Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident, motivated, and conscientious individual to join Moorfield's Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a Quality Compliance Officer within the Ophthalmology and Clinical Support Services (O&CSS) Division.
This pivotal role supports departments to maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation. Reporting to the Quality Manager for O&CSS, the post holder will play a key role in ensuring the division meets wider governance and patient safety objectives.
Moorfield's Eye Hospital is working in partnership with University College London (UCL) to deliver a new world-leading Centre for Eye Health in St Pancras, due to open in summer 2027. As part of the move, O&CSS departments are undertaking significant change, including the review, transfer and re-establishment of licences, permits, certifications and accreditations to ensure ongoing compliance and service continuity.

The Quality Compliance Officer will play a critical role in this transition. Job summary
The NIHR Moorfields Clinical Research Facility ('CRF') and Research and Development department requires a Junior Research Administrator to join the Research Administration Team.
The post holder will support both the Research and Development (R&D) department including the Clinical Research Faculty (CRF) providing administrative support to the development and implementation of clinical trials and other research studies within Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Taking a lead role in ensuring high quality administrative service is provided to the CRF and R&D management Team at all times. Job summary
The NIHR Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London has recently been awarded funding from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) to optimise the delivery of world class research in ophthalmology and science associated with vision and sight. The Facility forms part of the Moorfields NIHR Biomedical Research Centre for Ophthalmology, a joint initiative between Moorfields Eye Hospital and University College London Institute of Ophthalmology and is one of three London based Academic Health Science centres which together form the University College London Partners. The CRF is dedicated to the delivery of high quality clinical research, including experimental medicine and translational research studies, pioneering new therapies for the treatment of a range of ophthalmic disorders. It offers a clinical environment in which patients and researchers are supported by a team of specialist research support staff including ophthalmic research nurses, administrators and technicians.

Main duties of the job
- Ensure effective data and data quality management, and reporting for studies undertaken within the Clinical Research Facility.
- The post holder will work as part of a team of data management/study coordination staff providing comprehensive data management and trial coordination support to the department.
- Responsibilities will include ensuring that clinical data required for CRF adopted trials are completed, validated and returned to study sponsors in an accurate and timely fashion, promoting high quality research, both within the Trust, nationally and Internationally.

Job summary
We are recruiting for Appointment Coordinators within the SPARC Administration team.
Our main focus is the treatment and care of NHS patients with a wide range of eye problems, from common complaints to rare conditions that require treatment not available elsewhere in the UK. The volume and variety of conditions treated by our clinicians means that they have a unique range of skills and knowledge.

Main duties of the job
To ensure that all new referrals are processed on eRS within 24 hours of receipt and that the referral letter is forwarded to the relevant Trust depending on triage outcome.

To be responsible for processing patient choice requests, including sending out Patient Choice Forms and actioning the results, ensuring appointments are scheduled in line with patient preferences and according to policy guidelines.
To be responsible and accountable for all booking processes for a designated region of London, undertaking booking/deferring of appointments in accordance with procedures.
To monitor any inboxes/worklist to ensure that all patients are processed and booked appropriately, booked according to the Access Policy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and skilled Resuscitation Officer to join our small and friendly team. This Band 6 role requires a practitioner who can work with a high degree of autonomy, delivering specialist resuscitation training and contributing to service development, audit, and quality improvement.
Moorfields Eye Hospital is preparing for a major transition, with a planned move to a new state-of-the-art facility in the King's Cross area in 2027. As a result, there is significant transformation and project work underway across the organisation.

Moorfields Eye Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) are pleased to offer a joint Vitreoretinal (VR) Fellowship for an experienced VR fellow who wishes to develop subspecialist expertise in paediatric vitreoretinal surgery and complex paediatric retinal disease, set within the context of a broad-based adult VR fellowship at one of the world's leading eye hospitals.
The post will be starting in May 2027.
The successful applicant is required to be registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice. Possession of FRCOphth/MRCOphth or equivalent ophthalmic qualification is necessary. Applicants should be at Specialist Trainee grade or equivalent and be near to/ completed their higher specialist training in Ophthalmology. You need to evidence significant experience in VR surgery by the time of commencement of the role as you will be required to work independently as well as under supervision and be able to run theatre lists for the service.
Main duties of the job
MAIN RESPONSIBILTITES
o Participation in a 1 in 9 on call rota covering all aspects of Vitreo-Retinal emergency work.
o Undertaking clinic and elective surgery which may include outreach clinics or theatre as part of set timetable.

Job summary
Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the post of Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist with an interest in Vitreo-retinal surgery.
The post is based at Moorfields Eye Hospital, City Road and Moorfields at St George's Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to cover surgical operating lists as the lead surgeon.
You will be responsible for the care and management of patients seen in your allocated VR/ VRE clinics and operating sessions. You will be required to participate in the VRE on call rota alongside the other consultants.
The successful applicant will have completed FRCOphth / MRCOphth and must be registered with the GMC. Applicants need to evidence demonstrable training and experience in all aspects of Vitreo-retinal work.
The post will be for 12 months from October 2026.
Main duties of the job
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the care of Vitreo-retinal patients across admitted and non admitted pathways.
- Participation in on call rota covering all aspects of Vitreo-retinal emergency work when needed.Managem
- ent of elective theatre lists and outpatient clinics including face-to-face, telephone and virtual reviews.
- Supervision of junior medical staff in the VR/VRE clinics and theatre lists.
- Active participation in both formal and informal clinic teaching.

Job summary
We are recruiting for an Appointment Coordinator within the SPARC Administration team.
Our main focus is the treatment and care of NHS patients with a wide range of eye problems, from common complaints to rare conditions that require treatment not available elsewhere in the UK. The volume and variety of conditions treated by our clinicians means that they have a unique range of skills and knowledge.
To work in the contact centre to provide booking service to patients making outpatient appointment, registering referrals, agreeing appointments with patients and ensuring information is recorded accurately on the relevant systems.

Main duties of the job
To ensure that all new referrals are processed on eRS within 24 hours of receipt and that the referral letter is forwarded to the relevant Trust depending on triage outcome.
To manage and process requests for advice from community optometrists, ensuring queries are addressed promptly and referred to the appropriate clinical team for further action as needed.
To be responsible for processing patient choice requests, including sending out Patient Choice Forms and actioning the results, ensuring appointments are scheduled in line with patient preferences and according to policy guidelines.
To be responsible and accountable for all booking processes for a designated region of London, undertaking booking/deferring of appointments in accordance with procedures.
To monitor any inboxes/worklist to ensure that all patients are processed and booked appropriately, booked according to the Access Policy.
Liaise with clinical staff regarding the booking of appointments of patients who need to be processed urgently
