Job summary
Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies (THTT) is one of the leading national Talking Therapies services and we are keen to recruit an experienced Counsellor. The successful candidate will join our dynamic Counselling Therapies team and work alongside other therapists who are trained in a number of different modalities including; person-centred, humanistic, integrative, and psychodynamic. Other teams of therapists at THTT are trained in a range of therapies including EMDR, Eating Disorders treatment, CBT and a well-established PWP team.

We have set ourselves the mission to improve the quality of life of all we serve and have embarked on an ambitious Quality Improvement Programme to transform the culture of the Trust to one of continuous improvement, delivered through participation of all staff and with service users, carers, and families at the heart of our efforts to improve.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide individual and group counselling interventions for clients with mild to moderate common mental health problems as appropriate to meet service user needs. They will monitor their performance and outcomes in conjunction with the stream lead.
The post-holder will be BACP/UKCP registered/accredited and is required to be eligible and willing to undertake the NHS Talking Therapies training in Counselling for Depression if requested. The post holder will implement a stepped care approach to clinical practice and will work with clients who present with depression and anxiety for which Counselling is demonstrated to be clinically effective and appropriate.
A percentage of the post-holders' clinical contact hours will be filled with triage assessments. The number of triage assessments required per week will be specified by line managers/clinical lead. Assessments may be face-to-face or via telephone or other communication mediums that areapproved by your line manager/clinical lead
The post-holder will work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and may work in various community settings, including GP surgeries and other community settings.

The Coborn Centre is a renowned child and adolescent mental health (CAMH) unit located in Newham, East London.
We are part of a collaborative of inpatient and community CAHM services across North Central East London (NCEL). We look after young people aged 12- 18 and work closely with families, schools, local authorities and various community teams.
The Coborn Centre opened in 2006 and comprises of 12 acute beds, 16 psychiatric intensive care beds and up to 9 day service places. The service has led the way in the design of adolescent mental health facilities nationally. We were awarded an excellent by the QNIC accreditation process and also accredited as Outstanding by the CQC.

Main duties of the job
We currently have opportunities for enthusiastic and innovative qualified RMN, Learning Disability Nurses/Child Nurses/Eating Disorder Nurses to join our general admissions acute ward.
The post holder should have robust nursing skills and have a keen interest in working with young people and their families to support recovery.
A typical day may include helping a young person return to school, helping a young person through a period of extreme distress, liaising with other agencies to coordinate care or supporting families.

Main duties of the job
We have opportunities to work across the service including Early Years, mainstream schools and complex needs. Your role will involve working across no more than two parts of the service. Sessions will be allocated depending on experience and interest.
Within the Schools Team, the caseload is varied, split between delivering a core service and a buy in service into the schools. There are opportunities within pre-school, primary and secondary settings where we work in close partnership with school staff to provide a 3 tier model of universal, targeted and specialist support for children, young people and their families. Training for school staff and families is a crucial part of the service we deliver.
Within the Early Years service you will be seeing children within clinics and nurseries. We deliver 1-1 dynamic assessments/ intervention and provide parent workshops and groups in our Family hubs and Children's centres.
Within the complex needs service you will be working with children and families in a clinic setting and/or in a specialist resource or special school setting.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, forward thinking practitioner with experience of Neurodevelopmental Conditions & a special interest in ASD to join our Specialist Children & Young People's Service (SCYPS) in Newham. The post holder will contribute to the development of a service for the assessment and review of children with neurodevelopmental conditions (primarily autistic spectrum disorder). They will work in partnership with Community Paediatricians, GP's and universal services to ensure delivery of an effective pathway, inclusive of wider community support. Suffolk Mental Health Support Team (MHST) is based within education settings, ensuring children and young people receive faster access to earlier mental health support.
