As a result of the changes to the UK immigration rules which came into effect on 1 January 2021, the Ministry of Defence will only offer sponsorship for a skilled worker visa under the points-based system, where a role has been deemed to be business critical. This role does not meet that category, and we will not sponsor a visa. It is therefore NOT open to applications from those who will require sponsorship under the points-based system.
Should you apply for this role and be found to require sponsorship, your application will be rejected, and any provisional offer of employment withdrawn.
The Civil Service embraces diversity and promotes equal opportunities. As such, we run a Disability Confident Scheme (DCS) for candidates with disabilities who meet the minimum selection criteria.
If you need to advise us that you need additional help or reasonable adjustments for the recruitment process, please contact [email protected].
Cyber and Specialist Operations Command (CSOC) is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to design the way in which the new Military Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, posts within CSOC are/or may become subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. These changes may be minor or could be more substantive and will generate new opportunities. Throughout, the Commands transformation programme is committed to following the MODs framework on managing and supporting people through the change process and places an emphasis on early and open consultation and engagement with the Commands personnel and Trade Unions.
The Ministry of Defence requires all candidates who are successful at interview to declare any outside interests. These declarations will be discussed with successful candidates following the interview process and before a formal offer of employment is made, as some outside interests may not be compatible with MOD civilian roles. This will not, in the majority of cases, prevent employment in MOD, but it is a measure that must be taken to ensure that appropriate mitigations can be put in place to manage any potential, perceived or actual conflicts of interest from the first day of employment.
The Ministry of Defence adopts a zero tolerance approach to unacceptable behaviours, which includes bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, and victimisation. You will not be eligible and will not be considered for this post if you have been dismissed from a role for such unacceptable behaviours within the last five years. This will also apply if you resign or otherwise leave a role but, because of an adverse decision, would have been dismissed for gross misconduct had you continued in that employment. Pre-employment checks will be carried out.
The Ministry of Defence is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for its staff. Under the Smoke-Free Working Environment policy, Smoking, and the use of all tobacco products (including combustible and chewing tobacco products) will not be permitted anywhere in the Defence working environment, however, some exemptions are in place, please refer to local guidance. The policy is Whole Force and includes all Defence personnel, contractors, visitors, and other non-MOD personnel. All applicants looking for, considering, or accepting employment with the Ministry of Defence should be aware of this policy and that it is already in place at several Defence Establishments.

Job summary
Are you an experienced pharmacy leader looking to influence population health at scale? NHS South East London ICB is seeking an Assistant Director, Medicines Optimisation Delivery Pharmacist to lead delivery of medicines optimisation priorities across Lambeth, Southwark and Bromley.Working across organisational boundaries, you will drive innovation, prevention, neighbourhood health service delivery, and community pharmacy integration, to improve outcomes, reduce inequalities and maximise value from medicines for local communities.
Why join us?o Influence medicines optimisation for a population of over two million people.o Shape delivery of the NHS 10 Year Health Plan through neighbourhood health services.o Lead a high-performing and innovative team working across multiple organisations and sectors.o Drive innovation in prescribing, digital transformation and community pharmacy integration.o Work with senior clinical, operational and strategic leaders with proven track records across South East London.
Main duties of the job
Leading a team of five within a wider system medicines optimisation function, you will be responsible for delivering strategic priorities that improve quality, safety and value from medicines use. You will work closely with primary care, community pharmacy, local authorities and provider organisations to support neighbourhood-based models of care, population health management and reduction of health inequalities.
Key areas of responsibility include prescribing budget management and QIPP delivery, medicines and long-term condition transformation programmes, digital prescribing optimisation tools, workforce development, emerging clinical pathways and the integration of community pharmacy within local health and care services.
You will provide strong professional leadership, build effective partnerships and support collaborative working across organisations to deliver meaningful improvements for patients and communities.
For an informal discussion, please contact Finlay Royle 07825 402907 [email protected] or Clare Fernee on 07958 657772 [email protected]
About us
In 2025, the boards of NHS South East London ICB and NHS South West London ICB took the decision to enter into a clustering arrangement. This means that we share a chair, chief executive officer and an executive team, but we remain as separate, statutory organisations. This also means that the ICBs will share some teams, who will be working across both organisations. Some teams will also be working across both geographical areas and integrated care systems.
This is a period of change for the NHS. The Government's 10 Year Health Plan presents an ambitious vision for a future NHS, with emphasis on the three 'shifts' - from hospital to community, from analogue to digital, and from cure to prevention - all underpinning the new neighbourhood health service.
ICBs are also changing, with a clear focus on strategic commissioning and delivering neighbourhood working. This is an exciting time to work within our ICBs. We currently have the opportunity both to shape the future of our clustered organisations, and to be part of a radical transformation of care for the local people and communities across south London. And while our two ICBs are different in some ways, improving lives for the people we serve is at the core of what we are both here to do.
Please note as you can only be employed by one ICB, this job description refers to 'the 'ICB', but your role may cover both ICB organisations, and / or geographical areas.

Assistant Director of Operational Finance (Band 8d)
Join us in shaping the future of the NHS
Would you like to join a team that is working todeliver sustainable improvements that benefit patients, staff and the wider health and care system?
We are seeking three experienced finance leaders to join our newly established Finance and Planning Directorate, working in North East and Yorkshire region.
You will be joining a new Oversight and Productivity team that has four Assistant Director of Operational Finance roles. Each will be aligned to one of the four Integrated Care Systems within the region.
NHS England regions are moving into a new role with enhanced focus on strategy, performance, improvement and oversight.
This role is an opportunity to work at the heart of the NHS supporting senior leaders across the region to achieve financial sustainability and transformation. This is critical to delivery of national NHS priorities, patient care, and wider health and care reform.
The role will require high-profile working with NHS providers and Integrated Care Boards within the region, and with national teams. It offers a breadth of experience rarely found within a single post at this level, working on a wide range of strategic and operational financial issues. This provides opportunity to influence local systems, support major transformation programmes, and contribute to regional and national priorities.
Main duties of the job
Working across a complex and diverse portfolio, you will build strong relationships with senior leaders across NHS England and local systems. You will be responsible for financial oversight and improvement activity, providing expert financial advice, and helping organisations navigate some of the most challenging issues facing healthcare today.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence financial strategy and operational delivery across multiple organisations, working with senior leaders in varied disciplines to deliver sustainable improvements that benefit patients, staff and the wider health and care system.
You will join a supportive, experienced and high-performing regional finance team in tackling some of the most significant financial, operational and strategic challenges facing the NHS. The role provides exceptional exposure to system leadership, financial recovery, capital planning and business cases, regulatory oversight, productivity, transformation and improvement.
The breadth of experience offered by this role provides excellent preparation for finance professionals seeking to progress towards Deputy Director of Finance, Director of Finance and other senior NHS finance leadership positions.
About us
NHS England has a wide range of statutory functions, responsibilities and regulatory powers. These are focused on supporting the wider NHS to deliver high quality care, as well as doing those things that are best done once for the whole NHS.
Our staff bring expertise across clinical, operational, commissioning, technology, data science, cyber security, software engineering, education, and commercial specialisms -- enabling us to design and deliver high-quality NHS services.
In March 2025, the Government announced that NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care will increasingly merge functions, ultimately leading to NHS England being fully integrated into the department.
If you currently work within the NHS and if successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).This retrieves key data from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement. You may opt out at any stage of the process.
Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in our offices.
We cannot offer visa sponsorship for any vacancies.
