Job summary
At St Peters Hospital we pride ourselves on our approach to people with the most complex needs. The service offers a structured assessment process for people with complex neurological conditions, often complicated by behaviours that challenge, to support long term care and treatment planning. The service focuses on interdisciplinary formulation of needs and the development of interventions aimed at improving quality of life and using least restrictive approaches with people who may have struggled in community or secondary care placements.
To do this, we need the skills of a diverse MDT. Our therapies teams are at the centre of this approach, working alongside colleagues from nursing, psychiatry and clinical neuropsychology to deliver the best standard of care. Alongside the traditional MDT, we have dedicated activities coordinator role, who supports the planning and integration of the hospitals programme of therapeutic support.
Main duties of the job
St Peters Hospital is a 51-bedded hospital based in Newport, providing services commissioned by NHS Wales and England. It caters for people with organic conditions, including the dementias, Huntingtons disease, alcohol-related brain damage, and acquired brain injury. The people we support and treat often present with behavioural and psychological symptoms, including behaviours that challenge and may have had a history of involvement with the criminal justice system and / or forensic mental health system.

Main duties of the job
As a Facilities Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving standards across cleaning, ward catering, portering, security, receipt & distribution, and grounds services. You will:
- Lead and motivate facilities teams to deliver high-quality services.
- Plan and adjust work schedules to meet service demands.
- Carry out regular ward/department visits and liaise with clinical teams.
- Monitor service quality, complete audits and take corrective action where needed.
- Support staff through training, performance reviews and daily supervision.
- Ensure compliance with Health Board policies, infection control standards, COSHH, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation.
- Respond to day-to-day issues, reporting/escalating defects and service failures.
- Assist with stock control, kitchen temperature monitoring, waste control, linen distribution and bed space cleaning coordination.

The successful candidate will be expected to integrate into the working of the respiratory department but also to develop their own interests. We are looking to attract an enthusiastic candidate with a wide experience of respiratory and general medicine.
The job plan is illustrative of current working and the respiratory department would be happy to work with the successful candidate to finalise a job plan that meets the needs of the Trust and satisfies the interests and skillset of the candidate.
We are particularly keen to employ a candidate with skills in bronchoscopy/endobronchial ultrasound or pleural procedures to enhance our existing rota.
Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role.
Main duties of the job
- Support the Respiratory Medicine service in clinics, wards and for in-patient and out-patient procedures.
- To have excellent team-working skills with the abilities and professional attitude to work well in a multi-professional team.
- To deliver clinical and quality targets agreed both nationally and locally with clinical teams, operational managers and commissioners.

We are recruiting for an Eating Disorder Clinical Lead to join our specialist Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Eating Disorder Team on the Isle of Wight. We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and compassionate clinician to provide clinical leadership for our specialist Eating Disorder Service, supporting children and young people with eating disorders and their families across the Isle of Wight.

The Eating Disorder Clinical Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate services for children and young people experiencing eating disorders. The post holder will support the Children & Young People Services Cluster Lead and Clinical Lead to ensure the Eating Disorder Service delivers against quality, financial, operational, and access targets, including the national CYP Eating Disorder waiting time standards. They will be responsible for monitoring service performance, managing clinical risk, and ensuring compliance with local and national guidance, including NICE recommendations and relevant national eating disorder service standards.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will provide specialist clinical leadership within the Eating Disorder Team, working alongside children, young people and their families to deliver evidence-based assessment, treatment, and care planning. They will promote recovery, independence, and positive outcomes while ensuring services remain safe, effective, and person-centred.
The Clinical Lead will oversee the safe and effective delivery of the eating disorder pathway, ensuring compliance with local and national best practice standards, including NICE guidance and NHS England CYP Eating Disorder service requirements. They will provide clinical oversight of complex cases, support risk management processes, and contribute to multidisciplinary decision-making regarding treatment and care planning.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting workforce development within the team, including recruitment, retention, induction, supervision, appraisal, and professional development of staff. They will develop, coordinate, and implement robust systems for clinical supervision, caseload management, clinical governance, and quality improvement activities to ensure the ongoing delivery of high-quality care. The role will involve close partnership working with CAMHS colleagues, paediatric services, primary care, acute hospitals, social care, education, and specialist provider collaborative services to ensure integrated care and smooth transitions between services.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to work within our Inreach/Outreach team and to join our multidisciplinary Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CCAMHS) on the Isle of Wight.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our CAMHS Team, you will be joining a strong and supportive group of professionals who will be your peers inspiring colleagues. The post holder will support the Inreach Outreach service to ensure the delivery of crisis pathway for young people and their families using the service. You will be expected to manage a caseload of young people who are in psychiatric crisis, and you will have co-ordination responsibility for the young people. The role involves MDT working and bespoke packages of care that are evidence informed and following NICE guidelines standards. The post holder will carry out comprehensive assessments and interventions supported by the team within Tier 3 CCAMHS and hold their own caseload.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible in collaboration with the team for crisis assessments and interventions of children and young people referred to our service: the ability to make balanced decisions and use a positive approach whilst managing potentially high risk situations is an essential part of the role. The post involves interagency liaisons with all the local authority and third sector services. Child and Family Social Services, Education department and other agencies, as required. The post will primarily be based at the CCAMHS clinic and you may also be required to work with young people and their families within their own home or Paediatric ward at the local hospital St Mary's.

