As a Receptionist/Administrator at Operose Health, your key duties will include responding to patient queries, liaising with the wider primary care team, managing appointment requests, signposting patients to services, maintaining patient records, and ensuring confidentiality. Additional responsibilities include emailing, scanning, coding clinical correspondence, processing prescription requests, and utilizing other information systems to support workflow processes. Reception or customer care experience is essential, along with excellent spoken and written communication skills. Basic PC skills in Word, Excel, and email are required. Job summary
We are looking for a GP to work on alternate Saturdays for routine and long term condition reviews, providing enhanced access hours for our Primary Care Network (PCN), predominantly from our Asplands site.
At Ascent PCN, we offer something a little different from the usual weekend GP role. You'll be joining a friendly, welcoming team where our weekend clinics are staffed by a regular group of clinicians and support staff. This familiarity creates a strong sense of camaraderie, making weekends feel like a genuine team rather than simply an extra session. Appointments are longer and the surgery is calmer than during the week.
Ascent PCN brings together three practices and around 30,000 patients across four sites, spanning rural and urban communities and a wonderfully diverse range of socioeconomic backgrounds. This gives you the opportunity to experience the full breadth and variety of general practice within a single role.
Whether you enjoy the complexity of managing multimorbidity, the variety of undifferentiated presentations, or simply the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, weekends will feel quite different to the norm.
You'll be supported by an experienced and approachable team. We value collaboration, continuity and a positive working atmosphere and we'd love to welcome a GP who shares those values.

Main duties of the job
Weekend clinics are comprised of usual GP duties including face to face and remote consulting, conducting long term conditions reviews, planned routine reviews and proactive care. Appointments on a weekend are 15 minutes long and there is no current requirement for home visits to be done. The sessions are "by appointment only".
The GP will undertake a variety of duties governed by the GMS contract and objectives of Enhanced Services, including:
- In person consultations
- Telephone consultations
- Checking and signing prescriptions
- Dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence as required by weekend services
- Clinical administration including processing of results and coordinating referrals for specialist review
- Leading, supporting and advising the allied health professionals working in clinics during the clinic session.
- You may be the only GP on site so need the confidence and experience to cope with that.

You will:

Whitstable Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated fully Qualified or Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Frailty to join our friendly, highly performing team.
You will have completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or if an equivalence be registered through the Advancing Practice Academy e-portfolio route. Or you will be on an MSc Advanced Practice course and have completed your clinical assessment and independent prescribing qualification. Our wider team includes GPs, practice nurses, ACPs in urgent care, paramedic practitioners, nurse practitioners, radiographers and administrative staff.
As a team we support the care of older people within the Whitstable area, in particular leading the care for all the local care home residents, conducting home visits for those with severe frailty and providing urgent home visits for those acutely unwell and at risk of hospital admission. We also provide teaching and support to our colleagues regarding older persons care and link in closely with other community services such as the community frailty team and home treatment service.
Main duties of the job
The candidate must have a special interest in frailty, have considerable post registration experience, be competent in assessing patients, arranging investigations, considering differential diagnoses and implementing management plans. It is essential to have professional registration.
The post holder will work alongside experienced Frailty Practitioners in addition to a number of other Allied Health Professionals. They will have strong organisation skills, be flexible and show empathy and compassion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with evidence of leadership qualities are also required.

The post holder will:
- In accordance with the practice timetable, undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, urgent appointments, telephone consultations, clinical queries, triage and clinical decision-making.

Full or part-time hours are available within our opening hours of 8am to 8pm three days/week and from 8am to 6.30pm on the other two days.
