Job summary
Applications are invited for a 6-month to 1-year Resident Registrar post in Paediatric Surgery within our department at Birmingham Children's Hospital, one of the busiest in the United Kingdom. The post will be on the Resident (1 in 8) tier of Paediatric Surgery and Urology on call rota (depending on the experience of the successful applicant). Further details about the resident and non-resident tiers are provided below.
Main duties of the job
The Department of Paediatric Surgery and Urology consist of 14 Consultant Paediatric Surgeons and Urologists. We serve a regional population of over 5 million, as well as receiving supra-regional referrals for complex cases. In addition, two Paediatric Hepatobiliary and Transplant surgeons provide their training expertise.
The placement offers exposure to a wide range of Paediatric Surgery and Urology at tertiary level. Successful Candidates will join the team on the Resident Registrar Tier on the Paediatric Surgery and Urology on call rota (please see job description for a description of the tiered rota).
Applicants should possess either the MBBS or recognised equivalent European equivalent.
Due to the nature of the position, the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

The applicant will join the existing team of cardiac surgical middle grade staff at Birmingham Children's Hospital, working on a 1:4 on-call rota.
Posts are available to start from October 2026 - April 2028
Applicants must possess GMC registration and License to Practice, or have acquired the requisite scores in the IELTS or OET to be eligible for GMC registration. The fellow will assist in the operating theatre and perform some procedures under supervision, perform invasive procedures on the ICU, organize weekly MDT meetings, organize operating lists, conduct surgical rounds on the cardiology wards, and support the out-patient post-operative nurse-led clinic.
The on-call rota has been altered to comply with the provisions of the New Junior Doctors' Contract. There is a 1:4 non-resident rota, with the on-call fellow on-site until 2230. After this the Fellow may be off-site on condition that s/he can access the ICU within 15 minutes.
On-call commitments are principally in the day-to-day management of post-operative cases on the ICU, presentation on ICU rounds, conducting business rounds on the wards, organizing the operating list for the next day, and liaising between ICU and surgical teams. The fellow is expected to take an active role in the joint management of ICU cases, including those on ECLS.
The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Service is based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, and fellows will have the opportunity to participate in the fortnightly MDT and the weekly operating list. Fellows have no on-call duties at the QE Hospital.

Main duties of the job
- To perform physiotherapy assessment of patients with neurological presentations on the Stroke and neuro rehabilitation pathways to develop and deliver an individualised treatment program.

Main duties of the job
Work as an integral member of the Learning Disability Team, holding responsibility for a designated caseload of adults with learning disabilities who present with complex mental health, behavioural, neurodevelopmental and emotional needs. Positively advocate for the rights, inclusion and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities, addressing health inequalities and improving access to statutory, voluntary and community services.
Provide highly specialised psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions tailored to individual cognitive, communication and sensory needs. Offer specialist consultation to multidisciplinary colleagues, families and support providers to inform person-centred care planning, risk management. Undertake safeguarding, mental capacity and risk assessments in line with relevant legislation and professional standards. Deliver training, supervision and reflective practice, contribute to service development, audit, research and quality improvement, and maintain accurate clinical records, reports and outcome measures

The Department of Anaesthesia at Leicester General Hospital provides comprehensive anaesthetic services to a wide range of specialties, including obstetrics, elective orthopaedics, elective gynaecology, urology, general surgery, day-case surgery, and the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
Leicester General Hospital is a tertiary referral centre for urology and delivers major urological and gynaecological robotic surgery. The Pain Management and Sleep Medicine services are also based at this site.
The recently opened East Midlands Planned Care Centre (EMPCC) is now fully operational, providing day-case and 23-hour care across a broad range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, urology, gynaecology, ENT, and ophthalmology. The hospital has a total of 18 operating theatres, including two located within the EMPCC.
Main duties of the job
To provide Consultant Anaesthetic cover for anaesthesia, elective and emergency surgery at UHL including preoperative assessment and postoperative care.
- To participate in an Anaesthetic On-Call Rota and/or weekend emergency or trauma cover.
- - To support the provision of consultant delivered perioperative care.
- - Deliver a high quality anaesthetic service, supporting the department with a positive attitude towards flexible working.

Job summary
This is a 6 PA substantive Consultant Psychiatrist in Community Old Age Psychiatry: Newcastle North OAP CTT.
This service operates at the St Nicholas Hospital in Gosforth, There are close links with the other Newcastle older adults' community mental health teams and inpatient services, as well as the large all-age liaison psychiatry services at RVI, and the Universal Crisis team.
You will join an experienced and well-established OAP CTT service which provides assessment and treatment for older adults with both functional and organic mental illnesses.
You will join a skilled multi-disciplinary (MDT) workforce, including Consultant colleagues, Specialty doctor, resident doctors, non-medical prescribers, Nursing colleagues, Psychologist and Occupational therapist.
As a Consultant, you will know what it means achieve this by leading a team. Striving for a better service leads to a better you.
Working 6 PAs a week over 3 days alongside the multidisciplinary team, including SAS doctors, resident doctors, and wider clinical team, you will be the clinical expert from a medical perspective to ensure best practice care is delivered and support the team.

- The post holder will participate in the engagement, assessment, diagnosis and formulation of patients referred to the Newcastle North Older persons CMHT

Flexible cystoscopy (with state-of-the-art Olympus flexible cystoscopies), uro-dynamics, nurse-led and Consultant andrology clinics and intra-vesical chemotherapy clinics.
ESWL is provided by the regional mobile supplier and overseen by a Nurse Specialist with an associated Stone MDT.
Outreach clinics are held in the surrounding towns of Newmarket, Thetford, and Sudbury. The new appointment would be expected to undertake outreach clinics to fit with the rest of the department after consultation.
The eight-bedded intensive care unit has recently been substantially enlarged and upgraded. A high dependency facility has recently been opened. There is a 24-hour recovery unit attached to theatres.

Job summary
Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and experienced Cardiologist to join our dynamic Cardiology team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 6 months, providing cover for a consultant sabbatical. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and development of high-quality clinical services across cardiology.
The successful candidate will work closely with our team of specialist nurses and consultant colleagues, while contributing to the wider range of cardiology subspecialty services.
This post is offered at 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week and is for a fixed term of 6 months
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:o Contribute to clinical services across the Cardiology department.o Undertake cath lab sessions, including pacemaker implantation.o Work collaboratively with the wider cardiology team to enhance service provision and promote innovation.o Contribute to multidisciplinary working with specialist nurses, consultants and other members of the clinical team.o Run General Cardiology outpatient clinics.o Provide early diagnosis, treatment and appropriate follow-up for patients with cardiovascular disease.o Contribute to improving waiting times, patient experience and Referral to Treatment (RTT) performance.o Support the delivery of efficient, patient-centred outpatient services.
