Radiation Physics are looking for aPrincipal Clinical Scientist with experience in diagnostic radiology and non-ionising radiation to join our large team. If you are a HCPC registered Clinical Scientist who is working towards your MPE, LPA or RPA and expect to achieve this within the next 12-months then we would love to hear from you. We can support you to achieve your full potential (and offer personal study time too!). Please note: Appointment would be at Band 7 until you achieve this.
TheDiagnostic Radiology and Radiation Safety Sections ensure the safety of all patients, visitors and staff who come into contact with sealed or unsealed sources of ionising radiation (e.g. x-rays, beta rays etc) and non-ionising radiation (e.g. ultrasound, lasers etc.)
Informal visits are welcomed and encouraged.
Main duties of the job
In this varied and rewarding position, you will:

Provide high-quality scientific support to the Trust and external partners.
-
Provide specialist MPE and LPAadvice to the Trust and external partners.
-
Act as asite lead for one or more of our hospital sites.
-
Contribute to thequality assurance programme for a wide range of diagnostic radiology equipment, including CT, mammography (including two NHSBSP services) general X-ray, angiography and fluoroscopy.
-
Development and maintenance of local rules, risk assessments and radiation safety documentation for X-rays and Lasers.
-
Provide high qualityteaching and trainingto staff from across the UK, including STP trainees and those aspiring Healthcare Scientists undertaking alternative training pathways.
- You'll also provide specialist guidance on legislation, national standards and compliance, helping departments maintain safe and effective practice.

Job summary
The Project Manager is a senior role within the Estates and Facilities Directorate, responsible for delivering capital and major revenue projects across Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the post holder will manage projects through all stages, from feasibility and design to procurement, construction and handover.
The role involves leading healthcare construction, refurbishment and compliance projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards while meeting NHS guidance and statutory requirements. The post holder will provide specialist advice on healthcare estates, building construction, engineering services, Health Building Notes (HBNs) and Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs).
Responsibilities include project planning, procurement, contract administration, risk management, budget control and performance reporting. The Project Manager will maintain key project documentation, including Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), risk registers, project programmes and progress reports.
Working closely with clinical teams, senior managers, consultants, contractors and regulatory bodies, the post holder will ensure projects support service delivery, patient safety and statutory compliance. The role also contributes to sustainability and estate improvement initiatives and requires strong leadership, technical expertise and the ability to manage multiple projects in a complex healthcare environment.
Main duties of the job
o Lead and deliver capital and major revenue projects from feasibility to completion.
o Develop project briefs, business cases, cost plans and project programmes.
o Manage project design, procurement, construction and handover.
o Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.

Exciting opportunities have arisen in the Emergency Department at Tunbridge Wells Hospital for a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to work within the GP Out of Hours team.

You will join an established team of nurses who have a wealth of experience in emergency care.
We work as a team to deliver high quality emergency care to patients presenting with a broad spectrum of conditions within our department which comprises of a 5 bedded resuscitation room, 12 majors cubicles, a rapid assessment area, designated paediatric area, CDU and minor injuries. We are supported by GP streaming and SDEC.
Main duties of the job
Our ED offers an educationally focused environment. We are committed to developing and supporting our staff with their career pathway and have strong links with both Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church Universities. You will also have the support of a Practice Development Nurse who will support your development alongside your team leader and the senior nursing team which comprises of matrons and a lead matron. You will get to work in all areas of the department to enable you to further developyour clinical and leadership skills.
To work with us you will need to demonstrate a kind and compassionate attitude. You will bedynamic, motivated and hardworking, have excellent communication skills and are passionate about emergency care.
You should have excellent leadership skills and have knowledge of current issues in emergency care.

Job summary
The Radiology Directorate at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust requires a Consultant Radiologists with an interest in Breast Imaging.
The post will be considered a cross site position but will likely be based at Maidstone District General Hospital with occasional cover required at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. The successful candidate must demonstrate skill in reporting not only general radiology but also Breast imaging. It is expected the candidate would take part in the Breast Cancer MDT.
We are a progressive, busy department running across two sites with a team of 32 Consultant Radiologists. The posts would carry an on-call commitment.
We are a teaching unit with SpRs from the Kent Training scheme and medical students from the Kent and Medway Medical School. There is also opportunity to be involved in research and trials ongoing in the Oncology centre. We are able to offer home reporting facilities to encourage flexible, family friendly working.
Main duties of the job
The posts will have duties for consultant provision of diagnostic imaging services for both the Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone Hospitals, and will join a team of 32 Consultant Radiologists. The successful candidates must demonstrate skills in general and oncological radiology but also reporting general cross-sectional imaging and should have a particular interest in breast imaging.

The post holder will join our team of medical and clinical oncologists to take a major interest in Urology, providing Oncology services from a West Kent base.
As a member of the Kent Oncology Centre, there will be a commitment to participate fully in a Kent-wide approach to the delivery of cancer care. This includes attendance at governance meetings, multi-disciplinary team meetings and the practice of cross-referral with other site specialists.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard of care to any patient for whom you have clinical responsibility. An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Breast Screening team in delivering high quality services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Kent Breast Screening Service. This administrative post is based at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital and provides support to the Breast Screening Programme Management team.
As part of the role the post holder will be expected to travel between the three Kent units (Maidstone, Medway and Canterbury). The ideal candidate will be diligent, motivated and attentive with experience of managing their own workload. The post holder will also be required to work as part of a close team, have good computer and communication skills and work well under pressure.

Main duties of the job
The successful postholder will be expected to provide and receive routine information which may be complex or sensitive. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon to join the expanding Trauma and Orthopaedic Service at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post is for shoulder and elbow surgery. There will be an expectation to perform elective and trauma surgery, and provide specialist expertise in hip and knee trauma. Fracture and elective clinics are held in Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and peripheral hospitals. Day surgery lists and inpatient elective lists occur in Maidstone, and trauma lists at Tunbridge Wells.
There is an expectation that the successful candidate will join the existing on call rota.
