We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Deputy Ward Manager to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team in our state of the art newly redeveloped Inpatient Unit providing assessment, symptom management and end of life care to our patients living with a life limiting condition. Length of stay can range from a few days to a few weeks.
Are you a senior nurse ready for your next career step or an experienced manager? We are looking a motivated individual with palliative care experience to join our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team. You will work as part of that team to provide leadership, holistic person-centered care, integrating nursing care with psychosocial, physical, rehabilitative and spiritual needs.
You need to be able to demonstrate evidence-based practice, up to date clinical skills, flexibility and a commitment to the delivery of high quality, effective and efficient nursing care

Main duties of the job
- Support the Ward Manager and Director of Clinical Services provide clinical nurse management, leadership, and expertise in all aspects of service delivery within sphere of responsibility.

- Monitor nursing practice, encouraging development of colleagues through discussion of current and proposed care plans.

- Maintain effective communication with patients and families throughout their contact with the hospice; providing when necessary: -
- Telephone support and advice, ensuring this is both structured, recorded and provides evidenced based advice

Job summary
We are an ambitious organisation providing specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire, and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch. It costs £5.6m per year to run the Hospice, with only 20% of our funding provided by the government. Main duties of the job
To provide pre-bereavement and post bereavement support to children and young people under the age of 18 who are resident in the Hospice catchment area.

To provide pre and post bereavement support to adults who are the significant others of patients known to Nightingale House Hospice.
To act as a resource for Hospice staff and those accessing Hospice services by offering specialist social work knowledge and skills.

Job summary
Nightingale House Hospice provides specialist palliative care, free of charge, for patients and families across Wrexham, Flintshire, East Denbighshire, Barmouth and the border towns, including Oswestry and Whitchurch. With only 20% of our £5.6m annual running costs funded by government, our staff and more than 400 volunteers play a vital role in serving the local community.
We are looking for an experienced Spiritual Care Coordinator to join our Family Support Team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will provide compassionate, inclusive spiritual care for patients, those close to them, staff and volunteers, while helping to embed spiritual support as an integral part of holistic palliative care.
Main duties of the job
Provide excellent spiritual care across the organisation for patients, those close to them, staff and volunteers in a variety of settings across the Nightingale House Hospice catchment area.
Work alongside the clinical multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based holistic palliative care.
Help devise and implement strategies that develop Nightingale Houses spiritual support services within palliative care provision and contribute to the growth of the wider team.
Supervise and support Spiritual Care Volunteers to ensure a consistent standard of care across all hospice services.
Ensure spiritual care is offered as an integral, culturally sensitive part of holistic care, reflecting each patients beliefs, values or philosophy of life, as well as the needs of those close to them.
