Main duties of the job
The purpose of this post is to enable the successful candidate to gain further experience in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery for young people, whilst providing senior support to the professional team in carrying out its Clinical & Research workload in outpatient clinics, operating lists and ward work.
Applicants must be at the level of FRCS (Tr and Orth), and have completed, or be very close to the end of their higher specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in order to be shortlisted. The successful candidate will be intending to pursue Paediatric Orthopaedic surgery as a specialist career and will have experience inChildren's Orthopaedic surgery and be able to work in senior position of responsibility in an Orthopaedic team.

Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Administrative Assistant to support the Oxford Centre of Enablement (OCE) Rehabilitation Medical team and associated MDT team.
The post holder will be required to assist in the provision of a professional, comprehensive, and efficient administrative service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the medical department.You will be responsible for managing patient's pathways and referrals ensuring information is accurate and up to date. The post holder will work as a team ensuring they support other administrative staff.
This is a fast-paced role and will require the successful candidate to be highly organised and a confident communicator. The post holder must be able work on their own initiative, develop their own administrative systems, manage, and prioritise their workload, seeking advice and escalating issues to their line manager. Attention to details is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will work closely with medical team and administrative staff to support the delivery of service ensuring comprehensive efficient processes are in place to manage the workload.
- The post holder will be responsible for managing and tracking the 18-week pathway using activity and clinical data to validate the waiting times targets.
- To support training for other administrative staff in same department.
- To co-or ordinate the daily office work with the band 2 administrator and work as a team to ensure an appropriate plan is in place and that the band 2 administrator is supported.
- To oversee that all clinics are booked appropriately, and referrals registered ensuring all changes are recorded accurately and do not impact clinical time.
- To be the main contact for all telephone queries relating to the medical team ensuring information is passed correctly to the relevant staff and dealt with in a professional manner.

Main responsibilities and other operational tasks:
- To act as a first point of contact for matters relating to administration for the medical team based at the OCE.
- To manage and maintain appointments diaries for all consultants and registrars within the OCE medical team electronically, updating their annual leave and updating their diaries accordingly for all outpatient clinics. Also, to ensure that all these changes are reflected and updated in EPR
- To support all room bookings requests as required for the medical team for clinics and any other clinical meetings.
- To answer telephone calls using the Liberty website-based phone system from medical and non-medical staff, and deal with calls appropriately, communicating important messages to the appropriate people in a timely manner. To ensure that messages are clear and well documented as applicable in EPR or to the relevant individual.
- To ensure that there is enough stock of clinical supplies for the outpatient clinics such as clinical forms, wristbands, ink cartridges, needles, stationary stock for office etc and to request further supplies in a timely manner with the line manager. To escalate any complaints received via face or non-face to face relating to clinics with the support of your line manager.
- To provide excellent customer care that demonstrates a caring and responsive approach. To be compassionate and empathetic to the variety of complex physical, emotional, and social needs of the patient group that are seen by the OCE.
- To actively collect, distribute and open all post daily.
- To support the medical team with ad hoc typing requests relating to clinical matters and assist with other duties as requested.
- To support the weekly in-patient ward round meetings as required.
- To take responsibility for DVLA requests received for outpatients and ensure the correct process is followed and requests received are chased accordingly and submitted back to DVLA. To then inform your line manager when the request has been submitted to DVLA so that an invoice can be raised in a timely manner.
- To monitor and reply to any emails in the departments nhs.net mailbox on a regular basis. This will also be applicable to messages received in EPR.
- To upload emails and other clinical documents to EPR via Scan-IT and forward onto the consultant/clinician/administrative teams/individuals as appropriate.
- To register all consultant referrals sent via post, email, EPR message centre or e-RS within 24 hours using revenue cycle in EPR ensuring the correct patient pathway (RTT) is used always maintaining accuracy.
- To check e-RS frequently throughout the day for new GP referrals and register them on revenue cycle in EPR.
- To forward all referrals and relevant documents to the consultants in a timely manner.
- To schedule clinic appointments accurately on revenue cycle in EPR ensuring that the correct RTT status is recorded in accordance with the Trusts 18 weeks guideline and follow department procedures.
- To generate & prepare clinics for each day with a clinic sheets, outcome form & wristbands if required.
- To login to the Attend Anywhere (AA) website for upcoming video consultations and check in patients when they become visible to you in the virtual waiting area. To message the patient on AA if the consultant/clinician is running behind in clinic.
- To close open clinics daily on EPR in real-time if possible, using outcome forms following departmental processes.
- To update patient demographics appropriately whilst adhering to the Trust policies for data protection and patient confidentiality.
- To modify and sign & submit all clinic letters in PowerChart using the correct PowerNote, whilst checking that they have been completed to a high standard, ensuring all addresses and details are correct for all recipients.
- To check hospital transport bookings on the Patient Transport Service (PTS) website daily to make sure that the booking location is correct, and a resource has been allocated. To use instant messenger or call the PTS team if there are any issues with the booking.
- To organise, plan & prioritise own tasks and workload.
- To photocopy, request patients medical notes as required and complete other general office duties as requested by any team as agreed by your line manager.
- To work flexibly, providing cover for reception and other administration posts as required.
- To undertake any other duties required by arrangement from your line manager.
- To be the main point of contact for reporting issues to IM&T on behalf of the office and medical team ensuring that calls are followed up with the support of your line manager.
- To process any annual leave requests from line manager that affect the clinics and updating the medical team outlook calendars, revenue cycle and clinic timetable schedule ensuring accuracy.

