We continue to develop new pathways and services that ensure a safe, efficient, and patient-centred approach to emergency medicine. Collaboration is key to our practice; we work alongside specialist teams to enhance patient experience and ensure timely access to the right care, at the right time and in the right place. Our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) pathways continue to expand and evolve in response to patient and service needs.
The SDEC team at The Royal London Hospital was recognised as a finalist and received high commendation at the HSJ Awards 2024 and more recently, we have been shortlisted as finalists for the Patient Care Awards 2026 for our innovative SDEC pathway addressing nitrous oxide-related neurological harm. Our team has also contributed to the wider evidence base through published work on hypertension management, admission avoidance pathways and on nurse-led pathways including self-administration of intramuscular injections.
In addition, our Emergency Department was honoured with the Barts Health Hero Award in 2025/26 in the Patient's Choice category.
Main duties of the job
o To provide the highsted standard of individualised and holistic patient care, in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.o Work collaboratively with Emergency Department (ED) nursing, medical and operational team to provide care that is safe and effective.o Supports the example set by the Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses to act as a senior nurse providing managerial support to the multidisciplinary team.o To act as a role model to junior members of staff.o To work within the NMC Code of Conduct, Trust policies, guidance and procedures to ensure safe working practice of self and others.o To take chage of the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) when required to do so.o Strive to work within the National targets for Emergency Departments and Same Day Emerngency Care Services.o To line manage a group of emergency department assistants and staff nurses.o To engage with quality improvement projects to enhance patient and staff experience.o To advocate and expedite the journey for suitable ED ambulatory patients by monitoring flow through ED and pulling appropriate patients into the ambulatory care service.

Job summary
The East & South East London NHS Pathology Partnership (Pathology Partnership) is a Pathology network formed across three NHS Trusts: Barts Health, Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The successful individual will be based in the Pathology and Pharmacy Building at the Royal London Hospital site.
Barts Health is one of the largest Trusts in the UK, with a turnover in excess of £1.25 billion and a workforce of over 15,000 staff. We have wide range of diagnostic specialities due to an acute teaching hospital environment and diversity of the local population. The Cellular Pathology Division provides diagnostic and screening services for the whole of North East London and has a combined workload of over 75,000 histology and 5,000 non-gynae cytology specimens. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly team of scientists and Doctors in a modern laboratory and have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of histology techniques. Our facilities are close to underground and DLR services. The laboratory has UKAS accreditation and is HCPC accredited.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a band 4 Associate Practitioner who is a competent and versatile individual with experience in Cellular Pathology to provide technical support to the histology service. The duties will be varied and include embedding, microtomy, housekeeping and tissue transfer. This post would suit an individual with a minimum of A-levels in science subjects. They would be responsible for managing more junior MLA staff. The post will require an ability to work with human tissues of all kinds and the candidate should have a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

The NHS East and South East London Pathology Partnership is an arms-length organisation providing pathology services to Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The Pathology Partnership is hosted by Barts Health.
The Pathology Partnership was formed in May 2021. Between 2021 and 2024 the Partnership undertook a complex transformation programme to establish a single network of laboratories, underpinned by a single Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and single Quality Management System (QMS).The Partnership has a main hub laboratory at the Royal London Hospital and Essential Service Laboratories (ESL) as a minimum at the six other hospital sites served by the Partnership.
The Partnership has three operational divisions:o Blood Sciences including Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Biochemistryo Microbiology and Virologyo Cellular Pathology and Cancer Diagnostics

Are you a recently qualified OT looking to develop your skills and experience across a wide range of physical and mental health settings?We are looking for OT's to join our established and sought after Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotation.
Our rotation offers a unique opportunity to work in a mix of clinical areas across physical health, mental health and various specialist services. The rotation currently includes:
- Adult Mental Health (inpatient)
- Adult Learning Disability (community)
- Forensic Mental Health (inpatient)
- Stroke Rehabilitation (inpatient)

- Community Therapy Service (community)

The rotation is focused in and around the city of Oxford, with some rotations based in the community hospitals to the south of the county. Each rotation is for a period of 8 months (subject to change).
This role will require you to travel countywide across the Trusts sites on a regular basis. You must therefore be comfortable with driving for work purposes and able to travel freely within the hours of the role. Main duties of the job
- To provide Occupational Therapy that is evidence based and follows client-centred principles. This will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcome of interventions, documenting all stages of the process.
- Interventions may be carried out in hospital, community settings or during home visits.
- To develop skills and knowledge through participation in the Flyer Preceptorship Programme and other post-graduate opportunities.
- To participate effectively as a full member of the multidisciplinary team.
- To contribute to the education of occupational therapy students and apprentices.
- To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team establishing effective relationships with colleagues to benefit the treatment of clients in each setting. This will include contributing to decision making about client care programmes

