Important information for applicants: To ensure clarity of accountability, scope of practice and professional responsibilities, the Trust does not normally appoint individuals holding active NMC or HCPC registration into Band 2 Clinical/AHP Support Worker, Band 3 Senior Clinical/AHP Support Worker or Band 4 AHP Support Worker/Technician roles. Registered nurses and Allied Health Professionals interested in joining UHNM are encouraged to explore our registered professional opportunities, which are advertised regularly across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.
Successful applicants who fulfil the essential qualifications/skills on the person specification/job description will be shortlisted and offered an interview for the Nurse Bank.
Candidates must have 6 months experience working in a care environment (nursing home etc within the last 5 years) with a Care Certificate and you must have level 1 in Maths and English, please ensure this is identified in your application form and you will be required to produce your certificates prior to booking an interview.
We provide a full corporate induction, local area induction and supernumerary shifts to help you settle in if you have not worked in an acute trust for some time. Lots of in-house training is available for your personal development.

The successful candidate will be required to support the Medical Secretarial Team in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service, outline new and efficient processes and inpatient and outpatient waiting list management for our speciality, in accordance with the Patient Access Policy. You will be required to communicate appointments and admission related information to patients and carers along with answering queries both verbally and written, and typing correspondence within performance targets as appropriate, and supporting in the delivery of the local and national NHS targets, while supporting with the management and utilisation of clinics within your area.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Perfusionist position within the Clinical Perfusion Department at UHNM.
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Clinical Perfusion Scientist to join our dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This is a pivotal role that supports excellence in clinical perfusion services, education, and innovation. You will bring clinical expertise and mentorship to a team that values compassion, safety, and continual improvement. The successful applicant will have full UK registration with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists and have at least three years experience post qualification or is able to demonstrate suitable exposure.

Main duties of the job
To clinically manage and control the temporary replacement of a patient's cardiopulmonary function to enable cardiac surgery and to support that function during other interventions.To operate auxiliary equipment for the benefit of patient safety and the effectiveness of clinical outcome. Main duties of the job
This post sits in the Capital Procurement team and is based at New Cross Hospital site, reporting to the Capital Support Buyer. The role is directly responsible for the RWT and UHNM Capital FF&E schemes and all procurement requirements that meet the capital definition.

In this vital support role, you'll work alongside Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners at the new CDC and across our four existing community sites. The team operates seven X-ray rooms across five locations in North Staffordshire, including:

Main duties of the job

At the start of your interview time slot, you will be required to sit the UHNM Maths & English test (Total of 6 questions) and need to gain 6/6 to proceed to the formal interview.
You will have 15 minutes to complete the test. If a candidate has any additional needs which includes learning difficulties such as dyslexia, the time can be doubled to 30 minutes. If this is the case, you will need to let the interview panel know prior to your test starting that additional time is required.
Qualification evidence

There are in excess of 10 echo rooms at Royal Stoke & County Hospitals which provide a full range of services including, TTE, TOE, DSE, GUCH, contrast and support for structural work in the interventional labs. The service also supports one-stop clinics for heart valve disease, oncology, heart failure and inherited cardiac conditions.
Main duties of the job
The Heart Centre at UHNM provides tertiary cardiology and cardiothoracic surgical services for over 2 million people across Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire and South Cheshire, as well as secondary care cardiology for the local population.
The successful applicants will join the established and prominent consultant, nursing and technical team, and will have every opportunity to participate in continuing the development and success of the service.
The successful candidate will be BSE accredited, or working towards BSE accreditation and looking to further develop their skills. This department has a strong track record for developing extended roles such as physiologist or scientist led heart valve surveillance clinics, Herceptin echo clinics, stress echo and TOE, which have been established for a number of years. the team are currently developing echocardiographers within the the heart failure unit. Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be based at County Hospital . As provision of care is in an outpatient setting of a 12 station unit, you will be required to work 7.5 or 12hour shifts days over a 6 day working week.
As well as completing the role as a Band 2 clinical support worker on the satellite haemodialysis unit your role will include the below duties found in the main duties section.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 4 dental nurse to further their dental career joining a friendly, highly skilled team in a multi disciplinary setting. The successful applicant will nurse in all disciplines within the department, Oral Maxillofacial, Orthodontics & Restorative. To be flexible to work across both Trust sites where necessary. The appointee will be part of a team of four Consultant Microbiologists based at Royal Stoke University Hospital (University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust) and a Consultant Microbiologists based at Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust who collectively provide a comprehensive clinical Microbiology / ID service to the Trusts served by the NMCPS.

The clinical microbiology duties are well organised and there are several ward rounds/ MDTs each week.

The laboratory is fully accredited by UKAS accreditation against ISO 15189 and participates in all relevant EQA schemes.

Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Clinical Support Worker for the Children's Emergency Department at Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke.
The post is to assist, support and work in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide a safe and holistic approach to person-centred care.
The primary role of a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker is to assist, support and work in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and the wider multidisciplinary team; in order to provide a safe and holistic approach to person-centred care.
The Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker should actively contribute to the health and well-being of patients, staff and service users and be able to communicate effectively with sensitivity and compassion.
