Job summary
The Reception Team Leader will support with the day-to-day running of the practice, with a primary focus on the supervision and coordination of the Care Co-ordination Team across both sites.
The role will focus on ensuring effective workflow management, supporting patient access processes, and maintaining high standards of the teams processes.
The post holder will act as a key point of contact for the Care Co-ordination Team, providing guidance, support, and oversight to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within required timescales.
They will facilitate effective communication between patients, clinicians, and external agencies, ensuring a smooth and responsive service.
The Reception Team Leader will support (but not lead) the delivery of operational processes, working alongside the Practice Manager and Executive Manager, escalating issues appropriately where required.
Main duties of the job
The Reception Team Leader will support the day-to-day running of the practice, with a primary focus on supervising the Care Co-ordination Team across both sites.
Key responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating rotas and leave, managing sickness reporting, and ensuring appropriate service cover at all times. Any performance or staffing concerns will be escalated to the Practice Manager.
The role also involves supporting administrative workflows, including medical records, patient recalls, and digital consultations, ensuring processes are completed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. The post holder will assist with managing the appointment system and resolving operational issues.
Further responsibilities include supporting training, induction, and compliance with mandatory training requirements.
The Reception Team Leader will provide support across wider practice operations, including premises, IT, patient feedback, and communications, ensuring issues are identified and escalated appropriately.

Jubilee Park Medical Partnership are seeking a 4 session Salaried GP to join our team. The working days will be Mondays and Tuesdays.
We are a busy and innovative practice with a friendly and supportive team. The Practice is based over two sites, Lowdham Medical Centre and Park House Health and Social Care Centre, and provides care to patients living in Carlton, Gedling, Netherfield, Burton Joyce, Lowdham, and the surrounding villages of Lowdham.
Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population as a whole, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
About us
We provide care to around 12,300 patients, have 3 partners, 5 salaried GPs and a large support team.
We have a Good CQC rating and are a well organised practice, supported by a fantastic management, nursing and administrative structure.
We utilise SystmOne, Ardens and Teamnet to support our practice and patients and are a teaching practice with GP trainees and medical students.
We are part of Synergy Health PCN and work collaboratively with the 2 other surgeries within the PCN to ensure we are all using the PCNs full potential. As a practice we are forward thinking, adaptable and open to change.

Job description
Job responsibilities
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
Flexibility to work across sites is essential.
