This is a rare opportunity to train to become a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) through the apprenticeship route, paid at full time AfC Band 4 (training fees funded by apprenticeship fund and NHS).
In return we'll welcome you into our team and provide a supportive and structured working environment, and all the tools and experiences you'll need to successfully complete this training course and become an accredited NHS Talking Therapies Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. Following completing your training you will be eligible to apply for qualified PWP roles nationally, paid at Band 5 AFC.
As part of this position you will be enrolled on an Apprentice PWP training course at the University of Exeter. This is a full time opportunity only- 2 days training will provided remotely and also face-to-face at a central London location, and 3 days placement at Hammersmith and Fulham Talking Therapies (please note that no travel to Exeter will be required).
More information on the course requirements and structure, as well as application and interview tips, can be found here: https://www.exeter.ac.uk/study/degreeapprenticeships/programmes/certificateinpsychologicalwellbeingpractice/
Main duties of the job

You'll manage your own caseload of clients involving clinical and administrative duties including keeping clinical records of screening referrals using our service protocols. There will be assignments to complete as part of the apprenticeship to advance your training journey. Job summary
Joining the digital service puts you at the heart of the Trust's digital enablement journey. The implementation of the Hive Electronic Patients Record (EPR), powered by EPIC, in September 2022, which was the biggest of its kind in the UK at that time, was the first step in realising the MFT vision of a 'Digital First' organisation and significantly increases the Trust's capability to unleash the power of data, through its ability to capture high quality/volume acute clinical and non-clinical services data and to exploit this data to catalyse digital transformation and support improved patient care.
Main duties of the job
In parallel we have an ambitious digital strategy, which builds on Hive EPR as an engine for transformation for MFT, to deliver scalable, robust, and reliable digital infrastructure, applications, and services, to support other major programmes. This includes the delivery of the Single Hospital Service which was achieved when North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) formally joined MFT in April 2021. As well as supporting national projects, including the New Hospitals Programme, with the redevelopment of the NMGH which is defining the digital approach to a new generation of hospitals. Further, we are developing our governance approach to ensure the Trust makes best safe use of advances such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotic Process Automation across all our services. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our digital team as we continue to address further expansion in the complexity and volume of technological demand.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that all daily checks and system administration duties are carried out by the junior PACS and Order Comms Administrators, in a timely manner and in accordance with the provided Standard Operating Procedures.
- To monitor and manage own designated work load.
- Ensuring the cross cover of colleagues and co-ordination of leave in line with departmental arrangements
- To aid in the training of the junior PACS and Order Comms Support Administrators, ensuring safe practice.
