Job summary
This is an exciting time to be working at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, one of the biggest NHS Trusts in the UK, delivering care to more than 1.6 million people a year through our three main hospitals: Barnet, Chase Farm and Royal Free.
In therapy services we have received funding to recruit new members of staff across all the therapy disciplines including therapy assistants to work with the physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and dietitians in our inpatient teams.
We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic people to join our team who have experience of working with people in a hospital setting. Our therapy assistants work in multi-disciplinary teams across the hospital such as:
Health Services for Elderly People
Orthopaedics
Respiratory and Cardiology
Acute and community neurosciences
Amputees and vascular patients
The successful candidate is required to demonstrate the Trust values, shared commitments and meet the criteria for the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.

Main duties of the job
To assist qualified Therapists in the delivery of the service to the patients within the designated clinical area.
1.To provide goal directed clinical intervention to patients who have been previously assessed by any of the following: Physiotherapist; Occupational Therapist: Speech and Language Therapist; Podiatrist or Dietician.
2.To progress treatment without the direct supervision of a therapist but under the direction of the relevant qualified therapists.
3.To record and report back the treatment provided and the patient's response to treatment in the relevant records in line with national and local standards.
4.To undertake routine maintenance checks of clinical areas and equipment within designated clinical areas.
5.To carry out administrative and clerical duties for the therapy team.
6.To participate in weekend duties.

The post holder is expected to support the Divisional Triumvirate to manage PALS and complaints for the health unit independently and professionally, ensuring that issues raised by complainants are fully addressed and support staff involved in, or contributing to, the investigation of complaints. Main duties of the job

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES1.1 Work as part of a team to provide a complaints case management service to patients, the public and staff.1.2 Deputise for the Health Unit Patient Experience Lead when required.1.3 Responsibility for managing the Complaints and PALs Facilitators and Patient Experience Administrators, ensuring that all PALs contacts are investigated and responded to within the timeframes.1.4 Manage the process to ensure the Divisional Triumvirate is supported to have PALs and complaints fully investigated and responses are appropriate to the needs of the patient and severity of the complaint in line with the new RFL complaints framework, Being Open and Duty of Candour1.5 Support the clinical leadership to the investigations and draft responses for complaints received for the Royal Free Hospital's corporate services.1.6 Prepare professional and clinically accurate responses for the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Nursing's signature.

Job summary
We have a new opportunity for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Respiratory, Surgery & Critical Care Therapy Team at Barnet Hospital - part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post is full time, working 37.5 hours per week, but flexible working may be considered if raised at interview.
This is a newly created post at Barnet Hospital, providing Occupational Therapy intervention for patients with respiratory, cardiac, acute medical or surgical conditions. In addition, there will be an opportunity to gain experience working with our Critical Care OTs seeing patients on the intensive care unit and once they have stepped down to the wards.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic band 5 or 6 Occupational Therapists with experience of working with people with acute and complex needs - preferably within the acute care setting. In addition, full induction, access to training, joint working and ongoing support will be provided from the friendly and dedicated therapists within the team and wider department.
Main duties of the job
This post offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills in the management of patients with cardiac, respiratory, surgical, and acute medical conditions, in addition to gaining some experience in the critical care setting and with patients with tracheostomy / laryngectomy.
You will have the opportunity to take on team leadership responsibilities, including supervising band 5 therapists, support workers and OT students. Excellent communication skills; the ability to work well in a team; an interest in the training and supervision of staff, and a positive and flexible approach is essential.
You will be joining an established Therapy team of Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Support Workers supported by a Clinical Lead Therapist. You will be encouraged to take an active role in current projects, including service development, training and audit.
You will be working in a rewarding and challenging clinical environment. The therapies department at Barnet Hospital is committed to ensuring staff feel supported with career progression through supervision; appraisal; in-house / external training and leadership development. The department operates a 7 day service, and you will be expected to work one weekend in four on a rota basis.

