Job summary
We are really excited to be creating a new 4-session Salaried GP role at Pilgrims Way Surgery.
We are a GMS practice looking after around 9,000 patients. We know our patients well and genuinely value the relationships we build with them. For us, being a GP is about more than simply getting through a busy surgery its about getting to know people, building trust and making a difference over time.
Main duties of the job
We would love to meet a GP who enjoys the best bits of general practice getting to know your patients, building relationships with them and being part of our welcoming small team.
We are looking for a 4 session GP to work 2 days a week, Wednesday being essential, with one day being a duty day, although the sessions can be negotiable.
About us
At Pilgrims Way Surgery we have 2 partners, 1 salaried GP, 2 PAs, 2 nurses and 2 HCAs, and a full complement of admin, reception and practice manager team
We have a low home visiting rate. Most Docman is screened by our Docman team so only documents needing GP actions are sent to the GPs.

Job summary
We are seeking a Part-time, permanent Receptionist to join our busy and well-organised, friendly team. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering a high standard of customer service as well as administrative support.
This position offers the following post:
Post 1 =
- Monday - 7.30am - 6.30pm
- Tuesday - 7.30pm - 6.30pm
- Friday - 12.00pm -6.30pm
Please note that flexibility is essential, as there will be occasions when additional shifts are required at short notice.
Main duties of the job
Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Lead Receptionist/Practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels:
- Opening or closing of Practice premises
- Maintaining, monitoring and operating the Practice appointments system
- Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are signposted to the appropriate Healthcare Professional or service
- Using digital tools to manage and process patient requests
- Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) email
- Filing and retrieving paperwork
- Processing repeat prescriptions
- Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated Healthcare Agencies and providers
- Providing clerical assistance to Practice staff as required from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning
About us
We are a small but busy NHS Training Practice in Dartford with just under 9000 patients. We have 2 General Practitioners Partners, 1 salaried GP, 2 Physician Associates, 2 Practice Nurses and 2 HCAs and 8 members of staff within the Management, Secretarial, Reception and Administrative Teams.
We are a GMS practice.
