An opportunity has arisen for a post Band 2 Health Care Support Worker, within the Main Outpatients Department.
The successful candidate will work in Main Outpatients Department, which involves working in a Main clinic area, assisting Registered Nurses / Medical team with Adult patients. Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment. Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses and undertake patient care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management.
Following an agreed level of training, the successful candidate will be required to work during Monday to Friday (Hours to be negotiated).
Main duties of the job
Assist the registered nurse/practitioner to deliver a high standard of holistic patient care, ensuring that the patients` dignity and equality is maintained at all times.
Ensure the principles set out in the fundamentals of care are incorporated into daily practice to ensure high quality service for patients and clients.
Assist the patients to maintain their own hygiene and personal appearance.
To perform duties within the plan of care delegated by a qualified practitioner, only for which he/she has the relevant training and assessment.
Prepare ward/clinical area for receiving patients by ensuring area is generally clean and tidy - assist in maintaining the standards in the clinical area and report any untidiness/clutter to the appropriate person.
Assist in the admission of new patients into the department by preparing bed/trolley area, welcoming patient, directing to bed/other area, showing patient around the ward.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job summary
This advert is for a Locum (Maternity leave cover) Consultant post for 9 months within the Hepatology Service at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The postholder will have a specific focus on Viral Hepatitis and the South East London (SEL) Viral Hepatitis Operational Delivery Network (ODN) which is hosted here at King's. The ODNs form a national framework of networks specialist commissioned to deliver on the Hepatitis C Elimination Programme and recently expanded to also include Hepatitis B. In addition, the individual will be the clinical lead for the Community Liver Health Checks workstream across SEL and wider Liver Surveillance initiatives being driven by South East London Cancer Alliance and overseen by the ODN.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established programme driving delivery of national, regional and local priorities, including the NHS 10 Year Plan (2025) and NHS Cancer Plan (2026). This role supports the shift from hospital to community, advances prevention through earlier diagnosis of liver disease, and tackles health inequalities by improving access to hepatitis and liver health surveillance for underserved communities.
Main duties of the job
As well as acting as key member of the Hepatology and Viral Hepatitis multi-disciplinary team at King's, the post holder will support the ODN Programme Manager in overseeing and implementing Viral Hepatitis Elimination initiatives in SEL. This includes, but is not limited to:o Building and maintaining effective relationships with clinical leads across SEL in particular at spoke sites and GP Champions leading on the primary care elimination workstream.o Providing specialist input and guidance for projects and pieces of work within the programme.o Representing the ODN at regional and national meetings, alongside the Programme Manager and providing regular update reports both internally and externally as required.
They will also provide clinical leadership and oversight of both the SEL Community Liver Health Checks (CLHC) project and the SEL Liver Surveillance projects underway with the South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA).

Job summary
The Division of Neurology at The Walton Centre wishes to appoint to the intermediate tier of Rehabilitation Medicine. This is an existing post created from the Merseyside QIPP Board establishing a Rehabilitation work stream, recognising the need for a comprehensive and integrated response to the rehabilitation needs of patients experiencing a sudden and devastating loss of function following an acute event such as major trauma, amputation, subarachnoid haemorrhage, encephalitis, or an episode of significant illness requiring an extended stay on critical care etc. As all the posts will make use of the extensive training opportunities available within the Hub - Walton Centre. This post will suit anyone wanting to gain wide experience of Rehabilitation Medicine, whilst continuing to use some of their current skills such as acute/general medicine, general surgery, trauma, neurology.
WCFT has been identified to provide the hub service, on the basis in part of existing provision (30 level 1 neuro-rehabilitation beds).
Overall co-ordination of the access and management of the patient pathway through the service is via a centralised clinical management team. Each hub and spoke unit have dedicated Rehabilitation Consultants. All appointees must be eligible for full medical registration, with a licence to practice. Preference will be given to applicants having certificated levels of competence.
Main duties of the job
1. Medical supervision of day-to-day operation of the unit:
a) recognition and appropriate management of acutely ill patients, initiating treatment and/or requesting specialised help as required.
b) Effective liaison with other specialities to ensure the acute and chronic medical needs of all patients are met.
c) Independent ward rounds
d) working in coordinated way with MDT
e) coordination of arrangements for safe periods of weekend leave
f) responsibility for ensuring decisions made at consultant ward round and at MDT meeting are timely enacted
g) responsibility for ensuring collation and availability of results and other information required for consultant ward rounds and MDT meetings.
2. Attendance at consultant ward round and MDT meeting.
3. Provide cover for the Registrars for short periods of absence from the unit. When the Registrar is away on leave, effective daily communication with the consultant responsible.
4. Communication and liaison with family, GPs and other consultants. Completion and signing of MDT discharge summaries on in-patients on the unit.

Assess, review and complete wound care for patients.

Providing holistic assessment of patients' needs making onward referrals where required.
Ensure safeguarding needs are met and escalated where indicated.
Supporting junior staff and students in achieving their learning outcomes.

Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our innovative, supportive team in Epping.
The successful candidate will deliver specialist stroke and neurological speech and language therapy as a member of the Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team, providing care to adult patients who have had a recent stroke or are diagnosed with a neurological condition as part of the specialist in-patient service (Beech Ward, St Margarets Hospital) and Early Supported Discharge Team (community). The caseload will include in-patient, domiciliary and clinic based activity, with a focus on stroke rehabilitation.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based at St Margaret's Hospital, Epping but will be required to provide services across West Essex.
The successful candidate will deliver person centred, goals-focused assessment and intervention to an adult stroke and neurology caseload, both within the inpatient unit and in patients' own homes.
The successful candidate will assist in service development, including supervision of more junior colleagues, supporting students on placement, and delivering education and training programmes to the multidisciplinary team.
There are regular opportunities for continuing professional development both within the team and through meetings and engagement with speech and language therapy teams within EPUT and also at PAH. We have access to regular videofluoroscopy clinics at PAH with the plan to develop a jointly run clinic in the near future.

The Community Respiratory Support Worker provides practical, person-centred support to adults living with respiratory conditions within the community. Our Care Coordinators are an essential part of the practice. They are often the first point of contact for our patients and play an important role in ensuring patients receive the right support and are directed to the most appropriate service or healthcare professional.

Job summary
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in fertility to join our team, based at Yeovil District Hospital.
This is a substantive 10 PA post combining a general Obstetrics and Gynaecology role at Yeovil with a cross-county fertility remit. The successful candidate will provide fertility clinics across both Yeovil District Hospital and Musgrove Park Hospital, working closely with our Fertility Nurse Specialist and endometriosis team to support a joined-up fertility service across Somerset.
The role will include assessment and management of subfertility, fertility ultrasound and follicular tracking, ovulation induction and monitoring, appropriate investigation of tubal and uterine factors, and counselling and onward referral for assisted conception where required. The post holder will also contribute to the development, governance and quality improvement of fertility services across the county.
Alongside this specialist work, you will contribute to general obstetric and gynaecological care at Yeovil, including outpatient, theatre and emergency activity, and participate in the consultant 1:8 on-call rota.

*Provide high quality obstetric and gynaecological care across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings within Yeovil Hospital and Musgrove Park Hospital.

*Lead and support general gynaecology clinics, antenatal clinics, day surgery and elective caesarean lists.

Locum Band 3 Genomic Assistant (Cancer Triage)
The Oxford Centre for Genomic Medicine is seeking a collegiate, organised and compassionate individual to join our Cancer Triage service as a Genomic Assistant. The successful post holder will play a pivotal support role in helping our service prepare and assess patients' risk for hereditary cancer prior to appointment with a Genetic Counsellor/Clinical Geneticist or a letter from a Senior Genomics Nurse.
The post holder will be key in coordinating referrals and quality assessing medical family history diagrams, arranging blood samples for DNA storage, and requesting relevant medical documents from hospitals and the UK Cancer Registry in accordance with GDPR and guidance from the British Society for Genomic Medicine.
The post is ideal for an individual who wishes to develop towards becoming a Genomic Practitioner, and potentially more senior clinical positions in clinical genetics accordance with career progression regulations and guidance published on AGNC, GCRAB and NSHCS websites. However, this post does not lead to registration as a Genetic Counsellor with either the HCPC or AHCS.
Full time- Monday to Friday Office hours
Main duties of the job
* Drawing and/or quality checking medical family history drawings using software (Pedigree assistant/Phenotips) based on patient provided information.
* Organising DNA storage for patients or their relatives with advanced cancer
* Under direct supervision of a Senior Genomic Nurse, requesting medical confirmations of cancer diagnoses from pathology laboratories, medical records and the UK cancer registry in accordance with GDPR and the British Society for Genomic Medicine

You will be joining the Hospital Customer Service team covering national customer service issues. This is an exciting opportunity to use your transfusion and biomedical science knowledge to make a difference to the support, services and components NHSBT provides to hospital transfusion teams.You will identify trends, insights and key messages producing clear and engaging reports that tell a story to support service improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to use your transfusion and biomedical science knowledge to make a difference to the support, services and components NHSBT provides to hospital transfusion teams. You will identify trends, insights and key messages producing clear and engaging reports that tell a story to support service improvement. To do this you will focus on analysing and interpreting complex data from a range of sources, including customer complaints, surveys, credits, compliments and other feedback, using your well-developed IT skills. You will work primarily with NHSBT colleagues with some contact with hospital transfusion staff.
You will be involved in national and regional projects as a transfusion specialist and advocate for hospitals and their patients. The role involves working independently on a range of tasks and projects, with direction, oversight and support from the Projects and Customer Insights Manager.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about working with a range of patients who experience eating disorders (some of whom are difficult to engage). The post is part-time (22.5 hours per week).
The role involves a range of supportive tasks including direct clinical contact with service users; co-facilitating groups; offering support and motivation to patients on their recovery journey.

The post is aimed for Docter interested in Fetal-Maternal Medicine or High-risk pregnancy. Much Wenlock & Cressage Medical Practice, a member of Our Health Partnership, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team.
This role offers 18 hours per week over two days and is ideal for a team player who is committed to delivering excellent reception and administrative support to patients and colleagues.