We are looking for a patient pathway navigator to join our dynamic team in the Oncology Department of the Royal Free
Our team has pioneered the implementation of the new patient pathway roles with great success - and if you feel you could contribute to our continuing to provide a vital, efficient, much praised and empathetic service for our patients we would be delighted to hear from you.
The role would be based at the Royal Free Hospital and would be working as an integral member of the Clinical/Admin team consisting of three Medical Oncology Consultants, one SPR, a Research Nurse and two CNSs. You would be an important part of the team providing cohesive and efficient administrative support along with attending team meetings, MDTs and clinics.
You would be part of the patient pathway from referral to discharge and would be the patients' first port of call when they need guidance through what is often a difficult and distressing time in their lives. You would need to have a calm professional appearance and be happy to always go the extra mile to help.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our Clinical Trials Pharmacy team as a Senior Clinical Trials Research Pharmacist (Band 8a).
In this role, you will support the delivery of a high-quality, compliant clinical trials pharmacy service across a broad portfolio of specialties, including early phase studies. Working closely with the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Manager and multidisciplinary research teams, you will lead on the pharmacy set-up, capacity and capability assessment, and ongoing delivery of clinical trials.
Working closely with R&D, investigators and sponsors, you will provide expert advice on clinical trial protocols, regulatory requirements, and safe medication use, ensuring compliance with GCP and all relevant legislation.
The role also includes a clinical component, including screening and checking trial prescriptions, patient counselling, and participation in dispensary and oncology rotas.

Job summary
The Trust's in-house group legal services are recruiting a band 5 legal officer to join the team based at Barnet Hospital.
The legal officers are vitally important members of the department, and are key points of contact for the coroners' courts, the Trust's indemnity organisation (NHS Resolution) and external lawyers. They work closely with staff across the entire organisation, particularly senior managers , senior nurses and consultants.
The legal services team is very busy, juggling competing deadlines and pressures. We seek colleagues who can are willing to work as part of a team and who always aim to comply with the Trust's values.We are looking for candidates who are hard-working, professional, and can work to a high standard independently. The majority of communications with colleagues and external stakeholders are in writing, so applicants must have excellent written English. Written English will be tested.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for :Assisting the Head of Group Legal Services, Deputy Head of Group LegalServices and Group Legal Claims Manager ("senior legal team") in their conductof coroners' inquest cases, including undertaking all preliminary investigations;
Assisting the Deputy Head of Group Legal Services in their conduct of all personalinjury claims made against the Trust.
Supporting the senior legal team in the:provision of a high level and prompt legal advice service;preparation of High Court/Court of Protection Applications;conduct of clinical negligence claims.
The post holder will work closely with the quality governance, operational and corporate management teams and staff at all levels in the organisation and berequired to work independently, under supervision and as part of a team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join our Medicine team in Pharmacy.
The postholder will assist in delivering and developing a consistently high-quality clinical pharmacy and medicines management service to patients within Acute Medicine including AMU (Acute Medical Unit), AAU (Acute Assessment Unit), respiratory Medicine and TREAT (triage readmissions elderly admissions team) services and support to Accident and Emergency unit. The post-holder will deliver, develop and support the clinical pharmacy services in a variety of different specialties within Barnet and Chase Farm pharmacy departments on a rotational basis.
This role is based at Barnet (BA) and Chase Farm (CFH) Hospitals covering a variety of areas of pharmacy including Patient Services, Clinical Services and E+T, with the aim of enhancing knowledge and skills and allowing progression towards a more senior role.

The Pharmacy Department is a busy but friendly, progressive and expanding unit, which is dedicated to providing World Class standards of pharmaceutical care to all of our patients. Pharmacy Services incorporate the use of robotic automation and other cutting edge technologies. We practice near patient dispensing throughout the majority of the hospital and have transcribers, independent prescribers and accuracy checking technicians within our highly skilled clinical teams.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward thinking pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy team. The post holder will be expected to promote the safe, cost effective and rational use of drug therapy to provide optimal pharmaceutical care to all of our patients, their families and carers. They will work with the multi-disciplinary team to support and improve patient flow by participation in multidisciplinary ward rounds, review of complex medication regimens, drug history taking, drug interaction monitoring, efficient drug supply and discharge planning.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Clinical Trials team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust on a 12-month maternity leave cover basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a high-quality clinical trials pharmacy service, supporting both commercial and non-commercial research across a wide range of specialties. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, sponsors, and research staff, you will contribute to the safe and effective management of investigational medicinal products (IMPs) in accordance with current UK Clinical Trials Regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and other relevant standards.
The post holder will be involved in all stages of the clinical trial lifecycle, including trial set-up, ongoing management, and close-down activities. You will support the dispensing and final checking of clinical trial prescriptions, provide expert advice to clinical teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and quality requirements.
