This opportunity has arisen for the ideal candidate to join us in the post of Ward Manager - B5 Ward Trauma Orthopaedics on a fixed term/secondment basis to cover maternity leave.
Are you a passionate, motivated and caring individual who would relish the opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the Trust provides high quality patient focused care, then perhaps you are the person we are looking for?
This post forms an integral part of the Trauma and Orthopaedics service. The ideal applicant will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team and will have overall continuing clinical responsibility for managing the ward, including ward finances, staff deployment, delegation and supervision of all grades of staff and ensuring continuous high standards of patient care and safety within the resources available.

Main duties of the job
Be an expert clinical role model.
Manage and lead the ward nursing staff in liaison with deputies. Collaborative working with the Practice Development Team and operational team, including external teams, to ensure effective working relationships.
Lead by example to motivate, develop and establish a well-trained, competent workforce to deliver safe and effective care to all patients within the ward / department.
Coordinate nursing and multi professional activity within the clinical setting, ensuring that there is appropriate skill mix for the patient caseload within available resources.
Promote and role model effective communication within the nursing and multi professional team, to patients, carers and visitors. Receive and report sensitive information.

This is a senior leadership position with accountability for delivering high-quality audiology services to both adult and pediatric patients, ensuring that all operations align with divisional, organisational, and national standards.
About the Role:
As the Head of Audiology, you will be responsible for overseeing all resources and services within the Audiology Department, encompassing scientific, rehabilitative, and support services. Working closely with the Divisional Operations Manager, you will manage waiting lists, ensure compliance with national performance and screening targets, and conduct demand and capacity analysis to deliver a comprehensive service.
In this role, you will hold ultimate responsibility for clinical and scientific decision-making, supported by the Divisional Operations Manager and Divisional Director of Surgery. You'll also carry a diverse clinical caseload, conducting advanced audiological assessments for both adult and paediatric patients, including complex audio-vestibular testing.

This is a full-time post for a Specialty Doctor with significant experience in General and Upper GI Surgery. An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join and support the surgical team. The successful applicant will be expected to work within the Upper GI subspecialty team. The Surgical Department maintains a busy full shift emergency and general surgical commitment.
It is expected that this post will provide you with good experience in looking after acute and elective general surgical adult patients.
During the Consultants' on-call week, there will be daily Post-Take Ward Rounds and no routine clinical activities.
Almost half of the surgical admissions to the hospital are emergencies. This will provide the post holder with ample experience in the management of the acute abdomen, head injury, and common general surgical emergencies. There is excellent back up for managing critically ill patients from consultant anaesthetists and intensivists. They provide help with resuscitation and transfer of patients with major head injuries to neurosurgical units.
It is expected that you will become familiar with the pre/peri- and post-operative management of patients in the general surgical specialties and will acquire the practical skills appropriate to your level of training to support the general surgery department.

Main duties of the job
We are a 19 bedded unit which includes one High Dependency bed. We can accommodate up to 6 children for day surgery and work alongside the Paediatric Assessment Unit. Outpatient clinics also run Monday to Friday from the ground floor of the unit.
As part of this role you will be expected to rotate to Peterborough City Hospital Children Wards when there is a clinical need and to offer opportunities to expand on skills and knowledge.
We are a busy department in what can be a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will need to be a good communicator, be innovative and self-motivated. They should be committed to the provision of high standards of patient care for our children and families.
Ensure that patient care remains a priority in inter-professional practice and that referrals to the MDT are timely and discharge planning takes place where appropriate.
Be aware of the safeguarding agenda, ensuring protection and identification of vulnerable patients.
Ensure effective working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues across the Trust.
We are looking for a flexible individual to work full time or part time hours. Our current shift pattern is 11.5 hour shifts on internal rotation to cover evenings and weekends.

