Main duties of the job

The successful candidates must be pro-active and flexible in their approach to working within this busy department and other areas in the Stores and Distribution Services and have excellent organisational skills.
Why you should join our TeamThese posts will involve working with a small team of Band 2 Pharmacy Support workers, training to pick and assemble ward stock orders in the Warehouse and also when necessary learning how to Top-up wards with stock medication, delivering and putting the stock away for the ward or department.
This also includes working with the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution supervisors, Team leaders and managers.
For all posts, this will involve working across ALL sites at Leeds Teaching Hospitals as required.
Please be aware that for all posts there is a significant amount of walking and moving and handling, including bulk consignments.
The post holder will be required to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis.

We have a 37.5 hour post within the Mental Health & Learning Disability Division for a Medical Secretary based in Plas Gororau, Wrexham.

Main duties of the job
Working hours are predominantly between 07:30am to 3.00pm and over 2 days on flexible rotation, which will involve some weekend work and various shift patterns including early and late shifts as the service requires. Likely to be more late shifts than early shifts. The pay rate will increase for all hours worked on a Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays.

There are approximately 900 cardiac surgical cases carried out at the JR with a full range of adult procedures with the exception of transplantation. Additionally, there are over 500 thoracic cases with many complex and high-risk cases requiring intensive care / HDU support post-operatively. There are established aortic and mitral surgical programs which include minimally invasive mitral and complex aortic operations.
Cardiology procedures requiring anaesthetic support include ablation, complex device insertion and extractions, TAVI and other structural inventions including percutaneous edge to edge valve repair.
The Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit provides both Level 2 and Level 3 care to patients after both cardiac and thoracic surgery and also following emergency and elective Cardiological procedures. The unit receives over 1500 admissions per year. Most are planned admissions, but the unit also receives emergency admissions including those transferred from other hospitals for emergency Cardiothoracic surgery and Cardiothoracic patients who become critically ill on the ward. Emergency admissions also include patients after emergency percutaneous coronary intervention and out of hospital arrest.
CTCCU patients receive a full range of organ support procedures including ventricular assist devices, VA ECMO, Impella and haemofiltration.
Clinical
This post is in Cardiothoracic Intensive care with or without another specialty. You will provide care for adult cardiothoracic and cardiology patients on the Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit the John Radcliffe. This care includes direct care of admissions, leading ward rounds, follow-up outpatient clinics and consultations on relevant critically ill inpatients. For applicants from an anaesthesia background, there is the opportunity to provide anaesthesia for cardiac surgical, thoracic surgical and cardiological procedures depending upon expertise and the needs of the service. Applicants with a CCT in another specialty will be able to perform clinical duties in that specialty subject to arrangement with the relevant specialty.
The work pattern on the Cardiothoracic Critical Care is comprised of 12 hour resident day shifts and non-resident overnight on-calls. The unit is therefore covered by dedicated Consultants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; this being divided between a group of 7 consultants. Consultants tend to provide 6-7PAs per week to the Cardiothoracic Critical Care, leaving remaining PAs for associated specialty working (anaesthesia or otherwise) although this is negotiable. The rota is delivered in an annualised way to allow for increased efficiency and flexibility enabling leave to be taken when desired. An indicative job plan is attached below.
Teaching/Research
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust is a teaching hospital trust, and the post-holder will be required to participate in programmes for teaching clinical students, training doctors in training and in clinical examinations. It is expected that this will be an integral part of everyday clinical activity. The post-holders contribution to teaching, training and research will be included in the regular job plan review.
Clinical Governance
The post-holder will participate in all clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, risk management, investigation of patient safety incidents quality improvement activities as required by the Trust, and external accrediting bodies.
Personal and Professional Development
The post-holder will be required to keep themselves fully up-to-date with their relevant area of practice and to be able to demonstrate this to the satisfaction of the Trust. Professional or study leave will be granted at the discretion of the Trust, in line with the prevailing Terms and Conditions of Service, to support appropriate study, postgraduate training activities, relevant CME courses and other appropriate personal development needs. Clinical
This post is in Cardiothoracic Intensive care with or without another specialty. You will provide care for adult cardiothoracic and cardiology patients on the Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit the John Radcliffe. This care includes direct care of admissions, leading ward rounds, follow-up outpatient clinics and consultations on relevant critically ill inpatients. For applicants from an anaesthesia background, there is the opportunity to provide anaesthesia for cardiac surgical, thoracic surgical and cardiological procedures depending upon expertise and the needs of the service. Applicants with a CCT in another specialty will be able to perform clinical duties in that specialty subject to arrangement with the relevant specialty.
The work pattern on the Cardiothoracic Critical Care is comprised of 12 hour resident day shifts and non-resident overnight on-calls. The unit is therefore covered by dedicated Consultants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; this being divided between a group of 7 consultants. Consultants tend to provide 6-7PAs per week to the Cardiothoracic Critical Care, leaving remaining PAs for associated specialty working (anaesthesia or otherwise) although this is negotiable. The rota is delivered in an annualised way to allow for increased efficiency and flexibility enabling leave to be taken when desired. An indicative job plan is attached below.
Teaching/Research
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust is a teaching hospital trust, and the post-holder will be required to participate in programmes for teaching clinical students, training doctors in training and in clinical examinations. Job summary
Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical link workers who give time, focus on what matters to me and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support. Link Workers support existing groups to be accessible and sustainable and help people to start new community groups, working collaboratively with all local partners.
Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing peoples active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a family therapist within our leading-edge adult eating disorder services. The service supports both the direct work with adults and their families on the adult specialist eating disorder unit and supports with the integrated eating disorder care pathways. We are looking for an experienced family therapist who is interested in working in this fascinating area. Please note you do not need to have experience in eating disorders as we will provide support and training to develop this specialist knowledge.
The successful candidate will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team on the ward in the delivery of evidence based psychological systemic therapies.
Main duties of the job
Avalon ward is a 15-bedded unit for adults suffering with severe eating disorders, often at a very low weight and there is a high level of co-morbidity with other conditions. The team is a recovery focused service, working with patients on the goal of discharging safely back to their local community services where they can continue to work towards recovery. The team is made up of nurses, healthcare assistants, psychiatrist, dieticians, occupational therapists, social worker, psychologists and peer support workers.
The ward receives adult patients from both the local Eating Disorders Service as well as from other outpatient services nationally across the UK and Northern Ireland.

