Dove House is a specialist, robust service to support people with ongoing complex needs and behaviours that challenge who are stepping down from hospital or to avoid an inappropriate admission to hospital and to enable them to return to their home area. The model was introduced to emulate community care for individuals with complex needs in robust, spacious accommodation.
The services are staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurses and Support Workers.

Job summary
We know that service users recover quickly at home, and you will be an integral component for ensuring that this is done in a safe and specific way as an alternative to hospital admission, working alongside the wider MDT.
As a Band 6 Nurse in the CRHT, you will be responsible for providing urgent and emergency triage, advice and assessment for people in a mental health crisis. You will also be responsible for undertaking home treatment visits as indicated by the MDT. This will include the provision and delivery of highly skilled nursing care, including care planning and care delivery, biopsychosocial interventions, clinical risk assessment and management, and promoting recovery and inclusion.
You will be required to work autonomously, understand capacity and flow of the service and the organisation, attend MDT meetings, undertake gatekeeping assessments for inpatient admissions and crisis house admissions, work collaborative with the crisis house to lead on care for admissions as a service and facilitate early discharge from the inpatient wards where clinically indicated. As a Band 6 Nurse in the CRHT, you will also provide clinical leadership and supervision for junior staff.
Main duties of the job
To provide a clinical service that is service user focussed, accessible and responsive on 24-hour, 7-day a week basis.
To triage all mental health referrals into the Team to determine the priority for service response and the appropriate clinical pathway.
To provide and deliver highly skilled nursing care, including full mental health assessment, care planning and care delivery, biopsychosocial interventions, clinical risk assessment and management, and promoting recovery and inclusion.
To recommend and refer, where treatment is indicated, to the most appropriate team/service.
To undertake gatekeeping assessments for inpatient admissions and crisis house admissions.
To work collaboratively with the crisis house to lead on care for admissions as a service.
To facilitate early discharge from the inpatient wards where clinically indicated.
To deliver home based treatment interventions for all clients, ensuring best practice is implemented.
Where appropriate to participate in Mental Health Act assessments so that alternatives to formal hospital admission are considered.

The post holder will provide support to the Directorate Accountant in the delivery of financial and statutoryobligations of the Trusts Financial Management function. The Clinical Support Worker (CSW) will undertake high quality, caring and compassionate personal care and associated duties under the direction and supervision of registered professionals working as part of a multi-disciplinary health and care team.

The post holder will be based at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital in an outpatient clinical setting. They will be expected to independently travel to community locations on a weekly basis.
The post holder will fulfil all tasks and work as part of a team. To meet the needs of the service the post holder may be required to work in other locations as appropriate and directed.
They are expected to have a BSc. Audiology or equivalent qualification. They are expected to be registered with the RCCP professional body.
The post holder is expected to perform duties and responsibilities to a high standard as follows:
- Performs routine and non-routine, complex hearing and balance assessments in adults
- Selects and applies appropriate routine and advanced technical diagnostic test procedures using complex IT based equipment for adults without supervision including Audiometry, Tympanometry, Speech Audiometry, vHIT, VNG and Caloric and cVEMP.
- To perform electrophysiology testing included Auditory Brainstem Responses and Auditory Steady State responses in adults with complex needs.
- Understands and adheres to up-to-date BSA recommended procedures and departmental policies
- Verifies hearing aids using Real Ear Measurements
- Performs daily calibration of all equipment required for assessment
- Makes accurate decisions and onward referrals to MRI
- Writes accurate reports and develops individual management plans for every patient
- Able to give presentations to multi-disciplinary teams
- Make a diagnosis, complete reports and directly refer adults with complex hearing losses such as asymmetrical hearing loss or unilateral tinnitus for an MRI scan
- Design a specialist care package for the adult patient and implement this to facilitate rehabilitation, monitor outcomes and provide repeated diagnostic assessment at key stages
- Accurately inform the referring health professional/Doctor of the diagnosis and the future care package of the patient

The post holder will be based at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital in an outpatient clinical setting. They will be expected to independently travel to community locations on a weekly basis.
The post holder will fulfil all tasks and work as part of a team. To meet the needs of the service the post holder may be required to work in other locations as appropriate and directed.
They are expected to have a BSc. Audiology or equivalent qualification. They are expected to be registered with the RCCP professional body.
The post holder is expected to perform duties and responsibilities to a high standard as follows:
- Performs routine and non-routine, complex hearing and balance assessments in adults
- Selects and applies appropriate routine and advanced technical diagnostic test procedures using complex IT based equipment for adults without supervision including Audiometry, Tympanometry, Speech Audiometry, vHIT, VNG and Caloric and cVEMP.
- To perform electrophysiology testing included Auditory Brainstem Responses and Auditory Steady State responses in adults with complex needs.
- Understands and adheres to up-to-date BSA recommended procedures and departmental policies
- Verifies hearing aids using Real Ear Measurements
- Performs daily calibration of all equipment required for assessment
- Makes accurate decisions and onward referrals to MRI
- Writes accurate reports and develops individual management plans for every patient
- Able to give presentations to multi-disciplinary teams
- Make a diagnosis, complete reports and directly refer adults with complex hearing losses such as asymmetrical hearing loss or unilateral tinnitus for an MRI scan

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide care to birthing people and families attending for appointments within our antenatal outpatient services.They will advise on the benefits of initiating breastfeeding and discuss health promotion strategies related to infant feeding methods.The post holder will work as part of the Infant Feeding Team and in line with Trust policies, guidelines and UNICEF standards for infant feeding.
The main duties include:
Providing infant feeding education to women attending for outpatient appointments
Provide infant feeding parent eduction sessions
Promote and work alongside other infant feeding support professionals
Link patients with local family hub resources
Keep data accurately and appropriately on feeding methods and outcomes
Support the specialist infant feeding team with specialist clinics and care
Support birthing people throughtout the antenatal period and follow up with immediate postnatal care handing over to community service support