Job summary
This is a system-wide post with a focus on provision of on-site clinical and professional support to partners across the footprint of North Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Care Partnership - Fenland, Huntingdon and Peterborough. CUH is the host organisation and the employer. The system Consultant/Lead Pharmacist - Older People, also hosted by CUH, is the line manager. The purpose of the post is to:
- Support the Consultant Pharmacist in developing and delivering a strategy for care models that identify and manage older patients at greatest risk of severe medicine-related adverse effects.
- Be accountable for the delivery of delegated workstreams in line with system and service priorities
- Act as an expert resource in medicines optimisation in older people, liaising with the multidisciplinary team and system partners to promote safe, effective use of medicines in this patient group.
- Provide an advanced clinical pharmacy service to specific cohorts of older people.
- Collaborate with pharmacy teams from other providers and primary care to ensure service delivery to agreed standards in line with business planning requirements and NHS contracts e.g. DES

Main duties of the job

Our busy, fully computerised Pathology Laboratory at Peterborough City Hospital requires staff members to join our team that supports analytical and diagnostic procedures performed in the Pathology Laboratories.
Specimen Reception is a fast-paced, high output environment covering a 24 hour period. Additionally, the role includes preparing samples for processing by labelling, storing, and retrieving them in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Administrative and clerical tasks are also essential, such as welcoming visitors, handling general telephone inquiries, performing data entry tasks including the input of patient information and test requests into the laboratory computer system, and retrieving patient information while verifying data accuracy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Neonatal Services at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a Band 5 registered nurse for our busy Level 2 (LNU) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Peterborough City Hospital.
Our Neonatal Unit has 20 cots and cares for babies born at 27 weeks gestation or greater.
We are seeking to appoint a motivated registered nurse to join our team of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals, who are passionate about delivering a high quality service to babies and their families.
Please note that we can only consider applications from individuals with a live NMC registration or UK nursing students awaiting their PIN, as we are currently unable to support OSCE.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide total nursing care on a day-to-day basis, working collaboratively with all disciplines to assure a high standard of neonatal care.
The post holder will develop competencies to enable he/she to provide excellent, evidence based care to an optimal standard ensure to all neonates requiring intensive, high dependency and special care
You must be a child or adult trained nurse, interested in a career in neonatal nursing and should demonstrate expert communication skills and a caring manner.

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic physiotherapist to join our expanding paediatric physiotherapy team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, to lead and develop the Cystic Fibrosis Paediatric Physiotherapy service.
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is a shared care centre for CF who work together with the Tertiary Centre at Addenbrooke's Hospital to provide in-patient, out-patient and home care to children and adolescents living in the Peterborough City area. As a Paediatric Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in CF you will work closely with the CF MDT to deliver physiotherapy support to children and their families across the acute and community environment. CF care has dramatically changed in recent years and it is therefore essential that you have experience working with patients who have chronic respiratory conditions and knowledge of exercise/health prescription.
The post holder will be required to participate in our on call rota (adults and children). The successful candidate will be required to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of a growing service, which will also include working on our children's ward.

Main duties of the job
The Highly Specialist physiotherapist working with the Paediatric Therapy Team develops the quality of the clinical service and staff that deliver it. The post holder will work using an enhanced level of practice applying specialist knowledge and skills in the field of paediatric cystic fibrosis. Working within the cystic fibrosis multi-disciplinary team they will assess and treat a specialist complex caseload of patients and make clinical decisions for treatment plans.

This is fixed term until 01/09/2027
The Trust is seeking to appoint part-time, fixed-term and maternity-cover locally employed ST3-level doctors to join the Emergency Department (ED) at Peterborough City Hospital.
The post is designed to provide support to the Consultant staff and to enhance the clinical supervision of junior doctors (FY2 and ST1-2's). The post holder will join middle grade rota and make a significant contribution to the service delivered to patients within ED.
The applicants should have at least 6 years post registration experience, of which 24 months will have been spent in an Emergency Medicine setting at ST3 level equivalent or higher with a commitment to a career in Emergency Medicine, demonstrated by completing parts of MRCEM/ FRCEM.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be part of the ST3 rota providing 24/7 on site cover within Peterborough Emergency Department.
- The post holder will work across the full range of emergency services delivering patient care.
- Initial assessment and treatment of adult & paediatric patients arriving in the department by ambulance or other means.
- To carry out manipulation of fractures and dislocations, together with other minor procedures such as suturing and regional block anaesthesia
- An integral part of in-service training for resident doctors.
- Supervision of FY2 and ST1-2 doctors. In addition we have medical students from Cambridge, ACPs and EP trainees who are provided supervision and shop floor teaching.
- Participation in the department's teaching programme and appraisal.
- Audit and administrative roles, e.g. Police Statements, Clinical Audits and service development (6hrs per week on average will be allocated for CPD, teaching and administrative work)
- Cover for colleagues during annual and study leave will be integrated in the rota.

