The successful postholder will provide clinical leadership and supervision for our experienced teams in Stanley and Sedgefield. The teams work with children and young people up to 18 years old providing assessment of language needs as part of the differential diagnosis within neurodevelopmental disorders. As an integral member of our CAMHS leadership team, you will contribute to pathway and service development, quality improvement and strategic planning.

Main duties of the job

Your clinical work will involve carrying out observations, specialist SLT assessments and producing comprehensive reports for a small number of complex presentations. Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Acute Adult Mental Health Wards at Roseberry Park Hospital in Middlesbrough.

This post is offered on a permanent and full-time basis, and will cover three acute adult mental health wards, two male and one female ward. You will join a welcoming multi-disciplinary team in the provision of compassionate, trauma informed care to individuals in need of acute mental health care.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Psychology. Previous experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist and delivering psychologically informed interventions to people experiencing mental health difficulties would be desirable. This is a versatile and fast paced role; you will need to demonstrate compassion, be adaptable and work with flexibility, have excellent communication skills, and have experience of working within a team.

Main duties of the job

The post offers applicants an opportunity for direct and indirect work. The post holder will work under the supervision of an experienced Qualified Applied Psychologist in supporting the co-creation of MDT formulations and further assessment where needed to inform care and intervention planning. The post holders will be involved in supporting the provision of psychologically informed care and psychological interventions through direct and indirect clinical activities. This will include attendance at multidisciplinary meetings, contribution to psychological assessment and formulation, developing behaviour support plans, low grade psychological interventions, groups and evaluation of outcomes.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Durham Tees Valley Mental Health Treatment Requirement (DTV MHTR) service within Health and Justice for a three-month fixed period. DTV MHTR is one of three community sentence treatment requirements available for individuals being considered for a community or suspended sentence. The service covers County Durham and Teesside, offering a service into six courts across the two counties. Given the geography there is a considerable amount of travel required in the post. The service is aimed at adults currently going through the Criminal Justice System, who have pled or been found guilty, whose offence meets the threshold for community sentence, and who have consented to engage (the service is voluntary). As part of the team, with compassion you will actively work to support service users to improve mental wellbeing and overall quality of life.

This post is funded by NHS England for recent psychology graduates looking to gain relevant clinical experience, who may be unable to take on unpaid voluntary work. Under supervision of a Forensic Psychologist, you will provide eligibility assessments for those referred into the service and produce assessment reports outlining proposed intervention pathways. Working alongside colleagues, partner organisations such as Probation and the courts to ensure aims and objectives of the service are met, we also have a large research agenda which you will be heavily involved in.

We are looking to employ one full-time highly motivated, enthusiastic and values-driven assistant psychologist to join our North Yorkshire and York Perinatal Mental Health Service for three months. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work within a specialist mental health service for women and birthing people and their infants. We are looking to employ one full-time highly motivated, enthusiastic and values-driven assistant psychologist to join our Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service for three months. The successful candidate will be a highly valued member of the team. Whilst in post, the successful candidates will receive weekly supervision from a qualified psychological professional, relevant clinical and research experience, and opportunities to further develop their understanding of clinical psychology within the NHS. Additional support structures will be available including peer support, supervision and an assistant psychologist buddy system.

This post is funded by NHS England for psychology graduates looking to gain relevant clinical experience, who may be unable to take on unpaid voluntary work. Existing routes to gain clinical experience can be challenging to navigate and can further disadvantage aspiring clinical psychologist psychology graduates who experience financial, educational or social barriers (FESB). Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will join a busy EIP team, and work across our sites in Stockton (Wessx House) and Middlesbrough (Parkside Mental Health Resource Centre). The focus of the role is to support with the delivery and evaluation of a community engagement project focussed on enhancing the EIP service for racially marginalised communities in the local area. This is a key clinical leadership role, providing highly specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for people with complex needs. The successful candidate will work autonomously while being an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting person-centred care, positive risk-taking, recovery, independence and wellbeing. The role will include clinical supervision and leadership for the Occupational Therapy Assistant, helping to develop the role, clarify responsibilities and support high-quality occupational therapy practice across the service. The postholder will attend OT Learning and Governance Networks to ensure fidelity to core OT delivery, enhance CPD and contribute to the wider OT service developments. The Harrogate & Ripon locality is covered by two community mental health teams: Harrogate Integrated Community team (HICT) and Ripon Integrated Community Team (RICT) now merged. Main duties of the job

You will provide consultant lead in line with the principles of New Ways of Working. The team works on principles of productive and purposeful community services (PPCS). This approach to community care provides increase meaningful clinical activity and ensures evidence-based care in a way that reduces patient journey times and waste. Key elements of PPCS are in place and include the use of clinical huddles and clinical leadership teams in key decision-making and the need for more assertive caseload review and management processes. This occurs through incorporating early senior input into patient formulation and care as well as hosting regular reviews which allows clear and early decision-making. The core clinical work will involve outpatient clinics, formulation, review and leadership meetings and Mental Health Act-related work. The direct clinical workload centres on one new-patient clinic (2-3) patients weekly and two follow-up clinics weekly (5-6 patients each) approximately. Assessment of new patients and review of old ones will be according to need, as may be requested by their different care co-ordinators or the leadership team.

Based on Royal College recommendations, Outpatient work will comprise 3.5 PAs; Clinical Admin 1 PA; MDT work 1 PA; Emergencies 1 PA and MHA work 0.5 PAs. There will be flexibility around this guide depending on team requirements and support.

An exciting opportunity have arisen within the Tees Crisis Triage & Assessment Hub for a competent, confident and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful applicant will be expected to work across a 24 hour,7 days a week roster and will expect to work both nights, days and some weekends, 8-8 shifts.

The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and provide clinical leadership with in the Tees Crisis Service working alongside the wider leadership team and utilising skills to support colleagues.

The team works collaboratively with internal and external partners to support the needs of individuals in an acute mental health crisis and offer support to their family /carers to support to prevent hospital admission. Job summary

This is a replacement post for a full time Consultant working in Easington Mental Health Team. Easington treatment and intervention Mental Health Team serves Adults aged 18 upwards who present with a mental illness. The team is integrated with Durham County Council and provides statutory care act assessments alongside mental health assessment. Patients with an organic illness are managed by Service for Older People. The service operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 to 5, with flexible working to see patients from 8am to 6pm. The team caters to an area of practice in Co Durham region. The team is based at Merrick House Easington, with a large community base. The Team provides secondary mental health service input for all mental health conditions for working age adult population. Patients are seen both at base and in the local community. The team operates in the new community hub and intervention model. Initial assessments carried by senior staff. Patients receive support either in hub or intervention according to needs and complexity of presentation.

The team provides specialist support to patients with significant mental health difficulties such as mood disorders/ schizophrenia/ bipolar disorder/ personality disorder and adult neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD/ Autism.
