Job summary
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Park View Medical Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an NMC-registered nurse with previous GP Practice Nurse experience to work within a busy, high-achieving training practice caring for approximately 6,000 patients. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, managing their own clinics and supporting patients with long-term conditions while working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team. The role includes chronic disease management (including diabetes, asthma and COPD), cervical cytology, immunisations, travel vaccinations, contraception, health promotion and other core practice nursing duties. We are committed to supporting our staff through ongoing training and professional development and pride ourselves on maintaining a positive, friendly working environment with excellent staff retention.
Please note: This vacancy is only suitable for applicants with current or previous GP Practice Nurse experience. Applications from nurses without at least 2 years General Practice experience and recruitment agencies will not be considered.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work independently within their professional scope of practice to deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to our practice population.
Main duties include:
- Managing chronic disease clinics, including diabetes, asthma and COPD.
- Undertaking cervical cytology (smear tests).
- Administering routine, childhood and travel immunisations and vaccinations.
- Providing contraception advice and associated services.
- Carrying out venepuncture, ECGs, spirometry, peak flow measurements and other clinical procedures.
- Delivering NHS Health Checks, health reviews and health promotion advice.
- Supporting and promoting infection prevention and control by adhering to national guidance and practice policies, maintaining safe clinical environments, ensuring appropriate vaccine storage and stock management, and contributing to infection control audits and quality improvement activities.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records using the practice clinical system.
- Working collaboratively with GPs, the wider multidisciplinary team and external healthcare professionals to provide safe, effective patient care.
- Participating in audits, clinical governance, mandatory training and continuing professional development.
- Contributing to the achievement of CQC standards and contractual quality requirements.

We are looking for a caring and motivated Genomic Practitioner, an exciting and newly established Healthcare Science Practitioner role within the Genomic Counselling work stream. Job summary
The Mental Health Rapid Response Worker will work as part of a flexible team providing enhanced care and therapeutic engagement to patients experiencing mental health crisis within AED departments across the CWP footprint. The role will involve providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care, completing patient observations and supporting the safe transportation of patients between healthcare settings, from their place of residence and carrying out Section 135 / CTO Recalls. The post holder will also support patients who are detained under the Mental Health Act, including those held under Section 136, providing appropriate care, observation, reassurance ad support while maintaining their safety, dignity and wellbeing. The role requires effective partnership with clinical teams, emergency services and other agencies to ensure patients receive safe and compassionate care throughout their time within Urgent Care.

Job summary
To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to consultants, junior medical staff and medical secretaries including CAS support, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality is maintained at all times.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide high quality services to the community who use the Integrated Contraception and Sexual Health (iCaSH) services across Cambridgeshire. You will be based at our site in Huntingdon.
You have, 'front of house', experience, with a demonstrable ability to develop a warm and welcoming rapport with people who use our services.
You have a keen eye for detail and have an understanding of the sensitivity and confidentiality involved in the delivery of a contraception, sexual health and HIV service.
You are required to hold a Care Certificate qualification, be trained to provide both phlebotomy, microscopy and chaperone duties, or demonstrate a willingness to undertake training.
The service operates, 8.30am to 6pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You must be willing to work across all parts of the service where appropriate and be able to meet the travel requirements of the Trust.
You will be part of a dynamic team who ensure the efficient and effective use of available resources, in meeting the contraception, sexual health and HIV care needs of people in Cambridgeshire.
Working Pattern: on a rota - Mon/Tue/Wed/Thurs - 8.30am to 6pm

Main duties of the job

The post is for a consultant Haematologist on a fixed term on a 12 months contract and will be based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich (QEH).
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to help develop a high-quality service in this busy district general hospital, delivering comprehensive Haemato-Oncology, General Haematology & Laboratory Haematology services.
The trust is in the process of operationalising a number of exciting service transformations, such as an Emergency Department Bypass Unit to improve the outcomes and experiences of our patients with sickle cell. The department is also exploring opportunities for the expansion of our treatment capacity for malignant and non-malignant haematology and is in the process of developing a strategy to adopt innovative ways of working. The postholder will have the opportunity to contribute to the clinical leadership of these exciting developments.
This role will be delivered as whole-time equivalent amounting to 10 programmed activities per week, subject to job plan review. Any applicant who is unable for personal reasons, to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.
Main duties of the job
The appointee will be based at QEH to provide a General Haematology service as well as Haem- Malignancy service.
The general Haematology workload includes providing full haematological support to all patients treated at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, GPs and the local Mental Health Trust (Oxleas). The population served is approximately 800,000. Traditionally the Haematologists have had good working links with the GPs and have provided a direct consultative service for interpretation of haematological tests and clinical problems. Anticoagulation services are partially moving into the community.
The post holder is expected to take an equal share in the delivery inpatient haematology services including Level 2B, laboratory haematology workload including blood film, bone marrow and Transfusion Management.
The post holder may be required to undertake other duties appropriate for a Consultant Haematologist not otherwise specified.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK's leading providers of non-surgical cancer treatment, caring for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS East & South East London Pathology Partnership (ESEL) Haematology Department in our journey to excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist with a positive attitude, proven leadership abilities, a positive outlook, and a strong commitment to patient care by participating in a 24-hour Agenda for Change shift system. The successful candidate will be primarily based at The Royal London Hospital site (RLH) but may be expected to cover and support other ESEL sites depending on service demand. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Red Cell Haematology section with core responsibility for the partnership's Haemoglobinopathy services and will collaborate with Operational Leads to drive service innovation and transformation. The department serves a diverse patient demographic and participates in the NHS Antenatal Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Screening programme, utilizing Bio-Rad Variant II analysers. Additionally, the department utilises Winpath LIMS and Sysmex equipment for Haematology and Coagulation across all ESEL sites
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible to the Operational Lead of the site and is required to carry out/ supervise technical and scientific work in the section. They will practice as a HCPC registered Senior Biomedical Scientist providing a patient focused, cost effective and efficient service.Duties will include the management of Biomedical Scientists (BMS), Associate Practitioners (AP) and Medical Laboratory Assistants (MLA) within the section involving the training and supervision of unqualified staff, whilst taking charge of the day-to-day operations of the section within the laboratory.Flexible hours including weekends and bank holidays will be required within the contracted 37.5 hours per week in accordance with Agenda for Change (AfC) Terms and Conditions handbook. The post holder must participate in the departments AfC shift systems.The post holder must be conversant with the technologies and methodologies specific to the core and specialist sections and will be required to rotate through the various sections of the laboratory and work at different Barts Health networked laboratories.The post holder must be able to demonstrate proficiency and competence in the designated work area to an agreed expertise level and will ensure regular CPD participation is being met to fulfil competence to practice for their own professional registration.