Job summary
Come and join our nursing team in Merton CAMHS. We have developed an opportunity for a Nurse Prescriber, with previous CAMHS experience working across our single point of access (SPA) and Tier 3 team, supporting the ADHD pathway.
Merton Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) service provides out-patient and consultation services to children experiencing a range of mental health and developmental difficulties. We are an experienced and supportive team looking for an experienced, enthusiastic nurse to join our friendly team.
The service also includes a Single Point of Access Service which manages all referrals for children and adolescents in Merton where there are concerns about emotional heath/mental health difficulties. The Merton T3 service and the SPA work in close collaboration to ensure positive child and young person journey
Merton CAMHS Tier 3 is a multidisciplinary team specialising in the provision of thoughtful high-quality assessments and evidence-based treatments for children, young people and their families entering the service with moderate to severe mental health problems and with high risk profiles.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a committed and experienced Nurse who is passionate about working with children and young people with complex presentations, and who is also interested wider service development initiatives.

Job summary
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help make a real difference to adults in acute care mental health services in North Wales. This senior post is to provide psychological input and oversight in acute care psychology services in the Ablett Unit, Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Core aims will be to provide psychological leadership for the continued development and delivery of a biopsychosocial MDT for acute care, MDT interventions within adult mental health inpatient settings, and to lead the provision of expert advice, consultation, training and supervision in psychological approaches within these settings with the acute care pathway in mind.
The post holder will provide psychological interventions, staff training, support and supervision within the acute care pathway and inpatient adult mental health units.
The post holder will also be required to provide direct expert psychological clinical input to service users and families.
The post holder will receive professional and line management support from within a friendly and growing AMH Clinical Psychology & Psychological Services Department.

Main duties of the job
- To be an active and integrated member of the inpatient multidisciplinary mental health team.

Job summary
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help make a real difference to Older Adults in acute Older Adult functional and dementia inpatient care in North Wales.
This senior post is to provide psychological input and oversight in acute care Older Adult psychology services in the in BCUHB East area.
Core aims will be to provide psychological leadership for the continued development and delivery of a biopsychosocial MDT for acute Older Adult functional and dementia care, MDT interventions within older adult dementia care inpatient settings, and to lead the provision of expert advice, consultation, training and supervision in psychological approaches within these settings with the acute care pathway in mind.
The post holder will provide psychological interventions, behavioural and neuropsychological assessment, staff training, support and supervision within the acute dementia care pathway in Wrexham and Flintshire. The post holder will also be required to provide direct expert psychological clinical input to service users and families.
There is the potential for this post to be combined with the concurrently advertised Adult Mental Health Acute Care Principal Clinical Psychologist posts. Please enquire if interested in this.
Main duties of the job
- To be an active and integrated member of the inpatient multidisciplinary mental health team.
- To provide a highly specialised clinical psychology service to clients of the sector, providing specialised psychological assessment and therapy to clients, and consultation to staff.
- To work autonomously in accordance with The British Psychological Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles and Guidelines 2004, and Health and Care Professions Council.
- To plan and provide individual, and group interventions, both directly and via the guidance of MDT members.
