You will work as part of a team to ensure all high/low level tasks are completed within a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
The shift is to work on the high/low level team and to complete the following tasks:
To ensure all vents are cleaned thoroughly.

Key DutiesClean allocated work area to the agreed standards and frequencies as detailed in work schedules
Carry our specialised cleaning tasks, including isolation rooms, theatres etc. to agreed standards.
Have the ability to follow instructions and to suggest changes in working practices
To act as a mentor for newly appointed staff, providing on job training and instruction
Occasional exposure to distressing circumstances e.g. vulnerable/aggressive patients
Wear the correct PPE and in line with IPCT guidelines
To clean using the correct method, equipment and materials.
To undertake the cleaning of all surfaces including edges, ledges, fixtures and fittings. To undertake the cleaning of all hard and soft floors using the correct method and equipment.
To clean sanitary areas using the correct method and equipment.
To replenish supplies of paper hand towels, toilet rolls, soap, hand sanitizer and hand conditioner.
Collect patient water jugs and glasses, refill and redistribute.
Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner and hazard

Standard Clauses
The purpose of this post should remain constant, but the duties and responsibilities may vary over time within the overall role and level of the post. The post holder may from time to time be asked to undertake other reasonable duties. Any such changes will be made in discussion with the post holder in the light of service needs.
Competence
The post holder is responsible for limiting their actions to those which they feel competent to undertake. If the post holder has any doubts as to their competence during the course of their duties, then they should immediately speak to their line manager or supervisor.
Codes of conduct
All employees of the Trust who are required to be registered with a professional body, to enable them to practise within their profession, are required to comply with their code of conduct and requirements of their professional registration. Those staff that are not required to be registered with a professional body are required to comply with the Trusts codes of conduct.
Confidentiality
The post holder must maintain confidentiality, security and integrity of information relating to patients, staff and other Health Service business.
Health and Safety
Employees must be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and the Manual Handling Operations Regulations (1992) and all relevant Trust Health and Safety Policies and Guidance. This ensures that the agreed safety procedures are carried out to maintain a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors to the Trust.
Infection Control
Employees must accept personal responsibility and accountability for Infection Prevention and Control practice. Employees should ensure they are familiar with, and comply with, all relevant Infection Control policies for minimising the risk of avoidable Health Care Associated Infection. All Employees must undertake annual mandatory updates in Infection Control.
Commitment to Improvement
Our improvement methodology supports delivery of our strategic objectives by equipping teams with the skills and mindset to drive continuous improvement. It promotes a shared approach to identifying, communicating, and measuring change to enhance care quality and safety. You will be expected to take part in relevant training to support this.
Non-Smoking Policy
The Trusts approach to smoking is in line with the governments on-going initiatives for an eventual smoke-free environment. It aims to adhere to the Worcestershire Health Community Campaign to help Worcestershire stop smoking.
A no smoking environment policy exists within all Trust premises including entrances and exits to hospital buildings and on other Trust property. In June 2014 a ban was implanted which meant staff, contractors and volunteers were no longer permitted to smoke in any of the hospital grounds, including car parks.
Further to this, The Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals, have all become smoke free to all patients and visitors as of 17 June 2015. This means that, as well as staff, members of the public, patients and visitors are not allowed to smoke in any of the acute hospital grounds, including car parks.
Risk Management
It is a standard element of the role and responsibility of all employees of the Trust that they fulfil a proactive role towards the management of risk in all of their actions. This entails the risk assessment of all situations, taking appropriate actions, and reporting all incidents, near misses, and hazards promptly. It is a contractual obligation that all employees must co-operate with any investigations undertaken.
Children and vulnerable adults
You have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children / young people / vulnerable adults that you come into contact with or are responsible for in your job role and sphere of competence.
Disclosure and Barring Service
The Trust aims to promote equality of opportunity for all, with the right mix of talent, skills and potential. Criminal records will be taken into account for recruitment purposes, only when the conviction is relevant. As the Trust meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, all applicants who are offered employment will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. Postholders may periodically be asked to undertake a re-check.
The Trust is legally required to check all staff against the Disclosures and Barring Services Children's and Vulnerable Adults barring lists if they engage in what is defined as Regulated Activity or Controlled Activity: Regulated Activity is defined as working closely with children or vulnerable adults, paid or unpaid, on a frequent or intensive basis. We are looking for an enthusiastic staff member to join our housekeeping team working the following shift:
Monday-Friday 05:00-08:00
You will work as a team but also on your own, once all training is completed.
Main duties of the job
This shift is to work on clinics and areas and to complete the following tasks:

The post holder will work within clearly defined boundaries of their associate practitioner competencies and carry out specific delegated clinical tasks and responsibilities as defined by the advanced clinical practitioner. The assistant practitioner will be assessed as proficient to work at a higher competency than expected of a band 3 health care worker, they will work in partnerships with team members, service uses, general practice, multidisciplinary teams and private/voluntary agencies. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously in a variety of setting including the patient's own home. Being able to work alone and travel in a rural area is essential. Main duties of the job
To carry own caseload of patients, as delegated by the Team Leads or senior clinicians on a daily basis.
Communicate with patients and their carers using tact, diplomacy, empathy and reassurance during potentially difficult or stressful situations or where there may be barriers to understanding, i.e. confusion, physical impairment, cognitive failure or language barrier.
Referral of patients to internal/external clinical and non-clinical team and/or other agencies.
Assist with effective and timely discharge planning for patients returning home from Hospital or to prevent hospital admission.
To be responsible for organising own caseload, ensuring all allocated tasks and visits are completed in discussion with the Registered health Professionals/ team lead.
Report untoward incidents and risks according to Trust/employer policies and procedures and participate in incident and complaint investigations as required

To undertake administrative duties including answering telephones, taking messages, processing referrals and booking appointments as appropriate and maintain departmental paperwork as required.

To provide a service working within the Clinical Nurse Specialist nursing team within the speciality of Neurology. Manages a caseload. Acting as a link with the Worcestershire Community trust, particularly the Community Neurology Team, to ensure timely and appropriate transfer of care in a managed way.

Hereford City District Nursing Team
Due to the current post holder being successful in obtaining a place of the DN Specialist Practitioner Course at Birmingham University we are able to offer a fixed term Band 5 community nurse post.

Due to the promotion of the current post holder we have a full time Band 5 community staff nurse vacancy within City District Nursing Team. As a Community Nurse you will become highly skilled in many different areas using many extended clinical skills and where no two days are the same.
The team supports patients registered with the 2 Primary Care Networks which are co-located in the City of Herefordshire. It is a large team with a caseload of around 850 patients, this allows a higher level of support for staff new to the community, allowing supervision for competency achievement.
Our base is at Belmont and we share a large office with neighbourhood team therapists which enables excellent levels of communication regarding shared patient care and concerns.
Main duties of the job
Most of our work is with housebound patients but, we also run a District Nurse Clinic for non-housebound patients who need the very specific skills of a District Nurse to support their treatment.
The focus of District Nursing is to support patients towards self-management, enabling them to continue to live as full and productive a life as possible, through education, equipment and or lifestyle changes. We also have the privilege of supporting people and their families at the end of their lives, working in close liaison with the Hospice Teams and Specialist Palliative Care Nurses.
As community teams we enjoy working with many other health and social care professionals, Care Homes and Care Agencies. All staff are expected to record their work electronically on EMIS, our electronic patient record system which links into the GP services to allow a seamless service provision. Training and on-going support will be given to support staff with EMIS and other electronic systems they will need to use.

The Golden Valley District Nursing Team are a small but very supportive and dedicated team, we are an incredibly engaging, positive and hard-working team, providing care and support to patients in their own homes. Due to the small size of the team with a very large geographical area to cover, community experience/knowledge is beneficial and advised for this post.
We work closely with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams, including GP's, Palliative Care Nurses, Therapy Teams, and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.

Main duties of the job
Our aim is to provide treatment and support to patients in their own homes. Whilst undertaking a holistic nursing assessment, we aim to encourage patients to remain as independent as possible, in order to prevent hospital admissions.
Due to the nature of this role, the ability to meet the travel requirements of the post are essential.
The Golden Valley cover one of the largest areas within the service, this post will include a high amount of travel.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated ward house assistant to join Beech A ward at Worcester. The main element of the role is ensuring and supporting the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patients needs, as determined by the ward sister/charge nurse.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical Division for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Oral/Maxillofacial/Orthodontics Admin team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as a Support Medical Secretary working 30 hours per week.
We are looking for a conscientious and adaptable person to work with the service. As part of our team, you will be helping to provide an efficient and comprehensive secretarial service to Consultants and specialty registrars within Oral/Maxillofacial/Orthodontics. Experience of providing administrative support is essential.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting would be advantageous, however, full training will be given on our in-house IT systems.