Main duties of the job
Key roles include:
- Delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to adult cancer in-patients, day-case, and out-patients.
- Participation in pharmacy services to the Day Treatment Unit to optimise patients' understanding towards medications and reduce medicines wastage.
- Clinically screening and checking of systemic anticancer treatments (SACTs), SACT clinical trial treatments and supportive medication prescriptions.
- Participating in multidisciplinary meeting and ward rounds
- Pharmacist led oral anti-cancer treatment education clinics
- Pharmacist non-medical prescribing in multidisciplinary clinics and day treatment unit
- Aseptic experience within Pharmacy's Clinical Trials Aseptic Services Unit (CTASU)
- Participating in the day to day running of the CTASU and developing knowledge in quality control and quality assurance.

We are seeking to appoint a Human Milk Technician to join our Neonatal team at The Children's Hospital.

This roles workload is split between the Human Milk Bank and Neonatal Milk Kitchen the responsibilities for each are detailed below.
Job Summary
To be responsible for carrying out the pasteurisation of donated milk in accordance with the latest update of NICE Guidelines and to local policy and procedure for pasteurisation.
To take responsibility for maintaining accurate records of pasteurisation as per standing Human Milk Bank (HMB) procedures
Liaise and communicate effectively with HMB Manager on all matters relating to the pasteurisation processes of Human Milk.
Responsible for and maintaining inputting all pasteurisation details into thee-Delphyn tracking system.
Maintain a full audit trail for the Human Milk Bank service and provide data as required.
To ensure that the expressing/sterilising rooms are fully stocked with washing up liquid, bottles and cardboard trays.
To be responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the expressing and sterilising rooms.
To safely prepare milk feeds daily for all babies across the Newborn care Unit
To ensure the safe storage and use of breastmilk across Newborn care.
Responsibilities within the Human Milk Bank- Each morning inspect each freezers temperature readings to establish that temperature levels are within acceptable ranges and move milk from any faulty/broken down equipment into another freezer and report faults to HMB manager.
- Ensure all equipment is functional prior to the commencement of the pasteurisation process.
- Ensure preparation area is cleaned at appropriate intervals
- Wear protective clothing including cap, gown and gloves during processing cycles as stated in the HMB policy and food hygiene regulations.
- Pasteurise milk following NICE guideline CG93 (latest update) and local policy variations.
- Defrost, decant, and regularly mix milk during bottling procedures under hygienic conditions.
- Scan the milk bottles into the computer system at various steps throughout the pasteurisation process and during milk preparation.
- Collect three samples from each batch of milk bottled for microbiology testing and nutritional analysis and post pasteurisation as planned.
- Record data of pasteurisation, donor name, dates of milk expression, volume processed and batch number of each mothers milk in the pasteurisation book as each individual batch is prepared.
- Prepare milk analysis equipment and record the values of each batch.
- Following the bottling and pasteurisation of milk ensure that all bottles are correctly labelled.
- Maintain accurate records of all pasteurised cycles following local HMB Standard Operational Procedure (SOP)
- Record and file all processing data at the end of each day in the appropriate files
- Stock up pasteurisation room in preparation for the next pasteurisation day.
- Stock rotate freezers as necessary to ensure oldest milk is used first.
- Ensure freezers are regularly defrosted and cleaned.
- Maintain health, safety and security and report any concerns.
- Communicate effectively with other departments within the Trust as required and alert staff immediately if replenishment stock is required.
- Assist the Human milk bank manager with any duties she may require you to undertake.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
- Help assist with enrolling new donors and answer any mums questions in the managers absence.
- Supports the safe transportation of milk from the milk bank to neonatal units in our network ensuring the cold chain is maintained throughout.
- Supports a quality controlled human milk bank by using Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) in all processes which is reviewed regularly and encompasses all aspects of the milk bank processes.
- Ensure the safe and verifiable storage and pasteurisation of human milk in accordance with nationally recognized guidelines including the validation, calibration, maintenance of all equipment and recording of this.
- Coordinate microbiological sampling of donor milk, ensure all results are recorded correctly and seek clarification where results are significantly out with suspected contamination or are unusual.
- Stock rotate milk that has passed screening and discard failed milk.
- Have clear processes for batch recall if required and review processes for

