Job summary

The successful candidate will work as part of the wider One Northern Devon Partnerships team, leading and supporting a range of projects and activities to ensure agreed objectives and outcomes are achieved.
Hours: 18-25 hours spread over the week to meet the needs of the role, to be agreed with the successful applicant
Salary: £16.00-£19.20 per hour depending on experience and qualifications

Main duties of the job
The Health Inequalities Project Lead will lead and contribute to the effective delivery of health inequalities projects across North Devon, acting as an enabler and champion of change.
- The role will involve developing and delivering project plans, analysing and presenting data, coordinating meetings, workshops and events, engaging with stakeholders and voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, writing project reports and supporting grant funding applications.
- The post holder will work in line with the One Northern Devon reducing health inequalities strategy, with a particular focus on workstreams including Closing the Gap, Fuel Poverty, Humanising Services and the equity-focused model of Neighbourhood Health.
- The role will require an understanding of the wider factors contributing to health inequalities and the ability to use project management, data and partnership working to support improvements in health outcomes across North Devon.

Barnstaple Alliance Primary Care Network (PCN) is a proactive and supportive network of four General Practitioner surgeries: Brannam, Fremington, Litchdon and Queens Medical Centres. Together, we provide care to over 52,000 patients across the Barnstaple area. Whilst retaining our individual practice identities, we work collaboratively to improve and develop healthcare services for our local population.
This role is hosted by Barnstaple Alliance PCN on behalf of One Northern Devon and will work as part of the wider Partnerships team. One Northern Devon brings together organisations and partners across North Devon to tackle health inequalities and improve outcomes for local communities. Job summary
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can engage with patients in a professional, compassionate and empathetic manner. The ideal candidate will be resilient, adaptable, and able to manage competing demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. A positive, team-focused attitude and a genuine commitment to patient care are key to succeeding in this role.
Whilst previous administrative or reception experience is desirable, we are also keen to hear from applicants with limited or no direct experience, as this minimum 12-month maternity cover position provides an excellent opportunity to develop administrative, communication and patient-facing skills within a busy GP practice.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a confident, proactive, and highly organised Administrator to join our busy GP practice team. This is a fast-paced and dynamic front-line role, where no two days are the same, and the ability to stay calm under pressure is essential. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will pay a vital role in creating a welcoming, respectful and efficient environment.
The working pattern for this fixed term 12-month maternity cover (full time) is as follows:-
Monday 8.15am - 5.15pm (with 1 hour lunch break)
Tuesday 8.15am - 5.15pm (with 1 hour lunch break)
Wednesday 8.15am - 12.15pm
Thursday 8.15am - 6.30pm (with 1 1/4 hours lunch break)
Friday 8.15am - 5.15pm (with 1 hour lunch break)
Starting pay of £12.71 per hour. On successful completion of probationary period this will increase to £12.81 per hour.
Closing date Friday 16th October. Successful applicants will be contacted by the end of the working day on 19th October at the latest.
Interviews are planned for Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd October. The interview process will include group interviews on the Wednesday and formal interviews on the Thursday for those short listed following the group stage.
