All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. Main duties of the job
You will need enthusiasm, kindness, compassion, and confidence as you will be expected to work with a diverse set of acutely unwell people who each require an individual holistic approach to meet their day-to-day care needs. Daily responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and recording of baseline observations for all patients under your daily allocation (blood pressure / temperature / pulse etc.).
- Escalation of issues to relevant registered member of staff (Nurse, doctor etc.) related to acute deterioration of patient's conditions.
- Provision of care to meet individual holistic requirements of all patients under your daily allocation including personal care, continence assistance and meal time assistance.
- Cleaning of equipment and ward areas as and when required.
- Procurement and handling of clinical samples / swabs.
We will provide uniform and an initial training course to deliver the skills you will need to work in a busy hospital. If you meet the criteria for the shortened induction this will include a eight-hour theory session followed by a minimum of two six-hour supervised shifts working on a ward.

As Consultant you will be joining a dynamic team of Neuroradiologists at a regional tertiary neurosciences centre providing the full range of subspecialty diagnostic neuroradiology work, including trauma and stroke. The diagnostic work covers all ED neuro (brain and cervical spine) CTs, all in-patient neuro and most of the neurosurgical and neurological out-patients, together with some spine MRIs that are performed within the General Radiology department. There are additional close links with Paediatric Neurologists, Stroke Physicians, Oncologists, Endocrinologists, Ophthalmic, ENT and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Consultant Obstetricians and fetal medicine sub-specialists and Neuropsychiatrists. Approximately 26 Multidisciplinary / Clinico-Neuroradiology meetings take place on site on a regular basis, covering a wide range of sub-specialities. The department has well-established Clinico-Radiological interaction, multidisciplinary meetings and a significant research output.

The overall purpose of this role is to:
Work as a member of the Gastroenterology IBD Admin team and take a major role in the day to day running of the IBD Service
Manage and triage the IBD Nursing Advice line to include collection of patient records and details of requests to be passed to the nursing team.
Book and manage the IBD Nurse Clinics including telemed, face to face and virtual clinics. Check patients in and out, and book follow up appointments as required.
Contribute to smooth, efficient, and effective general running of the IBD Nursing office.
Liaise effectively with other administration and clinical staff and communicate with patients and their relatives.
Assist clinical staff, non-clinical staff and patients with any queries and any other ad-hoc tasks, which may be required.
Provide admin support to the IBD Multi-Disciplinary Team meeting.

- Retrieve phone messages and emails to the IBD specialist nurse advice line and accurately transcribe onto the spreadsheet and patients record, to enable the nursing team to call the patients back.

Main duties of the job

General Description of the PostThis post will be for a consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics, with expertise in complex trauma and foot and anklesurgery. The post will be for 10 PAs. Daytime elective work can be scheduled at both hospital sites, but is almost always undertaken at the Lewisham hospital site due to the number of operating theatres on this site. Trauma activity can be scheduled at both sites. Proven competency in trauma and lower limb surgery will be required. This post is important to the Trust to ensure the continuation of our excellent and busy Orthopaedic Service and support the 18-weeks target.The successful candidates would join the existing team of 20 substantive consultants at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

RIS is a fully virtual service, covering the Wessex region (Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight), offering a cancer fast-track pathway to patients experiencing non site-specific symptoms which might be explained by an underlying diagnosis of cancer.
In conjunction with the senior nursing team and GP colleagues, you will be responsible for triaging referrals, completing a full patient history via the telephone, deciding on most appropriate next steps, and coordinating care as appropriate.
You will be responsible for independently presenting your patients at the virtual MDT, and making onward referrals where required.
The successful candidate will be given full training to enable a rapid and seamless approach, so that all patients are cared for as effectively and efficiently as possible. You will be well supported in this role.Please note: proficient typing skills are essential, and will be tested at interview. Owing to service demand and a small team you must be able to commit to working on both a Monday and a Friday.
The Rapid Investigation Service team are based off-site at Aldermoor Health Centre (half a mile from the main hospital site).
You will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone. Once fully trained, there will be the opportunity for flexible working from home at times. The service requires cover from Monday to Friday, and your shift pattern will need to reflect the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

Youll receive comprehensive training to develop practical healthcare skills, including donor screening, venepuncture and donor care. Every day is different as you travel to donor sessions, work alongside healthcare professionals and help ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and donor experience. The role involves working a variety of hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays but no night shifts! You will be working on a shift basis but, the normal hours for this role are 3 days per week/ 6 days per fortnight.
Main duties of the job
Help deliver a safe, caring and positive donation experience by welcoming and supporting donors throughout their visit.
Learn and develop practical healthcare skills, including donor health screening, venepuncture and post-donation care.
Work as part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality donor care and service excellence.
Maintain accurate donor records and support the safe handling, reconciliation and transportation of blood products and samples.
Encourage donors to return and continue making a lifesaving difference through regular donation appointments.
Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, infection prevention and regulatory compliance.
Support continuous improvement by contributing ideas, embracing new ways of working and participating in training and development opportunities.
Travel to different donation venues and help set up, operate and pack down equipment to ensure sessions run smoothly and efficiently.

Main duties of the job
This is a full-time position comprising of 10 programmed activities (PA's) based at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust NHS Trust. As per trust guidance a minimum of 1.5 PAs are dedicated to SPAs. You will be expected to participate in a minimum of 1 in 12 acute oncology service cover including weekend rounds and off site cover at night. On call duties are supported by an Oncology SpR. Appropriate dedicated specialist nursing and administrative and operational support will also be provided.
All members of the consultant team would be expected to undertake the following weekly routines:
Two Inpatient ward rounds for your named patients
Cancer site specific MDTs
New Patient and Follow Up clinics.
Supporting resident junior medical staff with training.
AOS rounds (when undertaking on call weeks)
Chemotherapy prescribing

Brent Ward provides 28-specialist Oncology inpatient beds and is supported by resident junior doctors and a team of specialist nurses. There is also an assessment area located on Brent Ward to facilitate direct admissions as well as elective procedures.
The Chemotherapy Day Case Unit currently has 24 treatment chairs and 3 side rooms and is in Fal Ward. Plans are in place to move this unit to a new ward, closer to our outpatient and radiotherapy suite.
The Oncology Research Department and a Macmillan Cancer Support Centre are also located within the Oncology Centre. The latter offering a complete package of supportive care including complementary therapies, counselling, and financial advice.
Our offices and outpatient clinics are collocated with our Radiotherapy and Radiation Physics Team in a dedicated part of the trust main building.
Staff facilities
There is a dedicated Staff Support Hub, which pulls together a range of resources and materials to help colleagues. This is designed to help find information quickly to support staff health and wellbeing. There are four areas within the Support Hub which each contain more detail and further links to advice and guidance on the different Psychological, Financial,Physical and Professional support available to all.
The successful candidate will be provided with dedicated office space, their own desk and allocated a medical secretary to support patient administration.