Job Summary

Responsibilities within the Human Milk Bank- Each morning inspect each freezers temperature readings to establish that temperature levels are within acceptable ranges and move milk from any faulty/broken down equipment into another freezer and report faults to HMB manager.
- Ensure all equipment is functional prior to the commencement of the pasteurisation process.
- Ensure preparation area is cleaned at appropriate intervals
- Wear protective clothing including cap, gown and gloves during processing cycles as stated in the HMB policy and food hygiene regulations.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead, coordinate, and optimise patient flow and discharge pathways for children and young people across OUHFT, the BOB Integrated Care System (ICS) and the Thames Valley & Wessex Paediatric Critical Care Operational Delivery Network (TVW PCC ODN).
They will support safe, timely transitions between Paediatric Critical Care (PCC) Levels 1, 2, and 3, neonatal to paediatric care, and paediatric to adult services. The role includes responsibility for managing complex and long-stay discharges, working across organisational boundaries, and providing expert clinical leadership to improve experience, safety, and continuity of care for children, young people, and families.
The post holder will act as the system-wide coordinator for flow between regional Level 2 units, Designated District General Hospitals, community teams, and home settings, ensuring the right child is in the right place at the right time.

Job summary
The Electrical Assistant (Band 3) plays a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective and compliant electrical maintenance services across all Oxford University Hospitals sites. Working within the Estates and Facilities Department, the post holder undertakes planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and minor installation works to ensure the continuous operation of critical engineering systems that support patient care. The role contributes to maintaining compliance with statutory legislation, Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs), British Standards and Trust policies while responding promptly to maintenance requests across both clinical and non-clinical environments.
This is a full-time Band 3 position (37.5 hours per week) with a Recruitment & Retention Premium (RRP), plus opportunities to earn additional income through overtime and participation in the on-call rota.

Main duties of the job
EF15QP
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and minor repair works on electrical installations and associated building services across all Trust sites to ensure safe, reliable and compliant operation.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, diagnose faults and carry out repairs or assist competent electrical staff with more complex works, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical services.
- Support the maintenance and testing of essential electrical systems, including lighting, emergency lighting, small power, nurse call systems and other critical infrastructure that directly supports patient care.
- Assist with planned engineering programmes and electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs), British Standards, statutory regulations and Trust policies.
- Complete maintenance records, job documentation, timesheets and inspection reports accurately using Trust maintenance systems while contributing to estates' surveys and audits.
- Participate in the Trust's out-of-hours on-call rota and respond to emergency maintenance incidents, ensuring continuity of critical engineering services across all hospital sites.

- Support the delivery of statutory maintenance programmes, ensuring that engineering systems remain safe, reliable and compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with electrical installations, enabling works and minor projects under the supervision of qualified electrical staff.
- Complete maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, job dockets and timesheets accurately using the Trust's maintenance management systems.
- Work collaboratively with other estates trades and contractors to deliver an integrated maintenance service across all hospital sites.
- Prioritise workloads to meet changing operational demands and maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

- Recognised and registered EITB, City & Guilds, modern apprenticeship, NVQ level 2 or approved equivalent training in Electrical/Engineering
- NC/HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience within the required technical disciplines (e.g.: Fire Alarms, Small Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, standby power systems, BMS, Nurse Call Systems, Facilities Management Software etc.)
Desirable
- Trained in Health & Safety, i.e. First Aid, NEBOSH, IOSH, etc
- Registration with approved organisations, i.e. UK Register of Electricians, JIB Schemes, Gas Safe, etc.
- Member of relevant healthcare or engineering institutes, i.e. IHEEM, HEFMA, CIBSE, IET etc
- Experience across several of the HTM's acting as either a CP or AP
- Full Driving Licence
