Shift rotation including weekends, early shifts, late shifts, nights and bank holidays

Main duties of the job
As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating patient-centred care. You will work closely with colleagues across nursing, medical and allied health teams to provide outstanding symptom management, pain control and emotional support for patients and those important to them.
While primarily based within the Inpatient Unit, you may occasionally support other hospice services, including community settings, helping you broaden your experience and understanding of hospice care
About You
You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, who is able to demonstrate a commitment to their own CPD.
You will have excellent clinical skills and experience and be able to work under supervision and on your own initiative to provide the highest standards of care and support to your patients and their families.
You will have good communication skills, with sound experience of symptom management gained with a Hospice/Hospital or Nursing Home environment.
You will be willing to learn new skills and expression to develop your own practices.

About the role:
Our Healthcare Assistants support the registered nursing team in providing the care and support to our patients on the Inpatient Unit at our Hospice. Working as part of the designated care team, they support the registered nurses in promoting and providing patient centred care, ensuring at all times the comfort, dignity and privacy of the patients in our care.
About you:
You will be qualified to Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate and have previous care experience. The role will be part of a dedicated team of professionals, who will also be able to work under their own initiative to ensure the highest standard of care. A can-do attitude with strong communication skills will be required.
You will be required to deliver a high standard of direct patient care, assisting the patient in all activities of daily living, with both direct and indirect supervision as delegated by the qualified nurse.
