Job summary
We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a consultant in paediatric gastroenterology. We are at a key point in developing what is one of the core departments of the Great North Children's Hospital (GNCH) and are looking to enhance our team with a highly motivated, ambitious individual. GNCH has an ambition to become one of the best children's hospitals in the world and a strong gastroenterology department is central to this. We welcome applications from individuals with grid or equivalent training in paediatric gastroenterology.
You will join consultant colleagues in Paediatric Gastroenterology and consultant General Paediatricians with specialist interests in gastroenterology as well as middle grades in paediatric gastroenterology. The post does not currently include out-of-hours paediatric work, but as the department grows, we hope that this can be incorporated.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from candidates with training in, and a passion for, Paediatric Gastroenterology. Special interests in specific areas of paediatric gastroenterology including IBD, GI immunology, adolescent medicine, nutrition, allergy, endoscopy, or pancreatico-hepatology would be welcomed.
You must possess MRCPCH or equivalent, and will be a registered medical practitioner on, or eligible to join, the Specialist Register for Paediatrics within six months of the date of the Appointments Committee. CCT in paediatric gastroenterology or evidence of equivalent training / experience is essential.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Locum Consultant in Haematology to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) as maternity leave cover. Main duties of the job
The post will be based at the Cumberland Infirmary but working as an integrated service covering West Cumberland Hospital. The successful applicant will complement our team of existing haematologists and nurses, together providing level 2A Clinical Haematology care for NCIC patients.
About us
The team currently consists of Consultant Haematologists who are based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle Monday to Friday. On call cover is currently provided as a joint rota through an SLA with colleagues from neighbouring Trusts.
We have a strong nursing and administrative team who support the medical team. There is a Haematology laboratory on both the Cumberland Infirmary and West Cumberland Hospital sites.
Clinical leadership is provided by Dr Roderick Oakes.
Outpatient facilities are provided on both the Cumberland Infirmary site and the West Cumberland Hospital site.
Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides Oncology, parenteral chemotherapy and radiotherapy services via a combination of on-site and remote cover, including at the newly purpose-built Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbria, on the Cumberland Infirmary site, and at the Henderson Suite within West Cumberland Hospital.

Job summary

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work alongside Senior Medical Secretaries, and other Clinical Administrators, carrying out secretarial duties which will include, but are not limited to; data entry, making and receiving telephone calls, clinical and non-clinical typing, use of the hospital patient administration system, co-ordination of patient's records/test results, co-ordination of outpatient clinics, diary management.
The successful candidate will provide direct support to a team of Consultants and Specialist Nurses, ensuring effective diary management and ensuring clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner. Processing of referrals and direct patient enquiries is also a requirement of the role, communicating with Carers and multi-disciplinary teams as per clinical requirement. Management of patient tracking lists and accurate recording of RTT pathways will be required, amongst other necessary task such as attending MDT meetings and recording outcomes when asked.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to lead in the development of the clinical MR physics service within Newcastle and the North-East and North Cumbria region. You will work alongside the section lead for MR and Ultrasound Physics and other members of the MR physics team in shaping the MR physics service that we provide to a diverse range of NHS and non-NHS MR services, including specialist neurosciences, cardiothoracic, radiotherapy and children's MR departments. We're looking for an MR clinical scientist with significant experience in the provision of clinical support to MR services, including complex safety support, service development and teaching. Main duties of the job
The post-holder will perform gait analysis assessments, including 3D motion capture on patients in a clinical gait lab environment and report these investigations clinically to aid treatment planning. Job summary
The post offers excellent exposure to high volume, complex trauma within a regional Major Trauma Centre, with opportunities to develop operative experience and independent decision making in preparation for consultant practice. The RVI manages both paediatric and adult trauma, treating around 100 open fractures per year and 30-40 pelvic injuries. The unit also offers exposure to limb reconstruction, including circular frame application and management with opportunities for hands on involvement in deformity correction, bone loss, and complex trauma reconstruction.

