Job summary
Coventry and Warwickshire ICB and Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB Cluster
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join us as an Associate Non-Executive Member for Audit and Governance, working in a joint role across two statutory Boards.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Board-level leadership and governance of two Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), working together to commission healthcare services for the populations of Coventry, Herefordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire with a view to improving health outcomes, reducing inequalities and ensuring the effective stewardship of public resources. The Associate Non-Executive Member will support robust governance and assurance through membership of the two Audit Committees working in common and attendance at Board meetings and development sessions.
We are committed to building Boards that reflect the diverse communities we serve and welcome applications from people with a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a senior leader with significant experience of financial and corporate governance in a large and complex organisation, ideally within an NHS or public sector environment. You will have a strong understanding of audit committee practices, risk management and corporate governance, together with the confidence to provide constructive challenge and independent scrutiny. A finance qualification and previous non-executive experience would be an advantage.
You will bring integrity, sound judgement and a commitment to NHS values, helping to ensure the ICBs deliver on their statutory duties and strategic ambitions while maintaining the highest standards of governance and accountability.
About us
The NHS is a world-renowned institution and an exciting place to work full of challenges and opportunities. As part of the national health and care reforms, Integrated Care Boards are refocusing on the core role of strategic commissioners, enabling greater impact on population health, reducing health inequalities, improving productivity and supporting transformation across systems. As a result NHS Coventry & Warwickshire ICB and NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire ICB are working together as a cluster.
We are dynamic, forward-looking organisations, passionate about working with health and social care partners to ensure services are integrated, and offer a high-quality patient experience. We thrive on building strong relationships with patients, communities, partners and providers. We provide a supportive, collaborative environment, offering staff opportunities to reach their full potential and achieve a work-life balance through a blend of collaborative workplace attendance and home working.
As an Associate Board member we offer:
- Remuneration: £12,000 per annum.
- Time commitment: Approximately three days per month.
- Term of office: Two years.
