Job summary

The post-holder will work as part of a dedicated highly-specialist complex colorectal cancer multidisciplinary team which offers a tertiary service to individuals diagnosed with locally-advanced and recurrent rectal cancers and colorectal peritoneal metastases. Main duties of the job

Duties will involve performance testing on a wide variety of diagnostic X-ray equipment, e.g. mammography, dental, angiography and CT, and radiation protection surveys of diagnostic radiology installations. We are extra keen for those with mammography QA skills but it's not essential. At this level, independent commissioning of equipment is expected as well as routine level B (physics) QA testing. A working understanding of x-ray equipment, radiation instrumentation (such as dosemeters) and the relevant UK ionising radiation regulations and guidance/standards will be expected.Teaching and supervision of less experienced staff is a continuous activity at this level and participation in driving your profession forward will be expected. Communication skills are essential to work with healthcare providers in clinical settings (such as radiographers) and within CMPE to support other technologists and scientists.Applicants should be registered with the RCT as a Clinical Technologist, the HCPC as a Healthcare Science Practitioner (or eligible for these registrations), or with HCPC as a Radiographer and have experience in the use of a wide range of X-ray imaging equipment. Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, skilled Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in our Maternal Mental Health Service, Maple. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The Maple Service is for women and birthing people whose trauma symptoms have a moderate to severe impact on their mental health. This may be due to a traumatic birth experience, pregnancy loss, neonatal death or the loss of a baby as a result of social care procedures due to safeguarding concerns. The trauma may also exist prior to conception, e.g. when tokophobia prevents a woman from achieving a wanted pregnancy.

Staff normally run clinics at team bases, maternity sites as well as occasionally conducting home visits. Some clinical work is additionally carried out via video call. Therefore, the successful post-holder must be willing to travel and work flexibly.

Specialist supervision will be provided for the successful applicant by a band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in the Team. There is a large psychology team working across the whole service who meet regularly, provide peer support, and develop/review the psychological service.

We are looking to recruit to a 1.0 WTE based in the East sub team based at N9 7HD.

Please note that the successful applicant is likely to be required to travel to other sites at times including St Pancras Hospital (Camden) and Cedar Place (North Finchley).

Main duties of the job

Services offered by the post holder will include providing psychological assessments, and interventions to service users in line with the evidence base and NICE guidelines. They will also offer advice and consultation based on psychological formulation to referrers, staff of the Maple Service and other professional and non-professional groups.

The post holder will actively contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of perinatal mental health clinical services using leadership skills and knowledge to provide training and consultancy within the specialty area of loss and trauma in the perinatal period. There will also be opportunities to be involved in service audit and research relevant to psychological work within perinatal mental health. They are expected to hold a complex caseload.

Barnet SCAN is a specialist multidisciplinary service supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD and associated mental health difficulties. The service works closely with families, schools and partner agencies to deliver evidence-based, person-centred care.

This permanent post is based at Holly Oak Clinic, Barnet, and is offered on a part-time basis (0.6 WTE, 22.5 hours per week over three days). Job summary

North London Foundation Trust Community Mental Health Core Teams provide a holistic, recovery oriented, biopsychosocial approach, supporting people with mental illnesses, in partnership with primary care, other community NHS providers and the voluntary sector. Building support systems that reach the whole mental health population with a focus on prevention and sustained recovery delivered by multi-agency collaboration. Each population unit is based on the footprint of Primary Care Networks, bringing together NHS, voluntary sector, peer support and community organisations. Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist or Psychotherapist to join the multi-disciplinary Community Team in the Camden and Islington Personality Disorder Service in North London Foundation Trust. The role is to provide social work expertise to the multidisciplinary assessment of families and parents referred to the service. THE FAMILY DRUG AND ALCOHOL COURT TEAM

A Family Drug and Alcohol Court is an innovative approach to the problem of parental substance misuse (drugs or alcohol) which is having a negative impact on parenting capacity.

The FDAC is based on a model now being widely used across the USA, which is an exciting way of trying to break the destructive cycle of substance misuse through generations. The London FDAC has been running since 2008 and now serves 14 Local Authorities across 4 Family Courts. Independent research suggest that this model is successful in getting parents to engage with and stay in substance misuse services leading to more children being able to return home. Where parents do not engage and children cannot return home, quicker decisions are made about permanent placements for them.

The model is of a specialist court operating within the framework of care proceedings. The specialist FDAC team (which includes substance misuse practitioners, children and family social workers and child and adult mental health expertise) will be attached to the 4 courts we serve in Central, South, West and East London. It will advise the court and link the parents into relevant local services. The emphasis is on working with the parent and child, not just assessing them.

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic full time Band 6 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Therapy Team based at Highgate West Mental Health Centre.

The post holder will be required to deliver a comprehensive Occupational Therapy Service for service users primarily on one designated ward. They will also work closely with Clinical Lead OT, OT Assistant, Activity workers and Art Psychotherapist to provide specialist Occupational Therapy Service to both male and female service users on the 2 PICU wards at Highgate and additionally contribute as required to the Central Therapy Group Programme.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the multidisciplinary team the post-holder will be required to meet the identified occupational and functional needs of service users on their caseload. This includes providing a variety of person-centred assessments and interventions, promoting a recovery approach and social inclusion, to maximise activity of daily living skills and lifestyle management.

The post-holder will ensure that their practice meets the requirements of this clinical group and assess the needs of service users with complex mental and physical health needs. This includes falls risk minimisation work and the issuing and provision of equipment, aids and minor adaptations.

The post holder will have supervisory responsibility for junior staff and student practitioners working in the unit. They work will receive supervision and mentoring from the PICU OT Clinical Lead.

Although staff are allocated initially to work in one specific ward, all appointments are made to the Therapy Department