This advert is recruiting for a Peer Support Worker (PSW) within the Oxford Health Buckinghamshire Individual Placement & Support Service (IPS). Peer Support Workersare people who have their own lived experience of mental health challenges or have supported/cared for someone with mental health challenges. They use empathy informed by their own experiences to support service users/families who are accessing mental health services. Peer Support Workers model the recovery principles together with personal responsibility, self-awareness and self-care whilst undertaking the duties of the role. The IPS service knows that being in employment can positively impact a person's recovery and wellbeing. The Individual Placement & Support service supports people receiving care from Oxford Health mental health teams who are unemployed and motivated to find paid employment, or whose current employment is at risk. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Arts Therapist (Art, Music or Dance Movement) to join our new Community Forensic LD/ASD Services. The Forensic Community Learning Disability and Autism Service is an exciting venture for the ELFT Forensic Service, with an overarching aim of reducing the risk of offending or reoffending of adults with a diagnosis of Learning Disability and/ or Autism.
Main duties of the job
The team will provide a range of support across North East London, including complex case management and joint work with and consultation to numerous partner agencies such as other areas of the ELFT Forensic Service, criminal justice partners and Community Learning Disability Services, and providing a substantial programme of training. The team will offer inreach to inpatients at the John Howard Centre and forensic medium secure units in North East London who are approaching discharge.
The service model places a strong emphasis on Recovery, service user involvement, and co-production. The model stresses the importance of working across the care pathway from inpatient to community, and there is an emphasis on building relationships and signposting with community services (including community arts projects and arts in health providers ) to work collaboratively to address the needs of the diverse population.

Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust is undergoing an exciting transformation of community mental health services to develop integrated neighbourhood mental health teams. To support delivery of our clinical pathways we are investing in a range of psychological roles. We are recruiting to a Psychologists post(Band 7/8a) to join our Adult Neighbourhood Community Mental Health Services across Surrey.

These role will sit within and in some cases work across our new community neighbourhood teams, supporting the delivery of integrated, person-centred care.

Main duties of the job
As a Trust we pride our-selves on our innovative and collaborative approach to providing the highest quality, person-centred care: As part of our transition to a neighbourhood model of care, we are developing integrated clinical pathways across primary, secondary care and crisis and emergency service. Our pathways embody strong partnership working with a wide range of statutory and VCSE providers and people with lived experience. This role is key in ensuring therapies pathways are high quality, effective and accessible across the adult age range, and that psychosocial interventions are embedded in wider service delivery.
Unless 8a competencies are met at the time of application, the successful candidate will commence in post at band 7 and then work towards individualised competencies as discussed with the Sector Manager and Psychology Lead.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team within the Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (HMDS) in Leeds. Working within the HMDS department within the oncology CSU, you will be responsible for providing admin support. You will be joining a small, friendly admin team and will also work with scientists and other laboratory staff. Previous experience as a medical secretary is desirable (but not essential).
Main duties of the job
HMDS provides a specialist service for the diagnosis of blood cancers and is part of the central laboratory for the Yorkshire and North East Genomic Laboratory Hub. The laboratory is the largest of its type in the United Kingdom with a high throughput of specimens including peripheral blood, bone marrow and tissue biopsies. The department also has a strong research programme and there will also be opportunity to be involved in projects related to research and clinical trials. This post provides the opportunity to join this successful team at the forefront of diagnostic services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Humber and North Yorkshire ICB for a qualified RMN/RNLD , or Social Worker, to join the Section 117 case management team covering Hull, East riding and North Lincolnshire
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and innovative Band 6 Complex Case Manager to work as part of the team, delivering effective case management, assessment and reviews across the geography for persons who may be eligible for Section 117 funding.
The post holder will review and case manage patients that are subject to Section 117 aftercare (Mental Health Act 1983) commissioning and people with learning disabilities and/or Autism ensuring that the services commissioned are appropriate and safe to manage service user care.
The successful candidate will be joining a newly formed integrated team of clinicians, social workers and administrative staff.
The post holder will work independently and meet with the multidisciplinary professionals, service users and carers within the service and ensure clear understanding of case management and programme of care needs on a continuous basis, discuss potential transfers to alternative placements with service users when necessary. Main duties of the job
The role will cover Hull, East Riding and North Lincolshire. Home working is supported.
This role will work with the senior clinical team and Operational Manager to deliver the 'end to end' Section 117 pathway. This includes eligibility assessment, review, case management and duty. As a member of the team, you will be working with a group of highly skilled people knowledgeable and passionate about Section 117.
You will also contribute to the ICB's essential operational objectives and duties, which includes the achieving of key national performance indicators the delivery of good quality service and care, engage in meaningful supervision, and help to build and shape the development of new guidance for the delivery of CHC across the combined footprint of the Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You will work with families, our local authority partners and the wider MDT

