Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified individual to become the new Blood Sciences Deputy Operations Manager in a state of the art laboratory setting.
Blood Sciences has state of the art laboratory facilities and IT equipment which plays a pivotal role in the provision of approximately 11 million diagnostic tests per year which is essential for the delivery of high-quality clinical care. Extensive services are offered to all Directorates within the Trust and Primary Care, whilst being a regional and national reference laboratory for other Trusts.
The department is UKAS accredited and is housed at both Freeman Hospital and Royal Victoria Infirmary. The laboratory is progressive and well equipped and is accredited for training, with participation in CPD being actively encouraged.

Main duties of the job
As the Deputy Operations Manager for Blood Sciences, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational activities within Blood Sciences to ensure the smooth running of the Department on your site. The role will include management of facilities and associated staff, including reorganisation in the face of unexpected situations. You will also be expected to deputise for the Operational Site Manager on occasions.
The role will initially be based at the Freeman Hospital, with cross-site working being an essential part of the role.

This will involve using highly developed knowledge and organisational skills and the post holder will be the lead specialist in that field (shown in the organisation chart).
- To provide specialised scientific knowledge and to work as a member of the team to assess, plan and contribute to the provision of a specialised service.
- Routinely operate laboratory equipment, including microscopy where necessary, reporting all appropriate specimens and referring any abnormalities on for medical opinion.
- To provide a patient focussed service in relevant wards and clinics. This involves capillary or venous phlebotomy services and providing a near patient testing service so that immediate results are issued for action by clinical staff.
- To ensure laboratory diagnostic tests and procedures - including those on "High Risk" specimens - are performed accurately and efficiently and judgement used in determining if further tests / procedures are necessary.
- To use advanced levels of knowledge and experience to coordinate activity in all laboratory and point of care areas whilst directing other staff members.
- To assess all blood and body fluid samples and report all cases not requiring medical opinion.
- To undertake internal and external quality control of all aspects of the Blood Sciences test repertoire to ensure highest quality of service from all performed tests.
- To ensure laboratory diagnostic tests and procedures are performed accurately and efficiently and results validated macroscopically and microscopically and judgement used in determining if further tests/procedures are necessary.
- To ensure that the performance of laboratory equipment within the section complies with standards and in the event of failure or mal-function takes prompt and appropriate action to ensure continued running of the section.

Job summary
This is a replacement post for a Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics &Gynaecology.
This post would be suitable for a doctor with at least 4 years of postgraduate experience who would be interested in Obstetrics and General Gynaecology, outpatient Hysteroscopy (OPH) and Gynaecology Cancer/Oncology looking to work in NHS.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and enthusiastic team of 24 consultants delivering safe, effective care for obstetrics and gynaecology patients in Buckinghamshire.
The successful candidate will have a job plan based on 10 PAs and will be expected to support both obstetrics and gynaecology. The candidate will be based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury with cross-site working at Wycombe Hospital running antenatal and gynaecological clinics, outpatient hysteroscopy, and support on-call as service requires.
The post holder will be encouraged and supported to develop their own interests within the agreed job plan with a focus on contributing towards Gynaecology recovery to fulfil national and Trust targets.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will play an important part in day-to-day management of obstetric and gynaecological patients. The post holder will run Antenatal and General Gynaecology outpatient clinics and outpatient hysteroscopy with specialist clinics based on clinical skills and experience.

We are seeking an experienced and motivatedBiomedical Scientist or Registered Nurse to join our team as a Specialist Practitioner of Transfusion (SPOT).
The successful candidate will promote safe and effective transfusion practice across the Trust, delivering education and training to clinical staff, supporting compliance with BSQR, SABRE and SHOT requirements, and acting as the key link between the Blood Transfusion Department and clinical teams.
Key responsibilities include investigating transfusion incidents, managing traceability, developing transfusion policies, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and representing the Trust at regional and national transfusion meetings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 7 practitioner, or an experienced Band 6 looking to develop their specialist transfusion expertise, within a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality adult nursing care while supporting women, babies, and families in a dynamic maternity and obstetric setting. You will deliver safe, compassionate care, administer medications within your competence, and contribute to pregnancy-related and new born care within your scope, with support from specialists when needed.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be part of the clinical team who ensure that clinical care of patients, and others using the services, receive an efficient and quality service.
The role responsibilities will be to:
- Prepare the clinical areas (theatres) to receive patients for surgical procedures
- Provide assistance in clinical areas for immediate post-operative care when the need arises
- Assist in the positioning and preparation of the patient as directed by the surgical team
- Ensurethat any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the lab
- Ensure all care is documented on the IT system, including all disposables, and everything is logged accurately on the correct system in accordance with Trust and departmental policy and procedures
- Help control cross infection by observing departmental policy regarding

