We are excited to offer positions for Mental Health Practitioners in ourElmbridge Neighbourhood Mental health Team in the Brief Interventions pathway.

The team is moving through a transition to an All-Age Neighbourhood Mental Health Team to provide more joined up mental health care for our community.

As part of our multi-disciplinary team, the successful applicant will deliver comprehensive assessments and a variety of approaches, interventions, and treatments to individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues, supporting them in their personal recovery journey.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to take lead and professional responsibility for a number of service users. You must be committed to delivering a high-quality service, working both independently and as part of our well-established, innovative, and recovery-focused team to meet the needs of service users and their carers.

In addition to managing a defined caseload, the successful applicant will conduct initial assessments for clients referred to the service and support individuals experiencing mental health crises in the community. Job summary

Extended Hope is a support service for young people in mental health crisis in Surrey. It is based in a small children's home in Redhill but covers the entire County. This home provides a short-break service for up to two children who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties. It is operated by Surrey County Council and the local NHS trust. Other interventions provided include after hours contact by arrangement for young people and families and some in-reach to acute hospitals when there are admissions for mental health concerns.

Main duties of the job

Main duties include the assessment of, and support for, children in mental health crisis and assisting local care networks to effectively plan and execute intervention plans. Other focus areas are concentrated on being an impactful member of the team (along with Residential Support Workers) providing direct care for young people who are staying in the house during respite breaks.

To provide timely assessment of young people who present in mental health and social care crisis within the acute hospitals, Health Based Place of Safety (HBPoS) or other community spaces across surrey. Young people may present with deliberate self-harm behaviour, suicidal ideas, suicide attempts, family breakdowns, complex family dynamics, breakdown of adoption, foster and children home placements. Assessments of the above presentations with appropriate signposting, care planning, safety planning, risk formulation/management & community planning applied.

To work collaboratively with the Crisis pathway provision within CYPS and Social care and offer community-based assessments with emergency services when there could be a possibility of supporting young people in their communities as an alternative to being placed on a section of the Mental Health Act (MHA) or removed to a place of safety.

To provide support, advice and education to the Emergency Departments, Paediatric Wards or HBPoS to build knowledge and skills of staff within these settings in the care and treatment of young people. This is an exciting time to join Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as we continue to transform adult community mental health services through our innovative Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams. We are seeking experienced and compassionate Clinical or Counselling Psychologists who are passionate about delivering high-quality psychological care and shaping the future of community mental health services.

We are recruiting into an 8a Senior Practitioner Psychologist post within the Complex Needs Service Line for the Surrey Heath Neighbourhood Mental Health Team based in Frimley (Theta House). This is a senior role for Clinical or Counselling Psychologists who are motivated to drive service development, champion psychologically informed care, and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for people experiencing complex mental health difficulties.

This post will be supported and supervised by the respective place-based Lead Principal Psychologist with additional support of the locality Consultant Psychologist.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to come and join our dynamic Neighbourhood Mental Health teams as a Occupational Therapy Assistant.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant within the team, you will work closely with an Occupational Therapist to deliver occupational therapy interventions within the new Neighbourhood model. • Occupation Matters Programme - a 20 week group which utilises Lifestyle Redesign principles.
• Recovery through Occupation - a 6 week group which uses the Re-Motivation process to improve an individual's motivation and social skills.

Based in Aldershot, this is a part-time post (22.5 hours per week) within a multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people with complex, chronic and/or severe mental health needs.

The post-holder will provide highly specialist psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments, including psychometric assessment, alongside evidence-based psychological interventions. They will be skilled in CBT and at least one additional therapeutic model, and will provide clinical supervision, expert consultation and psychological leadership within the MDT and wider services.
