Job summary
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust is one of the largest acute hospital Trusts in England, serving the populations of Birmingham and Solihull. The Trust is composed of four main hospital sites; Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEHB), Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital (HGS). The post-holder will be expected to be based at Heartlands Hospital unless service provision is required across site. The department will be looking into taking on a HCPC registered biomedical scientist.
The department provides a 24/7 diagnostic and monitoring service for routine and urgent automated investigations. The Clinical Chemistry department is equipment with Abbott Alinity c and i series analysers and the Abbott a3600 track.
Specialist Chemistry provides a wide range of services to the Trust as well as other Hospital Trusts. Equipment includes IDS iSYS, Cascadion, Shimadzu HPLC and Sciex Tandem Mass Spectrometry analysers, with several tests measured including immunosuppressant's and steroids. There are manual methods using radio-immunoassay for alpha-subunits and ELISA for faecal Elastase.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HCPC registered BMS and becoming fully competent in all areas of Biochemistry.
This is a full time permanent post (37.5 hrs per week).
Main duties of the job
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our busy, friendly team and support our progressive department in providing high quality, timely and specialised services. We are UKAS accredited to ISO 15189 standards, MHRA approved and IBMS accredited for training.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of working in a fast-paced department that is continually growing, and to expand and develop your existing knowledge and skills.
You must have an accredited BSc in Biomedical Science and be HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist in order to apply for the position.
The laboratory operates a 24/7 service and, after appropriate training, you will be expected to support the departmental shift system as required - including weekends. Shifts include Early (7:30-3:30pm), Day (9:00-5:00pm), Late (2:00-10:00pm) and Nights (9:45pm-7:45am).

Main duties of the job
The Post Senior Clinical Fellow will provide senior clinical leadership across all areas of the Emergency Department, delivering high-quality emergency care while undertaking consultant-level responsibilities. This includes acting as the Emergency Physician in Charge (EPIC), leading the Resuscitation Area, Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), Rapid Assessment and Triage (RAT), Ambulatory Emergency Care, and participating in paediatric emergency medicine.The Fellow will supervise and support junior doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and the wider multidisciplinary team, contributing to safe, effective patient care and departmental flow. In addition to clinical duties, the role includes participation in service development, teaching, governance, audit, research and quality improvement activities. Fellows will benefit from protected non-clinical time to develop a specialist interest, supported by experienced consultant mentors, together with study leave and funding to support professional development. The successful candidate will maintain professional standards, mandatory training, confidentiality, and continuing professional development while preparing for a consultant post.

Applications are invited to join our dynamic, forward-thinking and friendly radiotherapy physics team as a Specialist Radiotherapy Dosimetrist at Northampton General Hospital (NGH). Joining the treatment planning team at NGH, you would predominantly be using Varian Eclipse and Aria. AI contouring and knowledge-based planning have been routinely established in Northampton radiotherapy for several years.
NGH radiotherapy is scheduled to have an exciting period of equipment updates in the near future. In 2026 we are due to install our second new linac with advanced imaging and SGRT capabilities. A move to the Aria Cloud is planned, where RapidArc Dynamic for planning and delivery will be included for the first time.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an individual with experience across all areas of external beam radiotherapy planning. Experience planning a broad range of treatment sites, including advanced techniques, is desirable.
At Northampton, treatment planning is delivered within a multidisciplinary radiotherapy team. The post-holder will be expected to work closely with oncology and radiotherapy colleagues, including medical staff, physicists, technicians and radiographers.
The post-holder will also be expected to contribute routinely to departmental training and development activities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated Occupational Therapist to join us in the Therapy department at Northampton General Hospital, part of the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire group for a 9 month fixed term contract until June 2027. The post will involve working as part of the joint therapy team (OTs, Physios and Support Staff) with rotations including Acute Medicine, Elderly Care, Urgent Care and Frailty, Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Stroke, Respiratory and Hand Therapy. The successful candidate would be expected to work as part of our 7-day service where weekend working will be required.
As a Band 5 clinician within the team you will be required to take part in delivering a quality Occupational Therapy Service working closely with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team including Physiotherapy, Technical Instructors, Nurses, Medics and the Hospital Complex case discharge Team.
Main duties of the job
To provide a professional Occupational Therapy service to patients on own caseload, under the supervision of senior colleagues.
Rotations include: Surgery, Acute Medicine, Elderly Care, Stroke, Hand therapy, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Urgent Care and Frailty and Respiratory.
To actively contribute to the discharge planning process by selecting and implementing appropriate assessments and interventions to address the needs of patients including those with an acute illness, following injury or surgery and those with chronic disease, palliative illness or undergoing a period of acute re enablement.
Work closely with physiotherapy colleges and the wider MDT
Support the team in the day to day running of the therapy service
Provide effective input into the work of the Trust, to support the achievement of our vision and values.