Main duties of the job
The job plan is anticipated to contain 10 programmed activities per week. The Supporting Professional Activity shall be agreed at individual job planning. A minimum of 1.5 SPA is granted to start with, and additional SPA activity shall be made up by supervision of trainees, non-trainees, ACP's and Physician Associates.
You will be joining the consultant on call rota of 1:8, expected to cover for colleagues' absence from duty on the basis of mutually agreed arrangements with the Department and Employing Trust.
Your main goal will be to deliver clinical assessment, treatment and supervision to all patients' care requirements attending the Emergency Department until onward referral and discharge.
As an experienced consultant, you will provide clinical leadership and supervision for junior medical and nursing staff within the department. You will ensure adequate arrangements for hospital staff involved in the care of patients, to be able to contact them when necessary, and to observe the current local arrangements for advising details of leave.

A2 is a 35-bedded surgical ward specialising in Urology, ENT and general surgery. The post holder will play a key role in the co-ordination of the delivery of the Clinical Research, in all Clinical Directorates. Provide support for Chief and Principal Investigators and their research teams within the clinical directorates to enable the efficient and high quality set up and running of Clinical trials within the Trust in compliance with National Regulators and Guidelines.

Main duties of the job

- taking an overarching view of the clinical trials to assess, arrange and confirm capacity and capability to deliver within the Trust ensuring that they are meeting the UK Governments set up targets
- auditing and monitoring Clinical Research within directorates to ensure research practice meets the quality and standards set out in the UK Policy Framework for H&SC
- provide guidance and training on Clinical Research practice and the use of the Local Portfolio Management System
- Support research teams with analysing study protocols for the Trusts capacity and capability of running clinical research trials at both a financial, resource and practical level. Liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff to support directorates to ensure all requirements for each study have been negotiated and are in place
- Where barriers exist for the delivery of Clinical Trials within directorates, work on mapping exercises with the research teams to overcome these hurdles with assistance from the R&D Manager
- Analyse, investigate and report on national research benchmarks to the clinical directorates. Identify barriers to patient recruitment to time and target and implement solutions and action plans with the R&D Manager as required to overcome these barriers. Where necessary, to be responsible for forwarding or uploading trial data/accrual in a timely manner to the UK CRN coordinating centre and information Manager.

Job summary
6 month secondment or fixed term opportunity to become an integral part of our dynamic Urology team.
As a member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in independently supporting the clinical nurse specialist team while aiding in the planning of assessments for patients on suspected cancer pathways.
Your responsibilities will encompass a range of vital tasks, including managing systems for handling results, facilitating communications with patients as needed, scheduling appointments, and monitoring and delivering clinical outcomes. Collaborating closely with the Urology CNS team, you'll contribute to enhancing FDS and 62-day targets, ultimately elevating the standard of patient care.
Main duties of the job
- Proactively ensure patients have received eGFR results before MRI and PSA results before review clinic to prevent pathway delays.
- Facilitate care transfers between service teams and across care interfaces.
- Refer and signpost patients for higher-level decisions and support.
- Triage incoming patient calls, initiating appropriate responses based on established protocols.
- Monitor, audit, and report on service, inputting data to Somerset cancer database.
- Conduct pre-planned outbound calls to patients under healthcare professional guidance.
- Contribute to clinical/quality management team reviews of pathway issues. Ensure MDT outcomes are actioned, liaising as needed.
- Manage admin and results for CNS team review, supporting timely diagnoses within 28 days.
- Monitor post-treatment surveillance, collaborating with clinical colleagues to prevent follow-up delays.
