colleagues on matters within his/her sphere of experience.
Liaise with other Health Care Organisations, Social Services, General Practitioners, Voluntary Organisations and the Hospice as required.
(a) Training and Education:
Contribute to the teaching of other grades of staff, both within and outside the department, including medical staff, nurses, paramedical staff and scientific and technical staff.

Ward 26B is an elective surgical ward caring for patients undergoing planned surgical procedures booked through the Trust's waiting list coordinators. The ward admits and cares for patients from a range of surgical specialties.

They will join our multi-disciplinary front of house team, TOCALS (Transfer of Care Advice and Liaison Service), as a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist. TOCALS play a pivotal role in promoting excellent links between acute, intermediate, community and third sector services; this is vital to ensure continuity of care, and promote the right care, in the right place, at the first time approach.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will require extensive post graduate experience across a broad array of clinical areas, which they can apply to the diverse populations who present to front of house services. They will need to be able to provide highly specialist assessments, with a focus upon discharge planning, from which they can develop and implement co-produced, personalised high quality plans for patients. The post holder will play a key role in following the patients' journeys through hospital, and out into the community.
The post holder will be able to evidence a passion for high quality care and experience of service improvement, particularly where this links with national drivers. Strong leadership, organisational and team management skill are essential, with the need to lead a team in pressurised and fast pace environments. Continuous personal and professional development is essential to ensure TOCALS is responsive to current evidence based practice and population needs. The Clinical Lead Physiotherapist will support leading an in-service training programme for the team, promoting the team to be reflective life-long learners. They will also support staff supervision and annual reviews. Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic , proactive and compassionate individual to join our musculoskeletal outpatient therapy team as a therapy support worker. You should have relevant prior experience working as a physiotherapy or occupational therapy support worker in the NHS or other healthcare setting, or as a level 2 or equivalent qualified exercise instructor.
You will have the opportunity to work with patients with musculoskeletal problems, to improve function and promote independence using exercise including group classes and hydrotherapy.
You will also undertake administrative, cleaning and housekeeping tasks, complying with health and safety and infection control policies to ensure seamless provision of therapy services.
We are looking for an individual who is motivated, enthusiastic and flexible in all areas of care and their approach to work. You will have the ability to work well individually and as part of a team . You will work across both hospital sites and at community venues to support the delivery of exercise classes. You will be required to contribute to the therapy weekend working rota. Being able to swim and submerge under water and be confident in the hydrotherapy pool is also important.

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for providing a full secretarial and PA service to the Medical Division. This is an exciting time to join the existing AP team in the Emergency Department here at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead and we are looking for a Trainee Junior Nurse Practitioner (leading to Trainee AP role) who is able to complement our existing team.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Therapy Team at Hillingdon Hospital for a part time band 6.
We are seeking a band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our friendly, integrated inpatient therapy department. The therapy department is the third largest staff group within the Trust and is widely respected. As a Occupational Therapist, you will play an essential part in the assessment, treatment, and discharge of patients. Job summary
We are seeking enthusiastic Band 5 Physiotherapists to join our friendly and professional therapy services.
The post will be a rotational post across the Hillingdon Hospital Site (Uxbridge) and Mount Vernon Hospital site (Northwood). The 4 monthly rotational post offers experience in a wide range of clinical settings including Musculo-skeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics -including Rapid Recovery programme and Joint School for joint replacements, Medical / Surgical including ITU, Neuro Rehabilitation, Acute Stroke Unit, Elderly Care. There is also the opportunity to rotate to rapid response in the community setting which is supported in collaboration with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services are fully integrated providing an exciting, friendly and supportive environment in which staff are encouraged to develop to their full potential. There is a strong emphasis on continuing professional development, and life-long learning.
Both Hospital sites offer undergraduate clinical placements to students from NW London Universities and the University of Hertfordshire.

Main duties of the job
To deliver a complex package of high quality healthcare including assessment, treatment and advice to patients with various needs in a variety of settings. To participate in the Junior Rotational scheme which may involve outpatients, orthopaedics, Hand Therapy, Orthopaedics on the Mount Vernon Site and ITU/surgery, medical, outpatients, orthopaedics, care of the elderly, acute stroke unit and neurological rehabilitation on the Hillingdon site.