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a committed patient focused Therapeutic Radiographer to come and join our friendly team here at the Worcester Oncology Centre.
As a band 5 radiographer you will rotate throughout the department including the pre-treatment (CT) area.
Where are we? We are based in a new bespoke purpose built building on the Worcestershire Royal Hospital site, with beautiful views of the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds. Worcester is a thriving city on the banks of the River Severn, close to areas of outstanding natural beauty. We have close links to the M5; Birmingham, Cheltenham and Bristol are all within easy reach.
Who are we? We are a small friendly team of approximately 35 radiographers. We have 3 Elekta Linacs, 2 of which are capable of 4DXVI as well as a superficial unit and a Cannon wide bore CT scanner as well as Raystation planning system on which youll carry out Vsim planning. We are paper light utilizing Mosaiq which is shared with University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.
We strive to ensure that all patients are treated in a supportive and calming environment. As a result, we offer excellent facilities for patients including Radiographer led clinics as well as site specialist radiographers.
2026 will be an exciting year for us with the start of our full equipment replacement program as well as the installation of SGRT.
We provide placements for undergraduate students from Birmingham City University.

To work as part of a Radiography team under the supervision of Senior Radiographers in the planning and delivery of radiotherapy treatment using highly specialist equipment. Providing information, education, practical and emotional support to patients and carers during their radiotherapy episode.

Job summary
Applications are being sought to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology medical team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.All Specialty Doctor appointments are made in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of service.
Applicants will have completed at least six years full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) and have at least 2 years of NHS experience at senior registrar level in a relevant specialty. Alternatively, applicants shall have the equivalent experience and competencies of this specialist training. You should also hold full GMC registration and have completed MRCOG prior to commencing the post.
The post holder will have the majority of their duties based at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital but may be expected to undertake outpatient clinics and theatres in a variety of settings cross county.
All emergency work is carried out at WRH with the delivery suite also based here. Gynaecology outpatient clinics and Antenatal clinics run at the Kidderminster Treatment Centre, The Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, Evesham, Bromsgrove, Malvern and Tenbury.
At the AH we have developed a Womens Health Unit where we undertake the majority of ambulatory procedures.Day case and short stay intermediate surgical procedures are performed mainly at KTC and AH, with most complex surgery occurring at the main WRH site. We have also recently started performing robotic surgery in AH.
Main duties of the job
This is a whole time post based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
This post is suitable for a doctor who:
- Is wishing to continue to develop their general Obstetrics and Gynaecology skills
- Can independently run antenatal clinics, general gynaecology clinics, and theatre sessions, including caesarean section lists
- Has an interest in menopause and has completed, or is registered for, the Menopause ATSM or SITM.
- Is happy to supervise and assist Foundation and Junior doctors (GP trainees and ST1-2) in the admission of new patients
- Is able to assist and contribute to Gynaecology and antenatal clinics, participate in ward rounds, manage delivery suite, perform caesarean sections and assist in gynaecology theatre
- Can attend departmental meetings as required

Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Band 4 exercise technician to work with the countywide Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service. This is a part time 0.6 WTE. Days are fixed: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation team provide a comprehensive exercise and education programme across Worcestershire. The successful candidate would be working predominantly within the Redditch programme, although some cross county cover may be needed at times.
A full induction programme would be given to any successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
- To assess, plan, treat and review the exercise needs of patients referred for Pulmonary Rehabilitation with an underlying chronic respiratory disease, providing high quality, evidence-based exercise interventions
- To assess service users suitability for exercise, adhering to guidelines
- To carry out maximal functional exercise testing with patients with chronic respiratory disease pre and post PR; monitoring and assessing oxygen levels, BP, heart rate, Pre and post PR.

Ward 16 delivers high-quality pre and post-operative care to patients undergoing planned orthopaedic surgery and plays a vital role in supporting excellent patient outcomes and flow across the Trust. Main duties of the job

You will work solely in the MSK physiotherapy specialism and we will begin your journey toward MSK specialisation within our department at Hereford County Hospital.
The department supports several of our band 6 MSK rotations and our MCATS clinicians. You will also be allocates an MSK mentor and participate in the preceptorship programme at the trust. Main duties of the job
Your main duties will include the MSK assessment and treatment of a range of patients from primary and secondary care. Your workload will be varied and include some 1:1 sessions and involvement with some group activities. You will have an MSK mentor and will set your own learning objectives alongside those required as we develop the rotation.
You will also have an opportunity to shadow the MSK clinical specialists and an MSK career pathway leading to band 6 and 7 rotational opportunities within the organisation including post graduate course funding . There is no on call or 7 day working required in this role.