You will work closely with the local multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological care for adults of all ages who experience complex mental health needs and/or difficulties related to frailty and dementia. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiologist to join the Radiology team at BHRUT
This is primarily a general cross-sectional imaging post, with some sessions in general and/or subspecialty ultrasound. The successful candidate will participate in dedicated acute CT reporting sessions during core working hours and will also contribute to a rota for weekday and weekend twilight shifts, as part of the Trust's plan to provide an in-house reporting service over extended hours.
The post holder will work as an integral member of the existing Radiology team, working closely with specialist Radiologists and benefiting from opportunities to develop a subspecialty interest in areas including neuroradiology, head and neck, cardiothoracic, gastrointestinal, urology and gynaecology, nuclear medicine, and musculoskeletal imaging.
The department has a strong commitment to multidisciplinary working and education. There are weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, which also provide valuable educational opportunities for trainees and allied health professionals. The post holder might be expected to contribute to relevant specialist cancer MDTs as well as smaller non-cancer MDTs, with appropriate support from specialist colleagues.
The successful candidate will be based within the Radiology team across Queen's Hospital and King George Hospital, with rotation to the Community Diagnostic Centre at Barking as required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to:
- Share an office space, secretarial support with another colleague with access to a PACS reporting station.
- Report cross-sectional images for general radiology performed on the MRI and CT scanners at the CDC centres, King George's and Queen's Hospital.
- Contribute to the general duty roster and hot reporting sessions.
- Participate regularly in the mandatory department meetings.
- Share an on-call commitment equally with the general radiology consultants.
- Maintain confidentiality about sensitive data as per Trust's information governance guidelines.
- Make use of physical skills in carrying out roles and responsibilities wherever appropriate.
- Make judicious use of the resources and systems made available by the Trust.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policy and/ or management of radiology services.
- Attend and participate in departmental governance meetings including investigations of incidents and audits where necessary.
- Attend and participate in operational and clinical meetings where these are deemed essential to the running of the department and/or service.

Job summary
This is a fixed term role for 12 months. We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join the genomics team within the central laboratory of the Yorkshire and North East Genomic Laboratory Hub. The role will be based within the Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (HMDS) in Leeds, with a focus on haemato-oncology molecular work. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly successful department with extensive facilities and high levels of scientific expertise. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality genomics service. The post holder will work other scientists, both within HMDS and across the central laboratory at Leeds.
Main duties of the job
HMDS provides a specialist service for the diagnosis of blood cancers and is part of the central laboratory for the Yorkshire and North East Genomic Laboratory Hub. The laboratory is the largest of its type in the United Kingdom with a high throughput of specimens including peripheral blood, bone marrow and tissue biopsies. The department also has a strong research programme and there will also be opportunity to be involved in development projects related to research and clinical trials.

Main duties of the job
A rehabilitation assistant in a multi-disciplinary team is expected to work with other health and social care professionals to develop the ethos of multi-disciplinary, integrated care and seamless services ensuring that patient care is delivered to the highest possible standard.As a rehabilitation assistant reporting to a registered health professional, the post holder will implement rehabilitation plans for patients in the community and other settings, observe the patient's condition, providing direct care with a rehabilitation and therapy focus. This may include supporting patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
Flexible working will be required to meet the needs of the patient group.
The ability to work over 7 days is a requirement of the post. The hours of work will be on a rota covering a shift pattern between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced, motivated clinician to join our team.
You will be a registered Occupational Therapist with demonstrable expertise in goal focused rehabilitation, supporting patients to become experts in their own care and to remain in their own homes.
It is expected that you will have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with a variety of service users of different age groups, have good self-management skills and an ability to prioritize your case load. You should ideally have experience of working in a variety of clinical settings with knowledge of the challenges of community working.
It is essential that you are a car driver with access to a vehicle for work as you will be expected to travel across the North East Essex area.
This is a fixed term position until 27th September 2027.

Main duties of the job
The key objectives for this post are to provide goal focused rehabilitation, supporting patients to become experts in their own care and to remain in their own homes by providing holistic assessments and interventions for this care group.
As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will have opportunity to undertake a leadership role in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the rehabilitation provided and be responsible for the supervision of junior staff and students.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to build networks and relationships over a number of sites and different clinical teams. You will embrace innovation and integratedworking and will be committed to delivering excellence in care alongside other OTs, Physiotherapists, Associate Practitioners and Assistant Practitioners.