Our service has an exciting opportunity to join the Mental Health Support Team on the Isle of Wight as a Recruit to Train Trainee, training on the PGDip Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (High Intensity) Course, part of the NHS England (NHSE) funded Recruit to Train Programme in partnership with University of Reading. This is a 12 month fixed term post starting in February 2027.
The post-holder will carry out clinical work in our service to complement their studies and use their newly developed skills. We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic mental health practitioners to work and train within our service. The training post will equip the post-holder to provide interventions for children, young people or families using evidence-based intervention consistent with the course they are attending.
The Mental Health Support Team is a 3-way collaboration and works in partnership with the IW Youth Trust and Barnardo's. In this role you will be line managed by the NHS but will work as 1 team with colleagues from Barnardo's and IW Youth Trust. We are a school based early intervention and prevention service, working with mild to moderate emotional and mental health difficulties providing CBT to children and young people aged 0-18 and their families who are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing difficulties.
Main duties of the job
The course you will be completing at the University of Reading as part of this role is a Level 2 accredited course with BABCP. Upon completion trainees will meet criteria to apply for provisional accreditation as a CBT therapist with BABCP

Main duties of the job
This post is to sit within the ABUHB Children Centres as part of the administrative team. The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and the post holder will carry out any other duties compatible with the grade which may be assigned from time to time by the Children Centre Team Lead.

The Isle of Wight Talking Therapies Service are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, to work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This a permanent, full-time position.
The post holder will have a recognised PWP qualification. They will conduct initial mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based low intensity interventions to clients on the Isle of Wight. This may include cognitive re-structuring, graded exposure, behavioural experiments, guided self-help, computerised CBT, and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be via; video, telephone or face to face in a community clinic if hybrid working. They will work with people with different cultural backgrounds, disabilities and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a Talking Therapies model of delivery.
Main duties of the job
Upon completion of the initial assessment the post holder will identify the mental health cluster that the client will be assigned to in accordance with the mental health clustering tool.
The post holder will deliver evidence-based interventions via differing modalities, such as; a group setting, face to face, video chat and telephone.
Operate at all times from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises and respects diversity.
Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, where the client has given permission.
Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.
Manage and convey information which may be of a sensitive and/or distressing nature.
Analyse and interpret patient outcome measures such as PHQ9 and GAD7 and to then administer the appropriate evidence-based intervention, monitored through caseload management.
Assess clinical risk and refer to specialist mental health services as indicated autonomously if assessed as urgent, or in collaboration with the caseload manager if the risk is assessed as low but the client's needs are beyond that of brief psychological interventions.
Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or step-up the person's treatment to high intensity psychological therapy.

Job summary
Are you interested in becoming part of an innovative crisis Dementia Service, which focuses on all areas of mental health, irrespective of functional, organic or complex illness on the Isle of Wight?
We are aligning our focused OPMH pathways with all age Community Mental Health Services and are looking for passionate, highly motivated individuals to work as part of the Older Persons Mental Health Service. The post holder will be an experienced registered health or social care practitioner qualified to at least Level 6 Degree Level in relevant speciality area. They will act as a role model to develop the knowledge to deliver advanced practice skills within their area, promoting patient centred clinical effectiveness in care, developing the skills to work autonomously in delivering independent assessment of undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.
You will need be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or HCPC and have experience of working with people with serious and enduring mental health needs. The ability to work in partnership with carers/family members and services in the community is essential.
Main duties of the job
To develop the freedom to act and make critical judgements to satisfy the expectations and demands of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner role, characterised by highly complex decision making and a high degree of autonomy underpinned by a Master's level award or equivalent, in order to deliver care in an autonomous context.
The post holder will be an experienced registered health or social care practitioner qualified to at least Level 6 Degree Level in relevant speciality area. Individual training needs will be met by undertaking an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and a Clinical portfolio, relevant to the speciality area, in order to achieve the level of competence and capability required for the post. They will be expected to gain accreditation with NHS England's The Centre for Advancing Practice and an 'Advanced' digital staff badge before transitioning to an Advanced Practice role.

This will include developing the skills to perform clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision making and planning of care and treatment, diagnosis, prescribing, health promotion and safe discharge of patients as required for the role.

Job summary
This role is for Clinical Psychologist / Neuropsychologist working across the Stroke Early Supported Discharge Service (SESD) and Chronic Pain Psychology Service within integrated physical healthcare pathways.
The postholder will support and enhance the work of multidisciplinary teams by providing specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessment, formulation and intervention to adults within stroke rehabilitation and persistent pain pathways.
The role will contribute to psychologically informed rehabilitation and long-term condition management through direct clinical work, multidisciplinary consultation, teaching, supervision, reflective practice, audit and service development.
The postholder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and within the framework of Trust policies and procedures.

This structure is intended to support integrated psychologically informed care across physical health pathways and provide opportunities for cross-service collaboration, rehabilitation psychology development and continuity of care across long-term health conditions.
