Job summary
We have a 37.5-hour Band 3 Team Secretary opportunity available within the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Division, supporting the Single Point of Contact (SPOC)/111#2 Service.
Working as part of the team the post holder will be required to provide an efficient and effective secretarial service to the team, supporting the delivery of a high quality service.
Applicants must be extremely flexible to meet the needs of the service, have a pleasant personality and a positive approach to their work. Applicants must also have a good standard of education, audio typing skills, be adaptable and have good organisational skills.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a key member of the team providing an accurate and confidential administration service, have good, accurate typing skills, and ensure that the specialty maintains efficient filing and recording of information systems. Also support the co-ordination of the administration arrangements to provide a high quality supportive secretarial service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Records Clerk in Central. The medical Records Clerk will be responsible for providing an essential support service in the continuing care of patients, ensuring that the case notes are at the right place at the right time.
The post holder will cover all aspects of the role including, the pulling, filing, pruning, destruction, preparation amalgamation and secure transportation of case notes.
Main duties of the job
The Health Records Clerk will be responsible for providing an essential support service in the continuing care of patients, ensuring that the case notes are at the right place at the right time. To actively promote the vision for the Health Records service working towards a Digital Records future and support the delivery of modernisation plans for Health Records. This will require the post holder to support with the delivery of the Health Records Operational Plan by supporting the Health Records Supervisors/Co-ordinator/ Assistant Site Manager.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To facilitate, monitor and improve care both directly and indirectly.
Supervise practice, carries out clinical audit and develops practice through knowledge of research in conjunction with teaching of professional colleagues.
To provide a consistent approach and share best practice across BCULHB.
The haemodialysis nurse has responsibility for his/her own caseload of patients providing an organisational and support network in the planning, provision, surveillance and monitoring of haemodialysis patients.
The role also includes assisting with adequate staffing levels on the dialysis unit and the dedicated renal ward as required.
Liaise regularly with heamodialysis nurses across BCU.

The role includes developing clinical skills through nurse-led discharge from the ED, providing medications via Patient Group Directives, plastering and suturing, requesting x-rays from triage, and cannulation of paediatric patients. Your personal development will be supported through clinical supervision with the Paediatric ED Matron and Lead Nurse.

Main duties of the job
The Occupational Therapy service within the West Integrated Health Community provides a service to adults and children across acute, community and primary care settings (physical and mental health). Bank opportunities are therefore varied, and the type of work offered to successful applicants will be dependent on the needs of the service at the time.
As an Occupational Therapy support worker, you will work under the supervision of registered Occupational Therapists to provide a holistic and person centred service to patients. This may include patient facing tasks, administrative tasks and other tasks to support the day to day running of the departments.
The post provides an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapy students, or those interested in Occupational Therapy as a career, to develop their knowledge and skills within a supportive clinical environment, and provides an excellent opportunity for networking locally.
Good communication and organisational skills are essential along with the ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Spinal team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital as a Data Administrator.
The successful candidate will work alongside our team of Spinal Surgeons to support the capture of patient outcome data via entry into the British Spine Registry to NHSE compliancy and to assist the MDT coordinator with the effective running of the service. The job includes all aspects of data quality, principally communicating with patients at all points of the care pathway to encourage them to participate.
The post holder will also support the Patient Pathway Co-ordinators with the management of patient's pathways, from referral to discharge, including first outpatient appointment, diagnostics and follow-up appointments.
Main duties of the job
The Spinal Database Administrator will be responsible for the collection & management of databases related to the delivery of spinal services and the administration of the Spinal Operational Delivery Network. Primarily maintaining the British Spine Registry (BSR). The (BSR) is a web-based database used to collect information about spinal surgery in the UK. It is a mainly automated system, therefore the post holders main responsibility will be:-
- entering the patients' details into the system.
- contacting patients by phone and in person to explain why we are collecting the data, promoting the benefits of participating, and inviting them to fill in their allocated questionnaires.
- supporting consultants in completing procedure forms post-surgery.
- being a point of contact for any support or queries from patients and consultants.
The post holder will effectively handle telephone calls, email correspondence, process referrals and book appointments, whilst ensuring that patients or visitors receive any information they need prior to accessing our services.

Job summary
We are looking for a confident occupational therapist to work as part of the adult mental health Occupational Therapy service within BCUHB, delivering client centred and specialist, occupationally focused assessments and interventions to adults with mental illness.
The adult mental health Occupational Therapy service endeavours to support the patient recovery journey across the service pathway from crisis, through to admission and community services, supporting self-management and functional independence. The successful candidate will become part of a proactive, BCUHB wide, mental health Occupational Therapy team who work together to develop clinical skills and effectiveness across the adult mental health pathway. We seek to expand the mental health Occupational Therapy provision across all three Areas of BCUHB by evaluating service provision, developing business cases and running pilot projects. The Occupational Therapy service is committed to lifelong learning and evidenced based practice. The current vacancy is within both Inpatient services and Community services .
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have relevant experience and knowledge of mental health Occupational Therapy for adults with mental illness, be able to effectively use tailored 1:1 and group interventions, and establish and harness community networks to facilitate the recovery journey.
The post holder will be a team player and be committed to excellence in seeking the most robust models of intervention to enhance occupational participation. They will be responsible for supervision and development of junior staff and be required to take Occupational Therapy students on Practice Education placements.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner following professional codes of conduct and ethics carrying a varied specialist caseload in a specialist area of practice, which will include patients with complex needs.
The post holder will contribute to and lead some areas of service development duties within their department, which can include attending meetings, and leading in audit, evidence based practice research and service evaluation.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties can include but are not limited to; greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, referring patients, scanning and processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
You need to have good communication skills and customer service experience is essential.
The surgery can be very busy during parts of the day, dealing with the public both face to face and telephone calls from patients, as well as practice team staff queries, so you will need to be able to prioritise and be flexible in dealing with the work load.
Team work is essential as everyone has a part to play in making the running of the Practice as smooth and productive as possible.
The ability to keep calm when sometimes dealing with the public in difficult situations will be an expected part of this position.

Job summary
The Bereavement and Mortuary Service at Betsi Cadwaladr Health board is looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual to join them as a qualified Anatomical Pathology Technician.
You will assist in maintaining the Mortuary and body storage services, across the Health board, while working to your vocational and academic qualifications.
This is a mentally and physically challenging role, managing the deceased and bereaved, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
This role is for those that already hold the RSPH Level 3 or 4 in Anatomical Pathology or equivalent qualifications. Banding salary will be dependent on the qualification and experience.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic, self motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Essential quality is being able to demonstrate empathy towards the bereaved. Within the role there will be regular contact with external agencies such as Coroner services, Police and Funeral Directors. Current working knowledge of Home Office & Coronial post mortem requirements and the Human Tissue Authority Standards is also required.
You should be able to assist pathologist to a high-quality standard with Coronial and hospital post-mortems. You will be required to provide mortuary and bereavement cover on other sites within BCUHB.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
