Job summary
To provide support to the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT).
To provide clinical work as required by the service, under the direct guidance, close clinical and professional supervision of a practitioner psychologist.
To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of data, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching of colleagues, resource development, project work and supporting young people and their families.
To work following clinical guidelines and the policies and procedures of the service, while closely supervised and regularly seeking help from clinical/professional supervisor or manager.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support intervention and recovery-focused care, contributing to a psychologically informed approach across the service. They will assist psychologists in developing clinical resources, therapeutic materials and training packages that support high-quality care and service delivery. The post holder will contribute to the design and implementation of audit, service evaluation and research projects that inform service development and evidence-based practice within the Trust. The Assistant Psychologist will undertake literature reviews and evidence-based research searches to support clinical practice and service improvement. They will assist in gathering feedback from service users and carers through surveys and other evaluation methods and contribute to the dissemination of findings through presentations, reports and published articles where appropriate. Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will promote psychologically informed practice. They will support the induction and development of new skills. The Assistant Psychologist will receive regular clinical and professional supervision, participate in mandatory and specialist training, and take responsibility for developing the skills and competencies required for the role.

The Assistant Psychologist will provide support to Clinical Psychologists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team in delivering high-quality psychological services to children, young people and their families within the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of psychological assessments under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.
- Support the delivery of psychological interventions and therapeutic programmes for children, young people and families.

This role is based on one of our male acute wards. The service is designed to offer direct support to adult acute mental health patients.It's a great time to join Derbyshire Healthcare and be part of a dynamic, supportive team making a real difference in mental health care.
The role of an Occupational Therapist on the ward focuses on the assessment therapeutic interventions and deliver care to national recommendations, to support patients to be discharged back into the community.
This is a great opportunity for you to support shaping the service and build on MDT working, alongside the Ward Manager and other senior leaders. You will work with others to develop the OT service on this ward and collaborate with an innovative and forward-thinking ethos. The service as a whole has a large OT group, who will support you with your development and offer clinical supervision (and preceptorship programme, if needed).
The post is 37.5 hours a week between Mon-Sun and shifts are expected to be 7.5 hours, ranging from earlies and lates, covering times between 8am to 8pm.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated youth worker to join the innovative Barts Health NHS Trust High Risk Young Adult Service. This mobile service will comprise a Clinical psychologist, Social workers Youth Workers supporting clinical teams looking after young people living with a long-term health condition.
These exciting new posts have been developed to improve care and outcomes for young people (age 16-25) living with a long-term health condition across North East London. The post holder will support young adults and their families who may be struggling with a range of difficulties related to living with diabetes, as they make the transition from paediatric care to adult services. The work will mainly be with young adults living with diabetes, heart disease and kidney disease.
As these are new posts, the post holders will have scope to develop the service, with the support of more senior colleagues and in collaboration with service users, and to take a leading role in the future of young people services across North East London.
The post will involve cross site working across Barts health and North East London communities: Mile End Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital, the Royal London Hospital, and St Bartholomews Hospital and Homerton.

Main duties of the job
As a Recovery Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients throughout the post-operative period. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor and manage patients following anaesthesia and surgery, ensuring their safe recovery and transfer to the appropriate clinical area.
The successful candidate will have, or be keen to develop, knowledge and skills in caring for:
- Post-operative patients following a range of surgical procedures.
- Patients requiring Level 2 care and enhanced physiological monitoring.
- Patients recovering from general, regional and other forms of anaesthesia.
- Patients requiring airway management, oxygen therapy and close respiratory monitoring.
- Patients with complex post-operative needs and deteriorating clinical conditions.
- Patients requiring effective pain, nausea and fluid management.
You will:
- Undertake comprehensive assessment and ongoing monitoring of post-operative patients.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration.
- Provide safe and effective airway and respiratory care.
- Monitor cardiovascular, neurological and other physiological parameters.
- Support the management of patients requiring Level 2 care.
- Administer medication safely and manage post-operative pain and nausea.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 nurse on Ward 7D, Paediatric Assessment and Short Stay Unit in the Royal London Children's Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.
The contract is for a permanent part-time role at 0.53 WTE = 6 shifts per month of 11.5 hours a shift.
PASSU is fast paced area with a varied patient profile, providing high-quality nursing care for Babies, Children and Young People under different specialities including, General Paediatrics, Paediatric Oncology, Orthopaedics, Acute mental health and General Paediatric Surgery. The ethos of the unit is working in partnership with the children and their families.
The post holder will have every opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge, working closely with all multi-disciplinary team members. Staff are also encouraged and given the opportunity to continue their professional development through attendance on relevant courses in Barts Education Academy, and externally, with City St George's and London Southbank Universities.
Barts Health has a busy and demanding Children's service, requiring staff to be flexible in their working. The post holder will be required to work within a challenging clinical environment and undertake shift work which will include nights and weekends.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our audiological team in Newham
This is an Adult post in audiology services across East London but predominately at our well-equipped and dedicated health centre at Vicarage Lane health centre and at Newham General Hospital.
The department provides a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for both adults and children working in the community and hospital sites.
Audiology is managed by Bart's Health and provides services across five east London boroughs namely Tower Hamlets, City & Hackney, Newham, Waltham Forest and Redbridge.
We have 90 plus members of staff including Clinical Scientists, Audiologists, Assistant Audiologists, Audiology apprentices and admin staff.
The successful candidate will be confident, a good communicator, and able to work well within a large team they should be able to undertake audiological diagnostic and rehabilitation services for patients.
You will have a Bsc/Msc in Audiology or equivalent.
You must be registered with either RCCP or HCPC (as a Clinical Scientist).

