Are you a caring and experienced Practice Nurse looking for a new opportunity in a friendly and supportive environment?
Paston Surgery is a close-knit GP practice in North Walsham, and we have an exciting opening for a Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. This position is approx. 30 to 37.5hours per week, and we are flexible about how those hours are arranged.

Main duties of the job
About the Role
Were looking for an NMC registered GP Practice Nurse who can bring experience, enthusiasm, and compassion to our team. In this role, you will need to be a team player and:
Help with Chronic Disease Clinics: Support patients with long-term conditions. Ideally to lead on one or more Long Term Conditions.
Provide General Treatment Room Care: Carry out usual practice nurse duties.
You will work as part of a close team, collaborating closely with our GPs, nurse colleagues, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure the practice runs smoothly. We believe in a true team approach you'll always have friendly colleagues ready to support you on a busy day or when facing a challenge.
We understand that flexibility is important, so we are open to discussing how you'd like to spread working hours across the week.

Nursing duties
- Provide nursing care to patients as required in accordance with clinical based evidence, NICE and local requirements
- Appraise wounds and other minor injuries, administer dressings; refer to a practice doctor or the hospital as appropriate
- Take swabs, cervical smears
- Provide immunisations and injections to children and adults
- Assist with Chronic Disease Management using the principles of MECC to maximise encounters and minimise patient visits
- Take a lead in one or more chronic diseases

Job summary
We are looking for a part time Phlebotomist with excellent clinical, communication and service skills to join our friendly Nursing Team.
Ideally you will have experience and the role is ideally suited to someone wanting to work school hours.
Main duties of the job
Typical duties include venepuncture, ICE forms, sample handling, and updating patient records. Please see the Job Description for more details.
Candidates must be service-minded, driven to help others and make the patient experience as straightforward as possible. Confidence in talking to patients with diverse needs is required and excellent communication skills are required. It is essential to be organised, efficient, adaptable, and flexible in a fast-paced working environment.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, professional, and ideally have experience of working in a busy GP surgery using SystmOne. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also be enrolled to the NHS Pension Scheme. Training and ongoing development support the role.