Main duties of the job
Clinical:o Operative management of a wide range of orthopaedic trauma cases with a mixture of supervised and independent operating.o Contribution to trauma rounds, complex trauma clinic and weekly trauma MDT meeting.
Administrative:o Accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation and operative records.o Active participation in service development, clinical governance, and audit activities.
Research:

The Regional Rehabilitation and Mobility Service (RREMS) provides clinical engineering expertise to 12 wheelchair services across the North-east of England and North Cumbria. In addition to this post, the team comprises 12 Clinical Technologist in Rehabilitation Engineering, 2 Rehabilitation Engineering Technologists and 6 administrative staff. This position is based at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
The responsibilities of RREMS Clinical Technologists include undertaking engineering modifications to wheelchairs, specifying and providing powered wheelchairs, and providing the technical, biomechanical and safety related input to multidisciplinary wheelchair service teams. RREMS Clinical Technologists specialise in the provision of Rehabilitation Engineering which is the clinical application of engineering principles and technology within the aim to restoring or improving the physical, mental and social wellbeing of 70000 NHS wheelchair users (of which approx. 4000 have powered wheelchairs) and their carers to their maximum potential.
Applications are invited from candidates with a degree level qualification or have equivalent experience in an appropriate discipline and have demonstrable relevant experience having completed a recognised engineering or technical apprenticeship or training course. In addition, the post holder will be required to be enrol onto IPEM Clinical Technologist Training Scheme, which will result in professional registered as a Clinical Technologist with RCT or AHCS.
RREMS Clinical Technologists work independently, or as part of multidisciplinary teams, providing specialist engineering services and technical knowledge enabling patient care.

Job summary
This role is very fast paced with a wide variety of different tasks on a daily basis. This involves a lot of phone calls and general administration duties and also face to face patient contact as a receptionist where there can be numerous different clinics running at one time. You will need to organise and prioritise workload effectively in conjunction with other team members.
The Newcastle Breast Screening Service currently provides breast cancer screening by mammography once every 3 years for a catchment population of approximately 150,000 women between the ages of 50 and 70 who are resident in Northumberland, Newcastle, North Tyneside and Derwentside.
The service is part of the National Breast Screening Programme, which utilises a complex, computerised call/recall system operated in conjunction with systems situated in the relevant PCTs, Care Trusts, and Tyne and Wear Contractor Services Agency. The service utilises 4 mobile screening units covering 16 sites throughout the catchment area, and one static unit.

Main duties of the job
Operate the National Breast Screening System efficiently on a daily basis. Making and changing appointments over the telephone. Accurately entering complex clinical information. Monitor the efficient running of the service on a daily basis by co-ordinating and prioritising clerical duties. Ensure that the team works to the departmental Quality Management protocols and maintains the National Quality Assurance standards. Operate other computer systems, e.g. PAS, RIS when required in the department. To provide clerical support for the breast symptomatic service. Provide a pleasant, welcoming and efficient reception service at both screening and assessment clinics, recognising the need for tact and empathy when dealing with difficult situations involving distressed or anxious clients/patients and relatives.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join our successful Project Delivery team within the Digital and Technology Services [DATS] Directorate.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who will be depended upon to deliver the overall management and optimal delivery of multiple digital projects. They will be responsible for the full project life cycle with a significant focus on change management and service modernisation.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and driven to see projects through to completion with a desire to deliver high standards. A solid understanding of managing technology projects in a large organisation is essential to fulfil the role.
In this role, you will be joining a successful delivery team, working on a variety of challenging and innovative projects that focus on improving patient care and delivering efficiencies throughout the Trust. The role will report to a Senior Project Manager and will work closely with a range of stakeholders.
The Project Manager role is key to the success of the DATS delivery programme and is accountable for the coordination, implementation and control of assigned projects. The role will matrix-manage their project teams to ensure projects are delivered to the agreed quality expectations, on time and within budget.
We are looking for a well-organised, highly innovative candidate with excellent communication skills and a desire to deliver fast-paced change.