Main duties of the job
To provide independent diagnostic audiological testing of adults to be responsible for the safe use and calibration of equipment and ensuring accurate records are maintained. To provide a comprehensive independent hearing aid service to adults including determining care plans for individual patients and involving carers and families as appropriate in the acute, community and during domiciliary visits. To take an active role in areas of clinical audit, research and clinical governance for the Audiology service, which may include designing and completing audits within own field, participating in data collection for larger projects, and contributing to the development of evidence-based protocols. To plan and prioritise elements of own workload, within the framework of service delivery priorities as defined by the line manager and supervise the work of trainees/students and volunteers as required. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Band 7 Occupational Therapist in Major Trauma across Orthopaedics, Plastics and Trauma. This is a permanent, static full-time role (1.0 WTE).
The ideal candidate will have a passion for occupational therapy in trauma, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a wider MDT.
You will take a lead role in the assessment, treatment and management of highly complex patients including those with trauma orthopaedic / plastics injuries, poly trauma, amputation, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury across the trauma pathway within our MTC.You will provide leadership, management and clinical care across the wider Neuro & Trauma team along with other senior occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
Main duties of the job
o Undertake a team leader role, working alongside the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, Clinical Lead Physiotherapist and fellow Band 7 therapists, in planning, co-ordinating, delivering, and evaluating the Occupational Therapy service provided for patients across the Major Trauma pathway.
o To take a lead role in the assessment, treatment, and management of highly complex patients including those with poly trauma, amputation/s, trauma orthopaedic/plastics injuries, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury across the Major Trauma pathway.
o To communicate effectively with other health care professionals, social services, and outside particularly regarding patient care, progress, and planning of rehabilitation and/or discharge needs.
o To be responsible for the day-to-day clinical and operational management ensuring professional delivery of the occupational therapy service with support for the wider Neuro & Trauma therapy team.
o To deputise for and support the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist and Clinical Lead Physiotherapist when and where required.
o To take a lead role in the development of the Neuro & Trauma therapy team in line with RLH therapies and team objectives.
o To participate in weekend/bank holiday work as part of a rota covering neuro & trauma patients.

The role sits within the inpatient acute stroke team as part of the Tower Hamlets Stroke pathway.
You will be part of a large, friendly, highly successful multidisciplinary team, based at the Royal London Hospital (RLH), aiding assessment and delivering rehabilitation to patients on our busy stroke ward. This role is available full time (37.5hrs/wk).
The team comprises Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists and Rehabilitation Support Workers who work alongside other health professionals which may include Dieticians, Clinical Psychologists, and the Medical and Nursing teams.
You will be responsible for supporting the therapy team to deliver highly specialist individualised treatment programmes to service users. You will carry out a wide range of physical tasks requiring a good level of physical fitness.
You will be responsible for assisting the Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists in providing daily care including the implementation of therapy programs and supporting patients with their daily care needs to help them progress towards their rehabilitation goals.

Main duties of the job
Working within a multi-disciplinary team the post-holder will contribute to the safe and effective running of the imaging department and will be able to perform a wide range of x-ray examinations to a high standard. The post holder will be required to rotate through ED and general x-ray, fluoroscopy, and theatres and they will participate in the delivery of a 24/7, 365 service. The post holder will offer supervision to assistant practitioners, imaging assistants, students/apprentices and visitors to the imaging department. The post holder will ensure patient flow in the trust by actively participating in the the flow of emergency and in-patients to ensure same day imaging. The post holder will be key in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and experience. The successful individual will be based in the Pathology and Pharmacy Building at the Royal London Hospital site.

We have wide range of diagnostic specialities due to an acute teaching hospital environment and diversity of the local population. The Cellular Pathology Division provides diagnostic and screening services for the whole of North East London and has a combined workload of over 75,000 histology and 5,000 non-gynae cytology specimens. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly team of scientists and Doctors in a modern laboratory and have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of histology techniques. Our facilities are close to underground and DLR services. The laboratory has UKAS accreditation and is HCPC accredited.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a band 4 Associate Practitioner who is a competent and versatile individual with experience in Cellular Pathology to provide technical support to the histology service. The duties will be varied and include embedding, microtomy, housekeeping and tissue transfer. This post would suit an individual with a minimum of A-levels in science subjects. They would be responsible for managing more junior MLA staff. The post will require an ability to work with human tissues of all kinds and the candidate should have a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Avocet ward is a 16 bedded male only inpatient ward and this post will require assessment and management of a wide range of psychiatric presentations.

Main duties of the job
The ward takes direct new admissions of a range of presentations. You will be supported in this role by range of junior doctors ( FY2 and GPVTS) and it is expected you will have regular dialogue with the two consultant psychiatrists on other two adult inpatient wards onsite. The Welland centre is a modern stand alone 4 ward psychiatric inpatient unit and is staffed by a MDT including nursing staff, occupational therapists and psychologists. Cross cover will be provided by both inpatient and outpatient consultant colleagues on a rotational basis as is the system currently.

Main duties of the job
- 24 hour - seven days a week service. UCAT will undertake mental health assessments following referrals from recognised sources (as per operational policy) and will respond to the needs of the home treatment caseload
- Act as gatekeeper to acute inpatient care
- Rapid response following referral to UCAT - intensive, flexible interventions provided to service user, family and carers
- Address the social issues surrounding crisis right from the beginning
- Assertive approach to engagement
- Provide practical problem solving help
- To administer and supervise medication
- Time limited intervention that has sufficient flexibility to respond to differing service users needs