Your working hours will be: On a shift basis but, the normal hours for this role are 4 days per week/ 8 days per fortnight. Early shifts start at 0730 and finish at 1652. Late shifts start at 1240 and finish at 2200, this will be 9 hour 22 minute days. Weekend and bank holiday working will be required.
You can expect to work some long hours, but you wont be working more than five days a week.

Job summary
We are looking for motivated clinician to work 5 days (37.5 hours per week) in South Gloucestershire CAMHS locality team, based in Kingswood and Patchway Hubs. This role has become available as the current post holder has secured internal promotion.
You will be appropriately qualified (Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Family Therapist, Accredited CBT therapist) and have appropriate professional registration. You will need to demonstrate that you have experience of holding your own caseload including risk assessment and management of complex and enduring mental health needs. Preferably from working within a community CAMHS service but may also include significant experience within other similar services such as adult mental health.

Main duties of the job
To work within a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment and treatment of children and young people with serious and complex mental health difficulties.

This post is open to newly qualified social workers. Main duties of the job

Transcend is a newly commissioned service established to explore how Gender Incongruence can be best supported and treated within a Primary Care setting. An excitingopportunityhas arisen for a Specialty Doctor post in the Urology Department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, working with a supportive and friendly team in the newly built Urology Unit.
The post includes on call, assisting in theatre and supporting clinicians in clinic. Day to day work will cover outpatient, elective & emergency aspects of the service.
This post is not a training post but the team will provide support with training for diagnostic procedures such as local anaesthetic prostate biopsies.
As we operate from three main hospitals there is an expectation of cross bay travel so a driving license and a car is essential.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team.
The post, including on call commitment, would cover clinical duties across our sites.
The post holder will be expected to support the Urology services offered by the Trust and provide the highest quality of care to the local population.
The post holder will be supported by our Consultants and our urology specialist nurse practitioners with ward support provided by the Matron's.
The post holder will be supported to take part in medical audits and in continuing medical education, (including self-development and maintaining accreditation).
There is a requirement for regular appraisal to be undertaken by the lead responsible for these services.

Stratton Medical Centre is a busy town practice on the outskirts of Bude. We have over 10,700 patients who are looked after by an integrated team of 9 GPs, 2 Nurse Practitioners, a Paramedic, 2 Nurses, 3 Health Care Assistants and a Phlebotomist.
As part of a wider Primary Care Network (PCN), our GP team also benefit from a clinical pharmacist, a home visiting paramedic, a social prescriber and health and wellbeing coach. Job summary
The Capital and Connectivity Support Officer provides administrative and coordination support across the DDaT capital programme and medical device connectivity projects. The postholder will support digital and medical device capital schemes through maintaining accurate documentation and trackers, raising purchase orders, monitoring progress, and coordinating with clinical teams, DDaT colleagues, Clinical Engineering, suppliers and other stakeholders.
The postholder will also support medical device connectivity projects by maintaining project records, coordinating meetings and communications, following up agreed actions and dependencies, and escalating delays, unresolved issues or technical matters to the Medical Device Capital and Connectivity Manager or relevant technical lead.
The postholder will support the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including document control, version tracking and timely review, and contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the department's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 standards. The role will also support routine departmental KPI and DDaT capital programme reporting using agreed information and templates.

Coordinate and prioritise incoming requests, working with relevant teams to support agreed workloads, actions and deadlines.

We are a small, dedicated team which consists of a senior partner, 2 salaried GP's, an ANP, a senior Practice Nurse, pharmacists, a physiotherapist and an admin team. Our list size is roughly 5400 at the moment.
