Job summary
Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Specialist Audiologist.
You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality audiological services. Your primary focus will be on supporting both the Adult and paediatric Hearing Service, helping individuals regain confidence in their hearing and improving their quality of life.

Main duties of the job
You will be joining an IQIPS accrediated service where they will be expected to provide support to patients attending the audiology service and/or ENT.
You will be required to undertake routine diagnostic assessment of patients of all ages, to fit and maintain NHS hearing aids and participate with all routine duties within the department.
You will also be expected to assist in the day to day running of the Department.
You will be expected to participate with the supervision of BSc students, under the overall guidance of the Team leader.
You will be working with children, families and adults, planning diagnostic testing and rehabiliation programmes.
You will develop a specialist interest area and may take responsibility for this area as part of the team.
Planning and managing a caseload of adult and/or children
Planning and carrying out audiological diagnostic testing
Contributing to data collection for audit and/or service planning
Supervising students and/or junior members of staff
Managing and performing for our home visit service

Job summary
We are looking to appoint a cheerful, motivated and ambitious person to join our Ophthalmology Reception at Southend Hospital. For a part time role with a flexible approach to working hours and duties would be essential.
This is a busy reception and provides a focal point for receiving patients, visitors, and staff where you will need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way, but be able to multi task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions and possess excellent communication skills.
No specific qualifications are required; however, you should have good keyboard skills and previous experience in a healthcare setting would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job

Within the paediatric surgical team you will find a wide range of ages as we care for children from birth, sometimes up to 18 years old, with a mix of specialities. CityCares Health Reablement and urgent care services deal with a wide range of cases, providing care and rehabilitation for people presenting with complex pathologies, as well as challenging medical and social circumstances.
We are seeking staff with a wide range of holistic health and social care skills and experiences to complement our service. Visiting patients within their own homes, the teams are dedicated to preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and promoting independence and quality of life. You will be working closely with Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists and Nurses as well as GPs, District Nurses, Community Matrons, the acute trust and a range of Health and Social Care Professionals.
The aim of our service is to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and to facilitate timely and safe discharges from the acute setting. We promote independence and with intensive rehabilitation and assessment, we strive to help our service users to achieve their goals, however big or small. Rehabilitation Support Workers practise under the guidance and supervision of the Clinical team.
The hours of work will be 7am-10pm on a fixed rolling Rota basis (out of hours operations carries an enhancement). The Service operates 7 days per week, 365 days per year and bank holidays.

The successful candidate will;

Main duties of the job
As an Urgent Care Practitioner in our team you will work in partnership with service users with complex health presentations, developing their care plans and recovery plans to enable them to lead fulfilling lives.
You will be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of top-quality care to service users. This will include working alongside service users, carers, families and partner agencies such as voluntary sector agencies, schools and colleges.
As well as providing specialist nursing advice and carry out nursing procedures, and monitoring the effectiveness of treatments in order to progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.
You may also be involved in providing clinical supervision to staff and students. This may include acting as shift co-ordinator as needed to lead the team on shift, as well as allocating and delegating tasks to colleagues. You will be expected to liaise with other services and external agencies to triage referrals to the service and gatekeep inpatient admissions.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity to join the unique Waltham Forest Integrated Stroke Pathway (WISP) (part of Barts Health Hub and Spoke service).This innovative pathway was set up in 2020 integrating stroke rehabilitation across the in-patient Stroke Unit team and the Community Stroke Team. It provides seamless, goal-driven rehabilitation from the same stroke specialist personnel along the patient journey from hospital to home- without any time or session bound end points or disruptive hand-offs.
This is the perfect post for a Physiotherapist who has experience of stroke, enjoys working across the rehab pathway and is able to support qualified and no-registrant staff. The team that you will be joining is vibrant, promoting self-management and multi-disciplinary working. The Forensic Secure Service offers you the exciting opportunity to work within the Secure Inpatient Service.

Main duties of the job
As a Complaints Case Handler, you will:
- Manage and coordinate patient complaints from receipt to resolution, maintaining oversight of timescales, actions and communication.
- Listen carefully and compassionately to patients and families, identifying the key issues and responding appropriately to sensitive or distressing circumstances.
- Analyse concerns and support thorough, evidence-based investigations across clinical divisions.
- Quality assure response letters on behalf of the Chief Executive, ensuring they are accurate, clear, compassionate and of a consistently high standard.
- Build constructive relationships with complainants, clinical teams and senior stakeholders, using diplomacy and professional challenge where required.
- Facilitate and support Local Resolution Meetings, helping all parties navigate complex issues and reach a clear way forward.
- Identify themes, risks and learning opportunities arising from complaints, contributing to safer care and organisational improvement.
- Deliver training on customer care and complaints handling and provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.

Manage the complexity of issues across consent, safeguarding and patient safety arising in complaints escalating to the Experience of Care Lead and/or wider teams as and when required.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate and relevant DCIQ information to ensure there is a robust system for producing accurate and timely reports and comply with Trust Information Governance policy and Data Protection Act.
To work with the Complaints Administrator to co-ordinate the process of responding to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman when notification is received regarding complaints they intend to review, ensuring that relevant documentation is provided, and that Care Groups and Divisions are kept up to date with progress of review.
Managing Freedom of Information requests ensuring that the information is provided to the FOI Team within the deadline set.
Be able to constantly re-prioritise in the face of fluctuating volumes of work and be resilient in difficult and/or sensitive situations involving conflict, bereavement and challenge.
To support senior staff in the production of action plans in keeping with the recommendations of complaints which are upheld by the Ombudsman.
To produce and present regular training sessions for Trust staff in Customer Care and Complaints Handling.
To support the Experience of Care Lead in providing regular updates on any emerging themes or serious complaints as part of the learning culture in complaints handling.