We have exciting opportunities for motivated, enthusiastic and committed Physiotherapists to join the team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. Main duties of the job
Each rotation will offer the post holder an opportunity to participate in the training and development of staff.

Teaching, supervision, support and training will be part of your role.
This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. These fixed-term locum consultant posts in anaesthesia based at The Royal London Hospital have arisen due to temporary staff redeployment.The posts are to start in November 2026, and will be for a period of 6 months. The successful candidates may be asked to cover surgical lists at Barts or Mile End Hospitals if required. We are a large GP practice based in West Derby , We are friendly , supportive and looking to train and develop staff with an NHS background , to work within our busy team

We are a 24-cot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, level 3 , within the Cheshire and Mersey Neonatal Network. providing care for infants and their families from 22 weeks and above.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our well-established team of over 60 Integrated Therapy staff. You will provide high standard Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions within an integrated therapy team. These rotational positions offer an important opportunity and challenging career move for you to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge. As a department we are committed to excellence and provide regular staff supervision and appraisal. The department also supports occupational therapy students.
Our team is highly focussed on supporting your development and we work hard to ensure you will receive 1:1 supervision, regular training/peer reviews and access to advice and support.
All Occupational Therapist benefit from protected CPD time, as well as the opportunity to attend locally organised courses run by nationally accredited tutors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and compassionate Therapy Assistant with a passion for helping adults to live better following vascular surgery.
The Wirral Limb Centre Service is a multidisciplinary team including doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and a prosthetics. You will work within the limb centre service to support the smooth running of the team by performing a range of clinical, clerical, administrational, housekeeping and departmental tasks.

Main duties of the job
- Communicate effectively within the Therapy Team and members of the multidisciplinary Team.
- Establish a rapport with patients in order to gain their compliance with exercise programmes.
- Work under the guidance of the Qualified Therapy staff.
- To be a caring and responsible member of the Therapies service and contribute the Directorate activities.
- To support the Therapists in delivering patient focussed care undertaking a range of clinical, clerical and admin, and housekeeping tasks.
- Organise and prioritise workload, under the guidance of a qualified Therapist.
- To be guided by standard operational procedures, protocol and guidelines.
- To prepare the patient and environment for the required therapeutic activity.
- Assist patients in dress/undress, ensuring the patients personal care needs are met, transporting patients to the treatment area.

A vacancy has become available for a Staff Nurse - within the Acute Stroke Ward, Ward 23, responsible for the assessment planning and delivery of nursing care for a caseload of patients. Job summary
As our Clinical Governance Lead, you will provide visible leadership across our clinical teams, supporting the continuous improvement of patient and family services and helping us to deliver high-quality, effective and responsive care.
Main duties of the job
You will support the implementation of our clinical governance framework, lead audit and quality improvement activity, oversee clinical risk and patient safety processes, and help ensure our continued readiness for Care Quality Commission inspections. The role also includes responsibility for clinical complaints oversight, incident reporting, PSIRF learning responses, clinical policy development and the effective use of clinical governance data and systems.
You will act as the Hospices Medical Devices Safety Officer, Medicines Safety Officer and Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) Learning and Response Lead, and will participate in the clinical on-call rota.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, and patient-focused Band 6 Radiographer with experience in CT and MRI to join our friendly and progressive Radiology Department. This role is ideally suited to radiographers who already possess cross-sectional imaging experience and are looking to further develop their specialist skills within a supportive and forward-thinking team environment.
Our department is committed to staff development and actively supports extended clinical roles and postgraduate education.

The Radiology Department operates across our two sites at Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital, offering a varied and dynamic working environment with exposure to a wide range of specialist imaging services.

Main duties of the job
- To act in a supervisory role and to advise and assist junior staff (or other nominated staff) in the performance of their duties. Perform formal assessment for radiographic students and assistant practitioners and to aid student education including practical demonstrations and tutorials.
- To deputise for Modality Lead Radiographer when necessary.
- To manage the workload in the area in which you are working to ensure a steady flow of patients and regular breaks for staff. To be fully competent in the operation of all appropriate imaging equipment along with additional equipment such as suction/oxygen.
- To be able to work unaided in the department, teach others to use the equipment and use advance technical knowledge to give advice or solve problems when necessary. Use knowledge and skill to adapt your radiographic technique for complicated cases.
- To monitor the standard of radiography in the area in which you are working and to take remedial action if necessary.
- To deal with, report and keep records of equipment failures where appropriate and to assist in equipment selection. Keep up to date by pursuing continuous professional development to maintain one's own education and development in line with CoR guidelines. To undertake additional training in order to permit the implementation of service development.
