Job summary
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Children's Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary therapy service at Vranch House School & Centre.
This part-time role offers flexibility, with the option to work year-round or term-time only, helping you achieve the right work-life balance.
As part of our wider Therapy Service, you will support:
- Community outpatients aged 5-18 years attending mainstream education settings across Devon.
- Children and young people aged 2-19 years with complex physical needs attending Vranch House Special School.
At Vranch House, we're proud to provide a truly unique environment for therapists. This is more than just a job. It's an opportunity to develop your skills, explore new approaches and make a real difference to the lives of children and young people across Devon.
- Excellent opportunities for continuing professional development (CPD), including specialist training and support for career progression.
- Regular supervision, mentoring and opportunities to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
- The opportunity to work in what many therapists describe as a "therapist playground" - a creative environment where you can trial, develop and deliver innovative interventions tailored to each child's needs.
- The chance to make a meaningful impact in both community and specialist school settings.
If you are enthusiastic, creative and keen to develop your clinical skills, we would love to hear from you.

Work collaboratively with children, young people and families to establish meaningful goals.
Deliver therapy programmes and interventions through individual and group sessions in education settings, at Vranch House School and within the Outpatient Department.
Use your clinical expertise to help children achieve their potential through child-centred therapeutic approaches.
Build strong relations through effective verbal and written communication, including participation in TAF meetings and maintaining accurate records.
Identify and coordinate onward referrals, including to Wheelchair Services, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy CFHD.
Work closely with families, education professionals, the Vranch House Therapy Team and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
Work autonomously while managing a varied workload.
Support the development of junior staff and students through supervision and appraisal.
Deliver training and in-service sessions to education staff, parents, carers and members of the Vranch House Therapy Team.
