The post holder will provide comprehensive and high quality receptionist/telephonist service.
The post holder will work in a challenging environment that undergoes constant changes and will need to exercise judgement and use a combination of skills to deal with day-to-day issues.
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a sensitive and caring attitude that is client-focused and maintain a calm and organised approach when working under pressure.
Main duties of the job
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
Deal with patient enquiries in person and over the telephone appropriately, efficiently, courteously, promptly and discreetly, recognising the different needs of individuals.
Work flexibly with other practice staff to ensure that the surgery is adequately staffed at all times.

Job summary
High Lane Medical Centre is looking for an experienced receptionist/administrator to work in a busy GP surgery based in High Lane. Previous experience is desired along with experience of practice IT systems; EMIS, DOCMAN, ACCURIX and TQuest.

Job responsibilities
- Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our reception area, working as part of our reception team.
- Acting as a first contact with the practice and being aware that you are an ambassador for our surgery.
- Application of registration procedure for new patients and their induction into the practice via booking of an optional new patient assessment and distribution of the practice information leaflet.

Ward 4B - Full Time 12 Month Fixed Term
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint dynamic and confident Senior Nurses to join the general surgical department, Whiston Hospital.
Reporting to the Ward Manager, the post holder will be expected to assist the Ward Manager in all aspects of the clinical operation. 4C is a 33 bedded General Surgery and Colorectal Ward. 4B is a 32 bedded ward split between SAU - surgical assessment and Elective admissions.
Successful applicants will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic, have experience in general surgical nursing and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We require an individual who is forward thinking, well organized with a positive attitude towards flexibility and change. You will need current acute surgical experience at Band 5 level or above and have a proven track record of effective communication, leadership and clinical expertise.
An enhanced DBS with barred lists for both Adults & Children is required for this post.
Main duties of the job

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our primary care team for 3 days per week.
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with strong autonomous practice skills to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of both acute and chronic conditions.
Main duties of the job
The ANP will work independently and collaboratively to deliver a high standard of clinical care. Key responsibilities include:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment/interventions for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
- Manage acute presentations, minor illness, and long-term conditions
- Prescribe medications in accordance with local and national guidelines (if qualified as an independent prescriber)
- Order and interpret investigations such as blood tests, imaging, and ECGs
- Work autonomously within scope of practice and professional guidelines
- Provide health promotion, education, and preventative care
- Contribute to practice development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support and mentor junior staff where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
