Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced, challenging and busy specialty to improve understanding and experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. These appointments are initially for 12 months and will be based mainly at Northwick Park Hospital. It requires motivated doctors with some Oral & Maxillofacial surgery experience to work with other trainee doctors and consultants to care for the emergency and elective patients within OMFS and Head & Neck. LNWH is seeking a highly motivated B6 rotational Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the delivery of high-quality respiratory physiotherapy services, contributing to the health and well-being of our patients. As a B6 Respiratory Physiotherapist, you will work in a challenging yet rewarding clinical environment with opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Main duties of the job

This post will give you experience in a number of acute clinical areas, where you can further develop your knowledge in acute respiratory care. Northwick Park Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education Centres support postgraduate training courses for doctors, dentists, medical and other clinical trainees. The Band 5 Staff Nurse within the Infectious Diseases Unit is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate, patient-centred care to patients with infectious and complex medical conditions. We are recruiting for a Band 6 Senior Staff nurse with experience following completion of their critical care course to join the Critical Care Team based at Northwick Park Hospital, London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.

The Critical Care Unit consists of a 24 bedded Intensive Care / HDU Unit. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified candidate or individual with the relevant Critical Care Nursing Course to join the expanding and developing team within Critical Care. We have an additional 12 bedded ICU/HDU at Ealing Hospital and 8 bedded Enhanced Care Unit within LNWUH and at times you will be required to support one of the other units that is not your base site.

As a Critical Care Unit we specialise in providing a high standard of medical and post-operative care for patients undergoing a variety of procedures and interventions. Emergency admissions are via our busy Accident and Emergency, one of the busiest units in the country. The majority of our admissions have multiple and diverse care requirements that necessitate advanced organ support such as respiratory, renal and cardiovascular interventions and treatments.

Job summary

The Lead Medical Examiner will provide senior clinical leadership and professional oversight of the Medical Examiner service delivered by London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The service includes the scrutiny of deaths occurring within LNWH hospitals, deaths referred from primary care and community settings, and deaths scrutinised on behalf of partner organisations under agreed service arrangements.

Job summary

• A newly qualified midwife who is able to work autonomously in the provision of care during the normal child birthing process
• A newly qualified midwife prepared to undertake the preceptorship course which is designed to support and develop key additional competencies for newly qualified midwives
• Interacts with medical staff and other members of the multi-disciplinary team when deviations from the norm occur to promote a healthy outcome for mother and infant
• To be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of evaluation of midwifery care needs of the individual in hospital and community settings

Main duties of the job

• To provide holistic women-centered/birthing people care, individualised to the needs of the mother/birthing person and her family
• Examining women/birthing people, monitoring of observations and reporting of abnormal findings to medical staff or midwife in charge
• Provide care in labour, perform normal vaginal births, asses mother/birthing person and baby post delivery
• Identify and report any changes from the 'norm' or emergency situations to senior midwife or medical practitioner
• To assist the medical staff with medical procedures when required
• Participate in instrumental deliveries and assisting at operative deliveries
• Assist experienced practitioners in neonatal resuscitation following delivery
• Caring for clients with medical complications who require increased dependency on health professionals during the antenatal, labour or postnatal period
• To provide midwifery expertise and advice, working as an autonomous practitioner accountable to the senior midwife
