We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated member of staff to join the Pharmacy Procurement & Homecare team at Harrogate District Foundation Trust.
This is an excellent opportunity to play an important role in being part of a team working together to deliver an exceptional medicines supply service.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be expected to cover all aspects of the Pharmacy Procurement & Homecare service which includes:
- Ordering and following up of items ordered but not received
- Processing invoices through the Pharmacy system
- Processing Homecare prescriptions and invoices
In return we will support your development and provide you with the skills and knowledge to meet the requirements of the job role.
Experience in working in Procurement and/or Homecare is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
In order to provide a high quality service to our patients and colleagues, the successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, good computer skills, attention to detail, ability to work efficiently and be proactive in their work.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a Custodial Flow Coordinator to provide quality healthcare to those incarcerated in prisons.
Your primary job role will be toprovide safe and effective care pathways for all offenders identified for transfer to external NHS or independent in-patient services.
You will be working alongside the prison clinical team, and will act as the link between external providers and the prison teams to ensure a co-ordinated approach to transfer planning, which results in effective and timely transfers in accordance with national time scales (e.g. 14 days for mental health transfers).

The ward includes three Hyper Acute Stroke beds, supporting the rapid assessment and delivery of specialist stroke treatments and blood pressure management, ensuring patients receive timely and effective care at a critical stage of their recovery.

Working closely with nurses, therapists, speech and language therapists, discharge coordinators, ward clerks, catering teams and hotel services staff, you will contribute to ensuring the best possible outcomes and experience for our patients and their families.

Main duties of the job
- Undertake direct patient care, in support of, and under the delegation of the Registered Nurse, and document care given as required.
- Following training you will undertake various clinical tasks including cannulation and venepuncture, wound care, ECG recording, blood sugar checks and vital signs. You will be aware of when these need escalating to your nurse.
- You will support patients to maintain hygiene including mouth care, change positions to prevent skin damage, and with mobility.
- Checking of controlled drugs with Registered Nurse as required.
- Complete nutritional assessment records and weigh patients as required both on admission to complete MUST scores and weekly to ensure monitoring of body mass.
- Use equipment competently and follow Trust policy with equipment following training.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Macmillan Upper GI Nursing Team and working alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team, offering specialist nursing input for patients diagnosed with a UGI cancer.
Our service within Harrogate provides clinical nursing expertise, advice and support to patients, families and carers throughout their pathway, minimising the impacts of diagnosis and treatment and managing ongoing follow-up and consequences of treatment so that patients can have a good quality of life living with and beyond cancer.
