We are recruiting nurses with Emergency department experience who want to further their career in a fast paced, lively and renowned department.

We encourage internal rotations based solely on individual aspirations as well as supporting staff through every step of their emergency care career pathway.
We see the importance in providing the highest standard of care to our patients and therefore encourage our team to take up the opportunities of learning advanced skills, completing the Advanced Life Support course, as well as the Trauma Nursing Core course and our Emergency Capital Nurse course accredited by King's College London.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in all areas of the department, supported by the band 7 team.
Main duties of the job
- Carry out planned care for a group of patients without supervision
- Ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based, individualised patient care
- Assist and advise staff, both registered and unregistered in the delivery of patient care
- Maintain accurate clinical observations of the patient and act accordingly.

- Plan, organise and deploy staff according to ability and workload in order to meet patient needs. Manage effective flows of patients within Emergency Services to meet NHS targets

We have identified the need for a specific nurse to support and oversee this group of patients. Main duties of the job
- Act as a clinical expert within your sphere of work.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced speech & language therapist who exemplifies our Trust values to join our Adult Acute Speech & Language Therapy (SLT). The post-holder will provide a specialist service to adult inpatients with communication and/or swallowing disorders resulting from acquired neurological/ medical/ surgical conditions, with a specific remit for patients within the critical care setting, including management of issues relating to tracheostomy and ventilator dependence. The Adult Acute service is provided to patients within the specialisms of Acute and Specialist Medicine, Neurosciences, Surgery, Cancer and Critical Care.
The post holder will work as an integrated member of the multidisciplinary teams providing assessment and management to critical care patients across a range of medical and surgical specialisms on the Charing Cross Hospital (CXH) site and provide support to units on the St Mary's (SMH) and Hammersmith Hospital (HH) sites if/as required.
Main duties of the job
- To provide comprehensive and specialist therapy assessment and diagnosis for patients with a range of highly complex presentations, by utilising advanced clinical reasoning, evidence-based knowledge, investigate and analytical skills and specialist assessment techniques.
- To work both independently and within a team structure, demonstrating leadership to manage own and team caseload. To efficiently manage a caseload and organise this effectively regarding clinical priorities and use of time.
- To formulate and deliver an individualised and specialist care plan / therapy management programme based on advanced knowledge of evidence-based practice, advanced clinical reasoning skills and a wide range of specialist treatment options. As a specialist clinician to provide a second opinion where required.
- To support the provision of instrumental assessments on site as clinically appropriate and as required by the service, including identifying appropriate patients, under-taking joint assessments, analysis, reporting and feedback.
- To work in collaboration with other members of the MDT to provide an integrated service for patients, participating in joint clinics, ward rounds, multi-disciplinary assessment/treatment, family/ carer support and education, attending regular meetings and case conferences as appropriate.
- To help lead and participate in quality improvement, clinical governance projects, audit and research as required by the Clinical Service Lead for Adult SLT.

Job summary
Reporting to the Divisional Director of Operations, and professionally accountable to the Divisional Director, the General Manager is responsible for the operational and strategic management of a large, complex directorate across the Trust. The post holder leads service delivery and improvement at scale, managing multiple services/sites, and influencing regional and system-wide developments.
The post holder will leads the service delivery and improvement within a single directorate, ensuring high-quality care and efficient use of resources, ensuring their directorate provides high quality patient care and achieves its performance objectives. This will include accountability for the delivery of high quality patient care, clinical governance, patient safety, clinical quality, and delivery of people and financial metrics.
They will have shared responsibility with the other General Managers and members of the divisional management team for driving forward division wide programmes of work and service developments.
Main duties of the job
- Delivery of agreed performance indicators in relation to clinical outcomes, clinical efficiency, financial sustainability and productivity gains, and service line reporting.
- Ensure the Directorate has clearly defined performance objectives supported by a management regime to deliver continuous improvement.
- Manage the implementation of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to support monitoring of compliance with clinical governance standards,other Trust-wide policies and processes and best practice requirements;
- Responsible for maximising staff engagement across the directorate through effective leadership and the application for best practice in people management.
- Be accountable to the Divisional Director of Operations for the sound financial management of the directorate, in line with Standing Financial Instructions and following the latest Trust guidance.
- Support the Divisional Director in identifying both new opportunities for the individual services within the directorate, arising from changes in the external environment or internal innovation and potential threats and ways to respond to them;
