Job summary
A vacancy for a full-time position in the Oncology department at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital. The Assistant Medical Secretary post holder will assist the Senior Clinical Secretary in delivering an effective and efficient administration service, to assist in the provision of quality patient care. The post holder will be the first point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients' pathway of care and will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable.
Main duties of the job
The post will consist of general clerical and administrative duties that facilitate the administrative elements of the entire patient pathway, including the following:
- Registering referrals
- Appointing patients and supporting the appointment process
- Input data into patient/client records
- Inpatient and Outpatient pathway tracking
- Communications and patient care
The post holder will have skills in all areas of administrative functions to enable them to support the patient pathway, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that functions of the role are carried out correctly within given timescales, concerning compliance with all aspects of the Referral to Treatment Access Policy (RTT).

Job summary
The post-holder will be working with the rest of the team at Beechwood Medical Centre. You will mainly be working in the administration office dealing with patients on the telephone. You will work alongside other team members who will be working in this office. The hours are quite specific in order to cover the site for all of the hours we are open. Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the receptionist and admin clerk. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will depend on factors such as workload and staffing levels as directed by the Practice Operations Manager:
a. Carry out administrative duties associated with working in a busy General Practice.
b. Deal with all patients and visitors to the practice in a face to face and telephone environment.
c. Book, change and cancel appointments for patients in line with current arrangements.
d. Deal with things, like prescription requests, patient registrations, patient signposting and carrying out duties as requested by the Practice Operations Manager, Business Manager or Partners
e. To work with other team members and support the practice operationally. This may included things like ordering, room allocations, photocopying, post management and other general reception and admin duties.
The hours for this role are very specific in order to cover the surgery for the hours we are open:
Monday - 1.00pm - 6.30pm (5.5 Hours)
Tuesday - 3.30pm - 6.30pm (3.0 Hours)
Wednesday - Day Off
Thursday - 3.30pm - 6.30pm (3 Hours)
Friday - 8.00am - 6.30pm (10 Hours) to include a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak.
Total weekly hours - 21.5
You MUST be able to work these hours, although we will have a small degree of flexability.

As a Band 5/6 Paediatric Nurse in our PEN team, you will:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, highly motivated and passionate Enhanced Clinical Practitioner with excellent communication skills to take on the role of Enhanced Clinical Practitioner in the Trauma Assessment & Coordination Team (TAC team).

Please note:Elective orthopaedics is currently based at Bournemouth hospital with plans to move to Poole Hospital as part of the restructuring of services across UHD and vice versa for Trauma. Main duties of the job
What Youll Be Doing
You will support a range of duties overnight, including:
- Support the registered nurse on the night shift on emergency response and personal care as needed
- Carry out administrative tasks such as updating records and data inputting
- You will be ILS (Immediate Life Support) trained by us onsite, as well as NEWS2
- Acting as pharmacy second checker and assisting with medication rounds

Due to increased funding for stroke intensity rehabilitation we are looking for 2 motivated individuals who are committed to working as part of our neuro rehab team providing specialist stroke therapy to optimise quality of life.
The postholder is responsible for assisting the therapists in providing a high standard of care to patients whilst being based on the ward.To treat patients referred by a therapist, according to set stroke rehabilitation treatments goals, monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment as necessary.
The ward based therapy assistant is expected to undertake therapy tasks independently, following written or verbal instructions from a qualified therapist.
To undertake routine administrative and departmental tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department.

The Specialist Palliative Care service consists of a 10 bedded Hospice inpatient unit, Community and Hospital Palliative care teams working 7 days a week, Family Support and Bereavement Services and Day Services.
As a Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will take a key role in the management and leadership of the Community & Hospital Clinical Nurse Specialist Teams, as well as work together with the Senior Leadership Team to steer Specialist Palliative Care Services and influence continuous improvement within the service and across the wider Integrated Care System.
You will act as an expert professional adviser in Specialist Palliative Care, both internally and externally, lead on education, take responsibility for the clinical governance within the teams, provide clinical assessment and advice in complex situations, support the progression and performance of the team and ensure, alongside the Senior Leadership Team, our service continues to be delivered to a high standard and that all compliance requirements are achieved.

To work as an autonomous practitioner managing complex patients both within the community and hospital setting.
To provide senior leadership for the Community & Hospital Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialists and to deputise for other areas of the Hospice in the absence of other senior members of the team.
