Job summary
Riddings Family Health Centre is looking for a Receptionist - Care Navigator - Administrator for 31 hours per week to join our small friendly practice team in Timperley, Altrincham.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include providing reception and administration services to our patient population and wider healthcare colleagues. A full description of main duties can be found in the Job Description.
About us
We are a small surgery covering Timperley and the surrounding areas with a registered patient population of approximately 3,700 patients and growing fast. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to work in a small friendly practice.
We are part of Trafford South Primary Care Network which also includes 5 other practices which are: Barrington Medical Centre, Shay Lane Medical Centre (Patel), The Family Surgery, The Village Surgery and Timperley Health Centre Westwood.

Primary key responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of a Receptionist / administrator in delivering health services. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. Accurately detail information on patients records within the clinical system
b. Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system
c. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
Assist with total triage administration
e. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
f. Signpost patients to the correct service
g. Initiate contact with and respond to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
h. Photocopy documentation as required
i. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
j. Input data into patients healthcare records as necessary
k. Direct requests for information, i.e., DSAR, insurance/solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
l. Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
m. Carry out system searches as requested
n. Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
o. Undertake a broad spectrum of administrative duties commensurate with the role
p. Be an integral part of the general practice team
q. Act as a chaperone as required
r. Be aware of duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhere to practice policies and procedures on safeguarding adults and safeguarding children
s. Support in the delivery of enhanced services and other service requirements
t. Undertake all mandatory training and induction programmes
u. Contribute to and embrace the spectrum of clinical governance
v. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
w. Attend a formal appraisal with their manager at least every 12 months. Once a performance/training objective has been set, progress will be reviewed on a regular basis so that new objectives can be agreed
x. Undertake call and re-call duties for QOF, Enhanced Services and other Schemes as required.
y. Any other duties deemed necessary for the smooth running of the organisation.
Wider responsibilities
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Receptionist has the following wider responsibilities:
a. Support administrative staff, providing cover during staff absences and attend Protected Learning Time monthly or more frequently if required. Also attend and contribute to Practice Meetings when required.
b. Action incoming emails and correspondence as necessary
c. Scan patient related documentation and attach scanned documents to patients healthcare records
d. Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
e. Support in the management of repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently
f. Support and participate in shared learning

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen as Riddings Family Health Centre is looking for an experienced GP Assistant to join our friendly practice team for 18 hours per week. Our ideal candidate will already have experience as a GP Assistant and will possess the GPA qualification.
The practice has approximately 3,700 patients and our patient list size is growing rapidly. We are high achievers for QOF and other patient related and contract related targets.
We are one of 6 practices who form part of South Trafford PCN and we work with the other 5 practices who provide shared services to our PCN population.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include providing both Clinical and Administrative support to the GPs and wider practice staff. A fuller, but not exhaustive list of duties can be found in the Job Description.

The post-holder is a GPA GP Assistant
The GPA will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of duties both Clinical and Clerical and will be a General Practice Assistant in possession of a GPA qualification.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Phlebotomy
Health Promotion Advice including but not limited to Smoking and Alcohol
BP and Urine Tests and advise patients accordingly
ECGs
Height, Weight, BMI
Removal of Sutures
Patient screening following protocols
Administration of certain vaccinations and immunisations that you have been assessed as competent to administer and following practice protocols such as Influenza, Pneumococcal, Shingles and B12 injections.
Undertake NHS Health checks and report back to the Practice Nurse and GPs
Provide clinical support for GPs
Dealing with Docman and actioning tasks, including some coding
