We are looking to recruit a highly enthusiastic motivated individual to join our well established team in Pharmacy Technical Services to work within the overlabelling and repackaging service.
The MHRA licenced 'Specials' pharmacy manufacturing unit is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and is a modern purpose built unit within the hospital. The service encompasses aseptic, chemotherapy and pre-pack (over labelling and repackaging products) supplying both the Trust and external organisations. As a department we constantly strive to re-engineer our services to improve our delivery of patient focused pharmaceutical care and customer satisfaction.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Production Officer to work with our team in Pharmacy Technical Services.
The successful candidate will work within our overlabelling and repackaging unit and will be required to set up and prepare medicines made within Pharmacy Technical Services. The post holder will be expected to understand and follow standard operating procedures.The role includes undertaking relevant training, both external and internal in aspects of Pharmacy Services and associated technical activities and once trained you will act as a releasing officer under the terms of the MHRA licence.
In addition, the post holder will be required to assist with the operation and maintenance of quality systems ensuring compliance with the terms of the MHRA Manufacturing "Specials" Licence regarding all manufacturing processes.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to Join our team in ward 201 at The Cancer centre.
You must have a passion for oncology and haematology and be able to demonstrate good knowledge of Oncological and Haematological emergencies.
The possession of the SACT passport is essential.
The ideal candidate will have considerable clinical skills and be enthusiastic to develop their knowledge further to ensure a high standard of care is given to every patient in our care .
You must be familiar with the UKONS triage tool
Good understanding of effective patient flow with other emergency portals within the Trust
You will need to have excellent organisational skills and experience of leadership

We have an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join our friendly team at Leighton Hospital. Working with the Mortuary Manager you will have responsibility for delivering a full range of mortuary activities and take personal responsibility for the undertaking of all duties related to admission, identification and safe storage of deceased bodies for post mortem examination in accordance with the service procedures.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to recruit an engineer to support the existing teams working within Clinical Technology. The successful applicant must have an engineering background, ideally with experience in engineering and maintenance. The successful applicant must hold a valid full UK manual driving licence.
The department of Clinical Technology provides a comprehensive medical equipment management and maintenance service to the University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM) and external healthcare bodies. Based at both the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital sites, the department consists of multidisciplinary teams of medical engineers, including renal, general medical, imaging, critical care and medical gasses, which provide medical equipment maintenance and support to services across the organisation and to other local healthcare providers.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the day-to-day operation of the newly established Beds Team within Clinical Technology, contributing to the safe availability, movement, and upkeep of hospital beds and associated equipment across the Trust.
Working under the direction of the Beds Team Leader and senior technical staff, the role will provide practical and logistical support to the beds maintenance service. This will include assisting with the preparation, checking, cleaning coordination, transportation, and return of beds to clinical areas, helping to ensure timely availability and patient safety.
The post holder will support routine checks, basic fault identification, asset labelling, and accurate updating of records on the clinical asset management system, escalating issues promptly to technical staff where required. The role will involve regular interaction with ward and department staff, requiring good communication and a customer-focused approach.
This role will also contribute to governance by following agreed procedures, supporting audits and stock checks, and maintaining a safe and tidy working environment. Training and supervision will be provided to develop skills and understanding of medical device safety, with the role forming an important foundation within the Beds Team and wider Clinical Technology service.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer in the stores and distribution area. You will join our dedicated team delivering ward services at University Hospital of North Midlands.
We are looking for a flexible, highly motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic person to provide a pharmaceutical service to our in-patients and out-patients.
You must have excellent organisational and communication skills and you will need to be able to work effectively with the existing team both at ward level and within the pharmacy directorate. You will need to be methodical, accurate and be able to follow strict procedures.
Main duties of the job
The role is varied and will include:
- Telephone duties which includes answering queries and taking adhoc orders
- Assembly of orders for distribution to wards and dispensaries, the receipt of medicines for onward supply to wards and departments

- Maintaining stock storage and levels and adhering to good distribution practice

