Main duties of the job

- Welcome and assist patients, liaising with the practice team and healthcare professionals.
- Manage appointments via EMIS, Accurx and telephone, including bookings, cancellations, recalls and consultations.
- Register new patients and temporary residents, ensuring accurate records.
- Handle enquiries, messages and requests, directing patients to appropriate services.
- Process home visit requests and arrange transport for housebound patients.

Administration
- Open/secure practice premises in line with procedures.

Job summary
Magnolia House Surgery and Kings Corner Surgery are working together to recruit a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly, supportive teams. This joint role offers a unique opportunity to work across two well-established, high-performing GP practices located just one mile apart in Sunningdale and Sunninghill.
You will play a vital role in supporting our nursing and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, including health promotion, preventative care and clinical support. Working across both practices will allow you to develop a broad range of skills, work with a diverse clinical team, and gain valuable experience within a forward-thinking primary care environment.

Main duties of the job
The Healthcare Assistant will support the nursing and clinical teams across both practices by carrying out a range of delegated clinical tasks, supporting chronic disease management and health promotion activities, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
