If you are the kind of person who can turn an ordinary Tuesday into something residents look forward to, loves coming up with new ideas, enjoys making people laugh and gets genuine satisfaction from seeing someone else's face light up, we would love to hear from you.
This is much more than organising activities. We want someone who can get to know our residents as individuals, discover what makes them smile, understand their interests and life stories, and create opportunities that give them a sense of purpose, connection and enjoyment.
A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to people's every day lives, working within a supportive and friendly team environment.
Main duties of the job
- Getting to know each resident and developing activities around their personal interests, hobbies, memories and abilities.

About us
A Home Away from Home
At Ami Group, we want our homes to feel just that, a home. Somewhere our residents feel comfortable, cared for and valued.
We are a family-run group of care homes, and our family values are at the heart of how we work. We have two care homes in Deal; Ami Group (Ami Court and The Knoll units) and Brook Lodge (Jasmine and Lotus units). We provide a range of care including nursing, residential, dementia, rehabilitation and palliative care across our homes in Deal.
We aim to create a warm, welcoming and homely environment where our residents can enjoy their lives, stay as independent as possible and feel part of a community.
We also believe that looking after our staff is just as important as looking after our residents. We want our teams to feel supported, appreciated and part of the Ami Group family.
If you join us, you will be joining a team where people genuinely matter.

Further details about the role can be found in the job description below.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for a fellowship post within Wessex Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit at Southampton, to start in February 2027. This post is for 1 year. We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalising your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.

Posted 29 day(s) ago
Reference: 839-8255969-GP
Job summary
East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust is recruiting a Clinical Fellow to join the specialist palliative care team at Priscilla Bacon Lodge, Norwich - a 16-bed, consultant-led inpatient unit, purpose-built in 2023 with the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity.
This is a one-year, full-time fixed-term post. You'll work within a three-consultant-led multidisciplinary team, gaining direct clinical experience in symptom control and end-of-life care. You'll get a structured induction before joining the on-call rota, backed at all times by a second on-call Consultant.
If you want to develop your skills in palliative medicine with genuine senior support, please apply.
Main duties of the job
As Clinical Fellow, you'll work alongside our Consultants and wider multidisciplinary team to provide medical care to the 16 inpatients at Priscilla Bacon Lodge, with occasional cover for our Living Well Centre day unit and community specialist palliative care team. You'll take part in the non-resident first on-call rota (1 in 5), covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays, including a full Saturday ward round - always supported remotely by a second on-call Consultant.
We're looking for someone who is:
- A qualified doctor (MBBS or equivalent) with full GMC registration and a licence to practise.
- Experienced - at least two years' full-time general medical experience post registration.
- A confident communicator who works well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Organised, able to prioritise a varied clinical workload.
- Enthusiastic about teaching, audit and service development.
- Keen to develop a career in palliative medicine - previous experience in the specialty is a bonus, but not essential, as full support and induction will be provided.
About us
Please be aware that East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust will never ask applicants to pay fees at any stage of the recruitment process, including job applications, sponsorship arrangements, or employment offers. All recruitment communications and job applications should only be made through our official careers website and published contact details. If you receive a suspicious job offer or recruitment-related communication, do not make any payments, share personal information, or provide identity documents. We encourage you to report the matter to your local police or relevant law enforcement agency. Any concerns relating to potential recruitment fraud should also be reported to our Local Counter Fraud Specialist (LCFS) as soon as possible.
You'll join a small in-patient team of medical and nursing staff, therapists, chaplaincy and volunteers, with consultants present and accessible day to day. There's a strong teaching culture - regular journal clubs, postgraduate teaching meetings, and doctors coming through from the Norwich GP and core medical training schemes, the Eastern Region Palliative Medicine Specialist Registrar Training Scheme, and other specialties on secondment. The service has shifted focus in recent years toward greater emphasis on symptom control and rehabilitation, so the caseload is broad, including patients with non-malignant conditions.