We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist ready to step into this advanced role, who can embrace the challenges and opportunities of working in an acute trust environment. This is a 12-month secondment to cover maternity leave.
The acute medicine therapies team works across a wide range of specialities including cardiology, endocrinology and gastroenterology. We cover 7 wards, facilitating discharge planning and providing rehabilitative care.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic team member who has a specialist interest in acute medicine. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 4 years' NHS experience and ideally will also have previous experience working across medicine and the acute sector.
As an advanced occupational therapist, the successful candidate will be expected to provide clinical leadership, service development[JU1] and education to the team, comprising of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and technical instructors. They will have a leading role in our student education and will also be able to foster good links and working relationships with the wider multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop innovative ways of working and consolidate their leadership and management skills as well as overseeing the implementation of clinical audit recommendations and facilitation of service development.
Therapy Services work within a 7-day shift system therefore the post holder will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.
Supervision will be provided by Principal Therapists and continuous development is supported through appraisal, internal training and external learning.

The role will include facilitating the delivery of commercial and non-commercial research trials in Oncology within the Research department/division, and to integrate with the existing research team to further develop skills within research, contributing to improving and changing the future care of patients
We are seeking a confident and experienced senior registered healthcare professional, with experience in Oncology Research to act as an ambassador for promoting research utilisation and best practice, as well as liaising with all healthcare and research professionals to provide the best possible specialist care for their patients within the division, and wider specialities when needed.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work as an Oncology Lead Research Practitioner within an established management team, which involves recruiting patient participants into clinical trials, carrying out trial activity in line with the ethically approved protocol and in accordance with legislation. You will provide leadership skills and specialist knowledge to manage the running of oncology clinical research trials, support allied healthcare professionals and staff members to deliver on a wide range of clinical trials. You will be responsible for meeting the clinical research delivery of oncology related trials, and for continuing, supporting and raising recruitment into a wide range of NIHR portfolio studies, including commercial and non-commercial studies. You will work closely within the multi-disciplinary and interact with the wider research team, ensuring a smooth delivery of care to patients entered into clinical trials.

We are looking for an individual to undertake a Technical Instructor post within the Medicine Therapy Team at the University Hospital of North Midlands. The post offers the opportunity to work in an exciting University Hospital. The post will work within acute wards across UHNM sites: Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital.
The successful candidate should have experience of working within a healthcare environment and an understanding of Therapy interventions. The post holder will also be expected to complete competencies in both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
Supervision will be provided by the Band 5/6/7 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist and personal development is supported through appraisal and internal and external training.
Main duties of the job
Therapy Services work within a 7 day shift system therefore there is a requirement to work weekends and bank holidays.

Are you an experienced Senior Nurse looking for an opportunity to utilise your proven leadership skills alongside patient clinical assessment and acute care delivery? If so, this unique role is for you.
The Acute Care at Home service is a partnership between the University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM), University Hospital of Derby and Burton (UHDB), Royal Wolverhampton Trust (RWT) and Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust (MPFT). The successful applicants will join an integrated, collaboratively focused team, employing proactive clinical practice and knowledge, toprovide clinical assessment, monitoring and support, as part of our urgent carepathways.
The post holder is required to hold a non-medical/supplementary prescribing qualification. However, applications will also be considered from clinically experienced applicants with the relevant skillset currently undertaking the course or willing to undertake on appointment within the first 12 months.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an experienced Acute Care nurse with proven team leadership skills and clinical competence to deliver direct care to a wide range of patients. They will incorporate independent non-medical prescribing, physical health assessment, diagnostic testing and interpretation. They will formulate tailored treatment plans in conjunction with the Ward Consultant, to provide safe, seamless care to patients recovering from a wide range of illnesses in a community setting.
They will act as the shift lead working closely with the Matrons and nurse coordinators, acting as a professional role model to provide clinical leadership, support and guidance to the Virtual Ward team and ensuring full clinical oversight of quality and safety.
They will initiate, manage and drive change in practice for the benefit of patient care and service development in line with local and national policy and the NHS People Plan. They will take an active role to ensure that evidence-based practice is maintained to deliver the Virtual ward agenda supporting earlier discharge from hospital and admission avoidance.
In addition, they will hold delegated managerial responsibilities under the supervision of the Matrons and provide ongoing support to junior members of the team, participating in induction and training programmes.
